Excellent waxing salon. I have been waxing for 15 years, mostly do it myself but go to salons when I am short of time. Most salons that offer waxing do it as a sidebar after hair and nails or facials and you can tell: they have to find someone to do my wax when I come in and that person is less than enthused. It always shows because I could have done it better myself... Well, the Lunchbox specializes in waxing, it is their passion and all the little details are there: professionalism, comfortable, well lit, well set up space, thorough, fast and lots of ideas for follow up care to make sure your skin does well afterward. I worked with Trinity at the University salon, and she was excellent. Friendly, respectful, and it was clear she knew what she was doing and cared about doing a great job. Highly recommend, will go back, probably more than i have in the past because it was so fast and easy and my legs look and feel great. I've been going to Lunchbox Wax in Sarasota since relocating to the area 3 years ago, but I almost stopped going because just as I built a rapport with an esthetician they'd leave. I decided to give this location one more try and I am happy that I did because Alicia is the absolute best! She is always willing to accommodate requests with the utmost professionalism and courtesy and she's fast! Waxing in general is not "quick and painless," but Alicia definitely does what she can to minimize any discomfort even if it's through keeping you distracted through conversation! Her warmth and bedside manner make you feel as if you're catching up with an old friend. Waxing can be such an intimate procedure, but the staff at Lunchbox Wax respects discretion always treats their clients with dignity. There are plenty of places you can go for your waxing needs in the Tampa Bay Area, but I personally drive 45 minutes every 4 weeks to go to this location specifically, because of the service I receive here. I have gone to so many different waxing places in the past and while they weren't terrible, it wasn't what I wanted. I saw LunchboxWax on here and saw the reviews and decided to try it..and I'm SO glad I did. Cierra (I hope I spelled that right!) was so thorough and listened to what I wanted my goal to be. She made it happen. I will say that, at first, I was hesitant to spend $38 on the 'Eyebrow Makeover' and I went in there blindly. This was my first time ever getting waxed and my friend suggested this place for a bikini wax. I walked in and was greeted warmly and professionally. Allison was my esthetician and she was wonderful. Had to reschedule my appointment due to a death in the family and the second time was running late and the lady told me that she would have to charge me an extra fee for rescheduling. Are you serious? No thanks. New place I go to now is much better and I can reschedule as many times as i want, its a waxing salon not the doctors office. read more

I have been here several times with Gabrielle and love her! Very talkative and sweet and kept me distracted from the discomfort. She was very thorough and made sure I was doing ok. The staff was pleasant but I admired how fast and professional it was. The wax is rather sticky but when pulled off it's not as painful, which having a professional beautician also made a difference when it came to that. I was in and out in 15 minutes and the price was right! read more
