My mother and mother in law have been coming here and this is still a problem. Having moved here recently from up north, this seems to be a south Texas phenomenon as I've had to do this at the pain clinic as well. Never have we had to do this in Illinois. We get the approval from insurance, they do the procedure, we then pay at that time. Then, I get scheduled at the Portland office and, just an hour and a half before the appt. they call and cancel because they are still waiting on something from my insurance co. They then schedule me a couple of weeks out at the Corpus office which is far more inconvenient. I'm hoping to find another imaging provider in the meantime. I understand needing to earn their living but this is insane and very, very telling into what their priorities are.

Call center does not resolve problems that they created nor was there record of who was supposed to straighten out their scheduling error despite the fact that all calls are recorded. In fact, the unknown person who was supposed to resolve the issue and CALL ME BACK went to the recording of my original phone call with an agent and indeed confirmed that the call center changed the location of my appointment without notifying me. Then they told me I could not get me into the original location. This forces me to possibly reschedule the doctor's appt. who is treating the problem and delaying care. My frustration with Radiology Associates is compounded by the fact that they misdiagnosed me several months ago claiming nothing was wrong when in fact, I had a broken pelvis.

I'm praying I do not get covid after having to get an MRI here yesterday. The patients during MRIs…read moredo not wear masks and they do not even allow for 5 min between tests-this virus is known to be airborne 3 hours. They should provide each patient an mri safe facemask and make it mandatory during the tests! Patients are being put into a tube for 30 minutes where someone else was just laying minutes without a mask. They also make you take your mask off and put it in the basket that everyone puts their locker keys into but I watched and they did not clean this basket between patients. It actually took less than 2 minutes for them to "thoroughly clean" (as I was told would happen) between patients. If that patient before me had covid, unknowingly, then I'm sure I will get it and I'm very high risk. I'm reporting my experience to the health department.

But this place is wanting me to pay 378.00 out of pocket before they even see me. I had told them I don't have that type of money right now but no there were not hearing that all they care about is money money money. they just want to reschedule me and like I told there i still will not have that type of money I am not working I am not getting a pay check from work.
