The outside

I've been wanting to check out Radial Coffee for a while, they are located in Vernon, a bit of a blah town. So I finally took the half hour drive to check them out. They are located in what appears to be a little house. There's parking in the front for around four vehicles, on my way out I realized they have a substantial parking lot in the rear. The inside is super cute with hardwood floors, wooden furniture and comfy seating. It's not super spacious, but comfortable for a date or a solo adventure. At Radial they roast their own coffee beans. They had some pastries, but not many, probably because it was after 2:00 o'clock. For my coffee I got the Honey Maple Latte. The barista said I could take a seat, she would bring it to me. Well, it's a good thing she brought it over, because I would have spilled it. The presentation was lovely. It came in a navy ceramic cup with a saucer, with a design on top. This was one of the smoothest and creamiest coffees I've had in a while. From the texture of the latte its self, to the flavor, it is very smooth, in a way lux. The flavor was there but in a very organic way, nothing is too sugary. This was a very pleasant experience at Radial.

Can only speak for the cappuccino (and cozy shop), but we loved this coffee. We loved it so much, that we went to their other shop in Portland, ME twice more times. Definitely will be a regular stop on in our travels. (Lots of comfy merch, too, if you're looking.)

Have been to this coffee place fairly often, figured I would update my review. I enjoy the lattes from this location, and their coffee is always fresh. They got a big air frier, do they can warm up food on the fly. The food is good but not always the freshest. Warmed up though, it's solid. Staff is always friendly, the place is small but cozy, and the coffee is good. It's a great little local coffee shop and a go-to spot when I got to run around and do errands. Worth a try or a trek, it's a nice little coffee spot

A knowledgeable coffee friend recommended Radial. Radial is both a roaster and coffee shop. The morning I visited, they had baked goods from Small State Provisions. The inside is both functional and comfortable enough for meetings with friends. My black iced coffee made with a Guatemalan Single Origin light roast was in the Top 10% of iced coffees I've bought from shops in the past few years. It had a slight fruit flavor and was almost tea-like. I bought a bag of the same beans for home brewing. Small State is an outstanding CT Bakery with spots at GastroPark in West Hartford and in Avon. I'm at their GastroPark location almost weekly. A coffee shop selling baked goods from Small State is a win. For this visit, the chocolate croissant and bacon cheese croissant weren't quite as fresh as I'm used to from Small State itself, although I later learned that the owner of Small State was on vacation and both Small State locations were closed the day I visited Radial. In any event, slightly less fresh Small State would be better than the offerings at most other CT coffee shops. Based upon this visit, Radial is a top tier CT coffee shop for me. 4.5 Stars

#20 in my NEW ENGLAND & NY COFFEE SHOP SERIES A super cozy coffee shop that is great for studying, working, chatting, or grabbing a great drink to go. I got a hot, tiramisu pumpkin latte for my caffeine kick and study session. I stayed there for over 6 hours studying, and it was a fantastic spot! They have a large communal table, bar top, and comfy chairs. They also have outlets, parking and free wifi! If I lived closer, I would definitely go back and try more drinks. I definitely recommend if you want a good drink and good spot to get in the zone. They also have all your classic coffee shop items as well as some pastry items made in house. All of the syrups they use are made in house as well. Fun fact: on weekends, they have delicious sourdough cinnamon rolls!

What a nice little gem of a coffee spot. I love supporting local coffee shops. What I enjoyed about radial is the customer service. They were so kind and patient to help me decide on what kind of coffee I wanted. I asked for a latte but with 4 shots espresso. The barista informed me due to the size of the cup I won't get much coffee but a to go cup would be better. I appreciated that tip because I like a strong cup to start my day. They only carry whole milk and oat milk. They make their own syrups which is a plus. I had 2 pumps of vanilla and it was the right amount of sweetness. The coffee was smooth with no bitter after taste. It's on the pricier side for 2 cups of specialty coffees it was $15 but honestly so good. Treat yo self!

Despite having dog friendly listed on their Yelp page, they infact are not, unless your animal is a service animal. I had only stopped in because it was listed that he was welcome, otherwise I wouldn't have. Had made it just inside the door and had a quick interaction with another guest regarding my dog (she was asking his name and if she could say hi) and was told that unless he was a service animal, I needed to leave. I've had their coffee before and can say with certainty that it is really good, and the space is cozy/cute, I'm just a little sad about the confusion. Updating the Yelp page would be beneficial, so someone else doesn't make the same mistake!

