They reluctantly offered us $500 to scrap it (mentioning they typically don't do it). My husband called Quality Mobile Auto and Jamie not seeing the vehicle quoted something half the cost for the same service. We drove it over and although the car had more issues than met the eye and we weren't willing to repair it he offered us $700. At that point we were stuck, so decent that he offered us more than the dealership. With our second equally old car we had $2500 worth of repairs that the dealership was quoting us and Jamie managed to do the repairs and then some for only $1300. The twelve year old car is running like new! Grateful we found this spot.

When I brought the vehicle back, I was informed that hardware was missing from the installation and that additional parts would need to be replaced. What disappointed me most was how the situation was handled. Instead of taking ownership or providing clear evidence of what had happened, I was told the issue was likely caused by another shop performing a re-torque, despite no documentation or proof being provided to support that claim. I requested photos, documentation, and an explanation of why certain components needed to be replaced. The biggest frustration was the warranty support. The installation was still within HKP's one-year workmanship warranty, yet I was told the repairs would not be covered. Rather than helping me work through the warranty process, I was left to handle everything myself. I contacted BDS directly, and their technical support questioned whether replacing the entire OEM track bar was even necessary. They requested photos and documentation from the shop to evaluate the situation. HKP did not work with BDS to facilitate the warranty process or help obtain the replacement parts. Instead, I had to personally communicate with BDS, gather the required information, and coordinate the warranty claim on my own. In the end, BDS honored their warranty and provided the replacement parts, which I greatly appreciate. When customers pay a professional shop to install aftermarket suspension components, they should expect support if something goes wrong, especially when the installation is still within the shop's workmanship warranty. Having to manage the manufacturer's warranty myself after experiencing a serious safety-related issue was both frustrating and disappointing. To HKP's credit, they did communicate with me during parts of the repair process. However, when it comes to suspension work and vehicle safety, I expected much better accountability and customer support. I ultimately paid to get my truck back on the road, but the overall experience left me disappointed. Based on my experience, I would recommend that anyone having suspension work done request detailed before-and-after photos, torque records, and written documentation of any repairs or recommendations. Hopefully HKP improves both its communication and warranty support so future customers don't have to go through the same experience.

I…read morewanted to get a second opinion so I hit up Yelp and set up an appointment at Michael's Collision Center. Right away, Mike greeted me warmly - and by name! - upon arrival. He got a quick overview of my accident and where I was in the insurance process, before assessing the damage. He thoroughly explained what repair would entail, the timeline to repair, and ran some quotes. My previous collision evaluator provided a similar repair quote, but Mike made everything much easier to grasp and comprehensively overviewed what each step would entail. Mike told me he operates the way he'd like to be treated, and that very much came through. He was extremely professional, approachable, and real, and talked to me like a human not a checkbook. He took the time to explain allll the nitty gritty and gave me all the data I needed to make an informed decision. I ultimately chose to let my car go (still sobbing!) but I felt empowered and comfortable to make that decision based on Mike's thorough assessment. Matt didn't try to sell anything that wasn't needed, and was honest about the vehicle coolant system not needing any repairs.
