    Strawberry croissant!!

Great items in a beautiful bakery- in a league of their own... but the strawberry croissant was decadent!! One of the best things I ate all vacation!! I am so glad we waited in the line... so very worth it!!

This will always be a favorite stop for me! Sure the pastries and baked goods are what most people go there for and you should too but I stop by to have a croissant, talk with Madame Berube, La Brioche's owner, and share stories over a cup coffee. She makes a wide array of French breads, pastries and specialty items available only around each holiday. If there is something you like and don't see let her know and the following day it will be ready for pick up. Madame is a very engaging personality with wonderful stories of growing up on a farm in France and about her beloved town of Metz in the Lorraine region of France. So, I encourage you to stop by for coffee and a delicious pastry, so you too might discover the real charm of this little French bakery.

Right across from Town Hall, La Brioche, a former Stafford favorite, shares its artisan tarts, cakes, and croissants with locals at its new home in downtown Rockville. There is a lot of foot traffic here between the town hall and the courthouse. Don't judge La Brioche French Bakery by its humble decor, Colette and her family serve up delicious baked goods to make up for their homely appearance. She has been baking for decades and sells home-made French breads and pastries. The range of crusty breads: baguettes, multi-grains, pumpernickels, and sourdoughs; are all relatively cheap ($2 to $4). What she does, quite simply, is make wonderfully baked goods. The brioche, fluffy and flaky- is very good. Outside of the cookies, all of La Brioche's puff pastries: palmiers, danishes, cheese stars, raspberry/strawberry/apricot-filled, are made in-house. Colette's specialty though, and arguably my favorites, are her eclairs. Vanilla or chocolate, they are only $2 a piece and are without a doubt, melt-in-your-mouth! The delectable spread of breads and pastries most clearly reflects Colette's passion for baking. Though there are only 2 small tables, complimentary coffee accompanies all orders and is a small reminder of Colette's love of people. 8am to 5pm; Sunday, 8am to 1pm. Cash only. Special orders for breads, cakes and pastries are welcomed.

The best almond croissant and baguette I've ever had. The husband and wife owners made me feel like I was in downtown Paris not Rockville.

I love an Italian bakery! This is a family owned and authentic Italian bakery. They have…read moretraditional cookies, breads, cakes, pastries, and more. I found this spot via another app that offers discounts on end of day items. I had slices of cake which were good. I purchased a few more items full priced. The cannolis were to die for; they fill it right before they hand it to you. The service was good and plenty of parking in a plaza. I would be there often if I lived closer!

"You need bread, try the bakery You need lovin', look here,…read morebaby I got just what you need" (The Doors) Well, whatever your needs might be, you'll probably take care of it at Giuseppina's Italian Bakery, because they really do have it all. Their website, counters, shelves, and showcases offer you temptations everywhere you look. Want a pastry? What kind of a question is that....sure you do, so how on Earth are you going to choose between these? Cannoli, Tiramisu, 3 kinds of mousse, eclairs, frosted or plain brownies (are you bold enough to get a brownie with peanut butter buttercream frosting?), cream horns, rum rolls, an amazing peach concoction of sweet dough soaked with peach juice and rum and filled with vanilla pudding (!), Sfogliatelle, Zeppol, cream puffs, NY style cheesecake, fruit slices (peaches and strawberries with whipped cream layers and frosting), pasticiotti, cappuccino slices, Amaretto Squares, Limoncello Cake Slices and Chocolate Brownie Cake Slices. And there's more - miniature pastries, Cheese danish, apple, raspberry and blueberry turnovers, Cranberry Orange scones, blueberry scones, chive scones, and roasted red pepper scones, lemon and cherry squares. Get the picture? And I haven't mentioned their Italian cookies, 25 cake varieties, cupcakes, cake pops, pizza slices, sandwiches and stuffed breads. The truth is, this place is fantastic and is clearly in the top ten percent of Italian bakeries we've visited. We picked up an assortment of cake slices, a croissant, a scone, and a donut yesterday. They all looked amazing! We started off splitting that donut, and it was great -very light, not too sweet and just plain delicious. Shout out to the young lady who waited on us, she was pleasant and friendly, and our interaction was a far contrast to some of the less than favorable interactions reported by other Yelpers. PRO TIP 1) Don't worry about parking- they're in a shopping center with plenty of parking. 2) How good does their fig, prosciutto and Asiago cheese stuffed bread sound?

I personally am not a major fan of filled cupcakes, but sometimes I do appreciate a pudding filled pure decadence cupcake. The crumb is tender, the frosting is plentiful, and the price is reasonable. Sometimes the selection can be a bit limited, but it's still a very solid bakery for the area. One of the better places in the area for a sweet treat.

This was the second cake the Carlitos bakery made for the shower because I DROPPED THE FIRST ONE! I picked the first cake and within 15 minutes a dropped it getting out the car. I called Carlitos immediately! Not only did the owner graciously made another, but most importantly, the cake was for an event the very next day! The miracle and patience this woman had was commendable. Needless the day the service is 10/10! The food: JESUS! I've used Carlitos before the bridal shower. She made a cake for my sisters birthday and some pastries for a friend's event. The mini cheese cake sups are delectable! Mouth watering and the perfect portion. The quesitos are rich and fluffy. The atmosphere: Inviting. It feels like friendship. Like a home. Almost like Sunday mornings at your aunts house or grandmas. The place is clean and warm. The display cases are full and very tempting! Pricing: BEYOND fair. When I dropped the cake she charged me less than the first one. Please stop by and give the wonder small business some love!

Quality is still good, price and portion are askew…read more We came here as a quick sandwich bite on our way around the state. Service was good, and the ambiance is still lively. The still tastes good, with some exceptions. The frier oil seemed burnt, so the pickle chips we had just had that little bit of carbon taste on them. The pickle chips batter was very thick, and the mayo was the only respite. The sandwich, still tasty, seemed much smaller than normal, the meat still had good flavor, but the portion was lighter in comparison. The prices are also a bit high. The sandwich coming out to about 15 bucks. The bargain is very much gone now, and the portion is okay for a sandwich but pricy because of this shrinkage. Not shown are the overcooked onion rings. We returned those and the server promptly removed them from the bill. So really good customer service. I opted for a brownie for dessert, and the brownie was a disappointment. Too sugary, no flavor, gummy, and disappointingly small and thin. A detractor for sure. As a deli, it feels like it's on the decline. I know things are pricier now, but what you pay vs what you get doesn't match up. I'm hoping they pivot from this path, but right now it's no longer my go-to. It's still tasty, just pricy