Blueberry cobbler iced latte

I was excited to try a new coffee shop and read good things about Radial. Parking in front is tight but there is some more in back. The baristas were nice but low energy. They didn't ask any questions or offer anything even though it was clear it was my first time here. I tried the gluten friendly lemon poppyseed muffin. It was kind of hard and dry. It tasted good but the texture left alot to be desired. I wouldn't get it again. I also tried the latte special which was a blueberry cobbler latte. Housemade blueberry syrup and dried blueberry crumbles on top. It was really good and I'd definitely get it again. There is plenty of space to hang out and outlets to get work done, which i did. The music playing was a good volume and was pleasant. Overall I think it could have been a better experience but I enjoyed it enough that I'll be back to try again.

This place is a vibe. Love the ambiance and the baristas are so friendly / helpful. We told them it was our first time visiting and they were so thoughtful. When we said we were going to stay and sit they recommended getting to go cups because we would get more based on our coffee choices. They didn't have to do that but it was appreciated. I honestly wish this place was closer because the coffee was so good and we felt so comfortable hanging out there.

It's not easy to find too many specialty coffee shops nearby this area of CT. Radial Coffee sources locally with places like Oakridge and Small State Provisions and do their own homemade syrups and spices. Radial makes breakfast sandwiches and decadent biscotti in-house and will be looking to expand on specialty offerings / menus soon. The indoor atmosphere of Radial Coffee brings together a mix of dark and warm color palettes with elegant wood accents. Each piece of furniture was brought in with intention for design and adds to their cozy, warm setup. Their vanilla cardamom latte or their maple ginger latte are two top choices! If you're not sure which drink to try or what beans to take home, their baristas are well knowledgeable and will help with any brewing question you might have! Beyond just their espresso, they highlight their drip coffee, chai, and hot chocolate. Key Features: Parking and easy access of the main street. A large variety of different types of seating options. Milk alternatives, coffee beans and other products to purchase. A bright and inviting space to be at!

Teddy Graham latte (fall special)

Radial has become my new favorite coffee spot. They have the nicest staff who go above and beyond to make sure you feel welcome and enjoy your visit. They usually play good music and have a lot of seating for catch-ups with friends, studying, reading, etc. I ordered the teddy graham latte this weekend and it came with the cutest latte art!

This place is fantastic! The coffee and pastries are great, along with a very comfortable and gorgeous environment. The best part of this place is the owners though, they are so kind and friendly, and remember regulars quickly! Vernon is lucky to have them!

One of the best lattes I've had in a long time! I had their seasonal maple ginger latte and it was perfect. My friend ordered the sourdough cinnamon roll- she loved it. It's very cozy and a nice place to catch up with a friend.

Great local spot for a coffee or a bite to eat! Friendly staff. Wish there was more seating. That's the only downside.

Kloter's Ice Cream Barn is located in the Kloter Farms complex. Parking this time of year, mid-week…read morewas ok. I believe weekends (or even hot weekdays) in the summer would be a nightmare for parking. Order and pay at one window. Pick up at the next. Interesting flavors for hard ice cream. I ordered two scoops, one each of Caramel Apple Crumb and Beez Neez. The cost was $7.51 (plus optional tip). I thought both flavors were deliciously decadent, especially the CAC. This time of year, yellow jackets are out in force, and they dive-bombed my ice cream. I think they were p o'ed that I was eating their cousins (Beez Neez), maybe? In any event, great ice cream that is not made on -site, and a bit pricey, but worth a splurge every once in a while. And a comfortable seating area, w numerous tables, Adirondack chairs and benches. 4.5 stars

I overheard the owner an older woman speak to the young kids who work there in a very awful way…read more She said "are you stupid or just slow" so loudly that the entire line could hear. The people who run this place are supposedly religious people, but clearly their nice persona around town isn't all that nice, especially to their employees. The ice cream is way over priced. They rip off the public. It's pathetic to speak to minors in that way as a boss! I feel bad for the teens working in that environment.
