Such a hidden gem. Had no clue they had a patio. Hubby and I shared the brisket Sandwich and it was super yum!

With the weather being so nice, I was recently looking for an inviting patio to grab a drink with a friend and came upon Radio Bar. There is a small parking lot out front and some additional parking behind the backyard patio. The patio at Radio Bar is gorgeous. It feels like you're in your bestie's backyard except with exceptional cocktails and an array of food options. During my visit, I tried Fair Play, a vodka-based cocktail with season shrub, and the Garden Margarita. Both were excellent, well balanced, and affordable. Most of the cocktails are between $11 to $13. There are some appetizers that are perfect for sharing along with more substantial meals. One of my favorite things about Radio Bar is that they are dog friendly. So, bring your well-behaved pups to enjoy the summer sunshine on the patio with you too. During my visit there were three cute dogs enjoying the afternoon with their humans. There is a gate on the side of the building and one at the back of the lot where you can bring you pup into the yard without having to go through the bar. I also noticed that servers provided the dogs with water bowls.

Everything is good and cool here! The managers super nice and bartenders are excellent. The location is perfect for me and the back patio is a gym! Such a great place to hang out in the afternoon and have a drink on the patio. The food menu is not the huge, but perfect for this bar.

Okay, I went back to Radio bar and finally got to try out the patio. Wow! The back yard/patio is the bomb. Shady, with twinkle lights, fire pits, under tree seating and corn hole. The drinks, were again fun twists on old standbys...a spicy pineapple margarita and the Mary Lou, which is a creative turn on a Sophia Loren. Their soft pretzel game is strong and it's a nice snack to share while soaking in the vibe on the patio.

Mmm tastes like summer. Fair Play cocktail with seasonal (Guava!!) shrub.

Delicious cocktails! We tried the jalapeño pineapple cocktail and the Fair Play with seasonal Guava shrub and they were both delicious. We ordered a second round for sure. We also ate the burrata app that came out as a generous portion of soft cheese and fresh, juicy tomatoes. The back patio was a great place to catch up with friends or bring your family with some space for kids to run around. Very friendly staff that gave us space but also stopped to chat and get to know us. Will definitely be back!

Great menu, we ordered the spinach and artichoke dip with pita bread, and I will be ordering it again!

Friendly staff each time I have visited (4th time) with great service. Drinks have been concistently great, I love the Pain Killer and a fresh pressed Greyhound with Titos. It was my husband's first time and he loved the beer selection! I highly recommend the Radio Bar!

The meatballs! Yes I'm on their amazing patio!

You could easily (and maybe have...) walk past it and not even know. I found my way in and was faced with a dark room and a wonderfully lit display of liquors. They infuse many of their own and offer flights of infused whiskeys. The drink menu has options that feature many different spirits. I chose a gin and citrus drink that was a wonderful blend of bitter and refreshing. I made myself sip it slowly, but it was tasty enough that I could have thrown it back. The bar tender was friendly and attentive, as well as knowledgeable. The room seemed to be recovering from the recent Hoopfest...there were coolers and some things in the back of the space. There were also a LOT of bottles on the counter behind the bar. I don't know if it is always like this, but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would definitely go back for the drink and to show it off to friends.

I liked how even though the place was small, the mixologist wasn't in our face and he paid attention to what he was doing, taking care with our orders. They have a nicely stocked bar with more options across the board than I would expect. But the reason this gem shines is because of their creative and delicious drink menu. I highly recommend trying it, especially if you enjoy trying drinks you can't get anywhere else that are made with quality ingredients and perfectly mixed flavors. Even if you aren't an adventurous drinker, I think you'll find something that will appeal (although I'm sure they can make a delicious version of your favorite drink). I write this because I'm super basic about the cocktails I like and rarely venture out of my comfort zone, until something sounds good. I don't like brandy, never heard of peacorn (peach and corn) syrup, but the Peacorn Sour called to me, and it was soooo worth it. I also tasted S's cocktail, though I've forgotten the name, and it had bourbon, which I don't like on its own at all, and I thought it was good. Not drink an entire one on my own good, but if I liked bourbon, this would be fantastic! good. (S confirmed the quality.) We'll be going back, and I'll look forward to whatever new delights they have to offer.

But that was all that was great. It seems that everything is cooked on the highest temperature. We got hushpuppies and whipped honey cornbread for appetizers. The hushpuppies were dense and while they lack flavor - I did enjoy the sauce that came on the side. It was spicy and had a nice flavor. Although it was obvious they do fry the hush puppies and fish in the same oil. The honey corn bread was burned and tasted of burnt oil. It was oily and had a strange taste and was overwhelmingly sweet. (You'll find that burnt is a common theme.) My Cajun burger was good but the buns were burned. The meat was juicy and had a nice flavour. The fries were seasoned well and were crispy while being soft on the inside. The pork ribs were decent. The sauce was nice. They weren't fall of the bone tender, but still tender enough. The coleslaw on the side was very sour and spicy. It was more like spicy sauerkraut rather than coleslaw. The seafood boil was underwhelming small especially for the price. The shrimp were overcooked. The clams were very small. The muscles still had beards. The potatoes and corn were cooked nicely. It needed more salt and sauce. The sweet teas came unsweetened and while it did came with sugar on the side - the grains were too big to actually stir in. And I would like the mentioned that my cup of water had black specks floating around in it. All in all - I wouldn't return.

I noticed several tables getting the chicken Cobb salad, and that thing is massive. Which was a bummer, but not a big deal. We ended up sitting at the bar when the service was super slow. Luckily we weren't in a hurry. I ordered a margarita and my friend a blackberry Collin's. Bartender accidentally swapped our drinks. We got it figured out after we both tasted them and thought something was off. We started with the beet hummus. That was probably the best thing we ordered, but even that wasn't great. The hummus was lacking flavor. I ordered the sweet and spicy pork belly sandwich for my entree and it was... gross. The pork belly strips that were in it were basically really thick slices of bacon, not crispy at all, and SO SO FATTY. It was, awful. I was really disappointed. Fries were good though. The bartender asked if there was something wrong with the sandwich because I didn't want a box and only one bite. I told her I really just didn't like it. She took it off the bill without hesitation. Which was very kind and also makes me wonder if I'm not the first one to be disappointed in this sandwich. My friend got the lemon herb grilled chicken sandwich and she said it was "alright". It was a nice time out with a friend, but I probably won't go back. I will definitely go to Cascadia, their other restaurant though. That menu is amazing and never disappoints.
