There is no escaping the charismatic employee at the check-in desk only a few feet from the entry doors. While the employee was explaining the membership payment options, I noticed only a handful of members working out in the modestly sized gym with an excellent selection of Cybex machines, which is a dominate brand with fitness gurus. Based on the few pieces of equipment, I would be able to make due for a one hour workout, but was shocked by the high priced $25.00 day pass. An option would be $99.00 per month if a yearly membership is secured. I guess no gym workout for me today and will have to accept 15k steps today while window shopping instead.

Service at the cafe is very attentive and the staff are good at noticing when your drink is getting low and seeing if you want another one, as well as clearing away used cups to keep the area clean. I was really impressed that the happy hour for guests is not significantly "nerfed" down, with plenty of options available in every category of wine, beer, and mixed drinks so there is sure to be something you'll enjoy that is included. I'll start with the positives and then get to the negatives and rank them in order. Positives: 1. The palm trees and lush vegetation. 2. The decorations for pride and their 50th anniversary. 3. The food is still reasonably good, although the prime rib came out cold. 4. The rooms have been generally remodeled to be more modern. Negatives: 1. The room is cool in the morning, warms up by late afternoon, is hot by 9 PM, and doesn't start to cool back off until 2:30 AM. 2. The bar staff plays Spanish music only all day until you ask the front desk to have it switched to English to which the bar staff takes offense. 3. The bar staff is more interested in watching the FIFA soccer tournament than actually waiting on any guests. 4. The further you went back into the room away from the front door the weaker the Wi-Fi signal got until there was no signal. 5. The soap dispenser leaked onto the towels hanging on the towel bar below it. Instead of having it fixed, the towels were put on the floor. 6. The gang shower between the gym, indoor Jacuzzi, and steam room area smells like sewage. 7. The sitting area above the stairway and at the end of the hall next to room 210 is covered in and reeks of pigeon feces. See attached pic. Although the front desk and management are responsive, it used to be that these things were taken care of without guests needing to point them out or request they be fixed. Not sure if it's due to staff turnover and/or management turnover but hopefully this review will be taken seriously and help future guests as we will not be coming back anytime soon. My overall rating is a 1 because the negatives far outweigh the positives in importance for the price you pay. And when prices are raised, you would expect the service level would raise as well or at least stay the same, which, in this case has not. Please remember that you're in the HOSPITALITY SERVICE industry. This is basically lipstick on a pig.

During the session, the therapist made contact with the side of my breast more than once while stretching my arm. It did not feel controlled or professionally handled, and it made me very uncomfortable. I had to turn fully onto my side to prevent further contact, after which it finally stopped. Overall, the session lacked proper technique, body awareness, and professional boundaries. I did not feel at ease during the massage and couldn't wait for it to end. I was considering asking him to stop and leaving, and now I really wish I had. Clients should be able to trust that they are in safe, skilled hands, and that was not my experience. I hope the business takes this seriously and addresses training and client safety. If this therapist is new, he should not be working unsupervised with clients until properly trained. This review reflects my experience with one therapist only and is not a reflection of the entire business. The reception staff were professional and welcoming, which I appreciated.

So new that I was her second customer EVER. That explained a lot. So, I called and asked if I could have them redone - they wanted me to come back and see the same tech. I thought about it and declined and they refunded me half.... Well, that night my nails started to chip - and - I had paid nearly (with tip) $200 for this...not even close to what I usually pay but I wanted to treat myself to an experience...well, I got one, but not the one I wanted. So, the next day - more chipping, I called back and requested a full refund. They reluctantly gave it to me with a bit of push-back. Sigh. Not the type of service I would expect from a Spa. Next time, I know better - go to my own salon at home prior to a vacation.

BUT was not clean to our standards TV in the bathroom did not work. Tv remote controls were dirty The ceiling fans had so much dust you could see they have not been cleaned in months. When we pulled our blankets back on the bed are sheets had little yellow stains on them wonder what that was. The room has a great setup with a king bed in the bedroom with pocket doors to separate it from the rest of the suite. There is a combination full kitchen, dining area, and living area. This room was so comfortable. They think of everything for make this home away from home. The room is stocked with salt/pepper, silverware, glassware, coffee cups, cooking supplies and utensils. I would enjoy making my coffee in the Keurig and setting either on the porch or by the coy pond with the water feature. I don't remember. The las time I was this relaxed. Since they supplied wine glasses so could enjoy wine on the porch or by the coy pond. And the housekeeping, Abigail, was a true delight. The Cigar House is in the middle of the complex so you are not distributed but road noise. I cannot wait to come back. I already booked next year!
