Bride here, got married at Nestldown, Los Gatos. Radio Gatsby Band was absolutely amazing at our wedding! Noam (band manager) was very reliable, organized and communicative. I did not worry one bit about anything. From the moment they started playing, they set the perfect vibe for our celebration. Their energy, talent, and ability to read the room made the night unforgettable. We had guests of all ages (from 2 to 82 yo), and they managed to get everyone on the dance floor. The band's professionalism and attention to detail were top-notch, and they truly made our wedding feel like something out of a dream. We couldn't have asked for a better group to bring our celebration to life. If you're looking for a band that will blow your guests away, Radio Gatsby is the way to go! Apologies to Radio Gatsby for the (very) late review. :)

They encouraged me to sing. They were so welcoming and helped me come over my stage fright.

From day one when I sent a message about a quote, I had good vibes. Noam the pianist and vocalist called me to get more details to make sure they could accommodate all of my needs for my party. Hands down the best about my party was having radio Gatsby play live. All of my guests can't say enough good things about this band. They were all very professional all of the vocalists were amazing. They really liven up the party. Everyone was dancing. They even got me out of my shell and I sang two songs with them. They are all genuine great people. If you are on the fence about spending too much, just do it. It's so worth it. You won't regret it. It will be great memories for a lifetime.

People cannot stop talking about how great my wedding was and it is because of the band! We have had the song "I wanna dance with somebody" stuck in our heads for the past 4 days because guests are still posting videos of everyone dancing to us. Hands down the best purchase I made for the wedding. They were attentive and played mp3s that we provided of our cultural music during the breaks as well.

I've known Noam for years and he never ceases to amaze me with his musical talent and zest for life. I've experienced his music in a variety of diverse settings, from small intimate private gatherings and anniversary parties to weddings and corporate events. Over the years, I have seen him gather incredible talent in curating a band and Radio Gatsby is once again, a hit. Instruments abound from sax and guitar to vocals and piano, the energy and passion that the band brings with them to a venue is contagious . Even if you're not someone who dances regularly, you'll find yourself being moved to beyond toe tapping once they get started & you'll be called to the dance floor with their fun upbeat vibe. Their range is also diverse -- hang onto your seat and get ready for an incredible afternoon or evening with Radio Gatsby in the room. Two thumbs up! Not to be missed.

We had a great time listening to some great music from June Cavlan and band. The main seating area…read moreis on the lower area and is a nice traditional jazz bar setup with a good amount of seating and dimly lit ambience. The stage is small but enough for a small combo band with full size piano and good sound system. This was a bit of a learning experience for us as we discovered that there was a minimum food order of $30 per person in addition to the $50 we prepaid per person for the cover charge. We ordered a Double Smashburger with fries, additional side of parmeson fries, dinner salad, glass of wine, and mineral water. The hamburger, fries, and parmeson fries were delicious. The salad and dressing was good. The waiter was kind enough to let us know that there was a $90 minimum for our table of 3 that had not yet met. We decided to order 2 desserts. The Chocolate Ganache dessert was fantastic. The second dessert we ordered was a Guava Flan. There only a handful of dishes that I have ever eaten that have made it to my list of #1 worst dishes I have ever had. I was the last to try the Guava Flan and my party was eagerly waiting to see my reaction since they had already tasted it. The Guava Flan was unfortunately horrendous and not edible. I am not sure if it had gone bad or if the one who made it had issues with their taste buds or what...but it was absolutely the #1 worst tasting dessert I have ever had the displeasure of having. Aside from that, we had a great time. We will keep in mind the additional table minimums should we return to this establishment.

TLDR: Great venue, poor value and even worse service…read more The venue itself is very cool and the performances were lovely. And that's all the positives. The RUDE staff and the HIGH HIDDEN CHARGES ruined the experience for me. We had to pay for the ticket AND a minimum spend AND a fixed 22% service charge AND tax. The bill came out to be $100+ per person for a one hour jazz with light bites. The food was unfortunately not good as well, it was overpriced and the quality seemed store bought. The attitude of the staff was a big disappointment. We had some leftover food from lunch which we understood might not be allowed inside. Instead of simply telling us in one sentence "you can't bring your food in", the rude staff / manager gave us the dirtiest look, rolled his eyes, and kept on making dismissive gestures at us as we were seated. The unacceptable service doesn't deserve the 22% service charge. Because of all this, I unfortunately won't be going back.

There's not a bad seat in the whole house. I actually love sitting in the back row of the balcony and that's where I purchased my seats, but when I got there, they had changed my seats to an area somewhat closer to the stage. The seat was still amazing with a great view of the stage, but I missed my back row! I think it was meant as an upgrade, so all I can do is appreciate it. I will definitely return for more performances.

