Don't do a demo program here, most of their rackets are a version older which aren't even available for sale anyways so I don't see the point of demoing them. The selection of new rackets is very poor, if you really need a good quality demo program try Sports Warehouse in MTV. read more

My Wilson Blade 98 US Open had a crack. Working with Wilson for a warranty when I noticed that the receipt dated 1/16/24 had a mistake of showing the Blade 98 Noir instead. We both don't know how it happened, but I told him that when I lost my tennis bag with several Blade 98 Bold 98S in Jan. On that day upon visiting his store, I fell in love with the limited edition of US Open and Roland Garros, I bought both. Vu, the owner was very accommodating in writing a letter explaining the case of mistake identity to help my return. Vu Tennis is an extremely nice shop, but it's also on the expensive end since they sell at retail price without any discounts. We came to demo some rackets and the racket program ($30 + $250 deposit) lets you demo one racket at a time for a month. With the one racket restriction, it's a bit hard to compare similar rackets (eg. Blade 98 vs 104). You could opt into a second demo program to borrow 2 rackets at a time, but only one demo fee ($30) is waived per racket purchased. To waive both fees, you would have to buy two rackets. I thought it was strange that they don't waive labor costs for stringing when purchasing rackets through them. All the other stores I've purchased from had free stringing services as long as you purchased the racket from them. Racket Supply for instance, strings the racket and even throws in synthetic gut strings for free when purchasing through them. Costs: Demo program - $30 + $250 deposit (all refunded if you purchase a racket) Stringing service (2 day turnaround) - $15 Expedite service (1 hour turnaround) - +$5 Rackets - retail price Strings - retail price They also have a few other services such as changing grips, grommets, etc. If you don't mind paying retail price and not getting the benefit of free stringing services when purchasing a racket, then Vu Tennis is a great place to go due to the extensive stock they have. The rackets are also the latest models which is nice! Their staff is also nice and helpful, never pressuring us to buy anything whenever we drop by. read more

We made the trip from the Central Valley for this joint as there is only a department store with an extremely limited selection of racquets on-hand. When you get here, you'll notice that they have invested heavily in having racquets of various types, grip sizes, etc. available to check out. I'd say this is a great go-to for all things tennis! Good variety of all things bag/grip/racket (etc.) from some of the top name brands, all in one place. There are also shoes and a fair amount of shirts/shorts! Saves any ensuing goose-chase if you were to buy similar items to deck out a season, at a store like Big 5 Sporting goods. The staff are friendly and there should be no trouble selecting what you're looking for as a player; they'll be happy to walk you through what you need! I'd recommend coming at an earlier time/scheduling a pick-up date, if you want to avoid any waiting when picking up your racket, though! I happened to visit this place when they used to be in Downtown San Jose. Glad they are around and is my definite local shop for all my tennis needs. Took a 3-4 year hiatus from tennis, and needed to get my racquet strung before playing again. With tennis being one of the better sports to play during the pandemic, it made it much easier to get back into tennis. Didn't hesitate to take my racquet to Vu Tennis Also since my racquet was older, I was in the market for a new one.