If someone doesn't enjoy working with people or providing good customer service, the front desk is probably not the right place for them. Unfortunately, our interaction with her was extremely unpleasant. She ( black womsn wearing scarf and beanie) was rude in her tone, her demeanor, and in the way she communicated not only to me, but also to my elderly aunt. It was honestly disappointing. What made it stand out even more is that we later met another staff member who was passing out buttons for the kids' show. He was warm, welcoming, and excited to talk about membership and ways to support SFJAZZ. That is the kind of experience that makes you proud to support a San Francisco institution. I'm a local and I genuinely want to support organizations like this, but interactions like the one we had at will call make you second-guess whether you want to give your time and money. And if two of us walked away feeling this way, I'm sure we're not the only ones. Again, the performance and the rest of the experience were great this feedback is only about that one staff interaction. I hope management speaks with her, because the front desk sets the tone for the entire visit, and SFJAZZ deserves to be represented with the same warmth and professionalism that the rest of the team showed.

It's within walking distance to J-town which is really nice in terms of getting food before a show…read more(most things are not late night in SF, so this is the play since after a show, most things will already be closed) and it is possible to find free parking if you have eyes that search and see. My boyfriend and I came here to see TK from Ling Tosite Sigure (real anime heads know - Tokyo Ghoul, Psycho Pass, etc. or if you're a fan of math rock). We got the GA tickets and waited in the line for the venue around 40 minutes before the show. We were still in the first 100 or so people in, we were in the line when it curved the corner near the other shopping plaza near the bus stop, so it wasn't too fisted when we went. This was absolutely not the case for the LA show, so the vibes in NorCal versus SoCal are completely different. Staff was welcoming (as best they could) and efficient in checking us in and security was friendly in what they had to do. Much better than some of the other venues I've been to. You have to go upstairs to get to the live house concert stage area. It looks very high end with the lighting, curtains, balcony area, and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. It's not as grandiose as say the Mayan (RIP), but nice nonetheless. We were probably 3-4 layers of people from the front, but was able to see all of the band members quite well and I was accidentally in the band's Instagram post (with my very funny and cooked back posture). Sound quality was great and really highlighted not only TK's vocals, but the technicality and skill he has on guitar (dude had to swap guitars between each song), as well as all of the support members (their support drummer from Crossfaith has such good stage presence). Nothing sounded too drowned out or overpowering. Good acoustics. The merch table was at the side and I didn't pay too much mind to where the bar was. When walking up stairs I was wondering where to go and loudly asked that question and a kind staff working the coat check in the opposite direction pointed to where to go. I think my only qualm though is the stairs that everyone has to take up, and more importantly down since it gets super crowded. However, they do have an accessible elevator for those who may require it or are ADA. What I love about this venue is the apples they give attendees. Great post concert snack. Sweet and crispy apple. I really love that they do this. And apparently this was the only tour stop that had a free poster with the artist playing too. Love that extra goodie for concert goers since I didn't purchase any merchandise. If there's a band or musician that I know is going to go to the Fillmore, I'm going to try to make the show since I really enjoyed it here!

1 Star - Awful Manager and Staff Experience…read more We attended the Alex Isley concert at The Fillmore and brought our 8-year-old daughter. It was her very first concert, and she absolutely loves Alex Isley. The venue was standing room only, but we found a small corner near the front where we weren't blocking anyone's view. Early in the evening, one female staff member seemed to have an issue with us, although every other staff member we encountered was friendly and accommodating. At one point, I asked a staff member if it would be okay to put my daughter on my shoulders so she could see the stage. He told me it was absolutely fine, and several other staff members nearby clearly had no issue with it. Later, the same female employee returned and began harassing my wife about our daughter being on my shoulders or standing on a bench that was not obstructing anyone's view. She made a scene unnecessarily and then escalated the situation to a manager. The manager arrived and was just as rude. Although I complied immediately because I didn't want to create a scene in front of my daughter, we felt singled out and bullied throughout the interaction. Ironically, other concertgoers immediately tried to help by offering our daughter space in front of them so she could see the performance. Even more telling, a member of Alex Isley's security team witnessed what happened, approached us afterward, and kindly arranged for my wife, daughter, and me to meet Alex after the show. That completely made our daughter's night and turned what could have been a very disappointing experience into a special memory. The kindness shown by Alex Isley's team and fellow concertgoers stood in stark contrast to the behavior of The Fillmore's manager and this particular staff member. Because of this experience, I will not return to The Fillmore and cannot recommend the venue to others. 1/5 stars.
