I have read a bunch of the negative reviews here. People need to realize contractor services like this one needs constant and clear communication. These guys came in one time and gave my wife an estimate on the pool installation. She said right from the beginning she did not like the communication as it felt rushed or somewhat dismissive. I ended up calling them back and getting the estimate again and I gave a deposit immediately. Work was started the next day and my old pool frame was removed and they installed a bigger pool in about 3 days total. They came in, dug out all of the extra dirt needed because the new pool was a few feet bigger on each side. worked every day and completed the work asap. i watched them level the ground, lay down paver stones for every single post of the pool for extra support, laid the liner down and sand inside and made sure it was nice and smooth and level as well. End results is a bigger pool dug 2 feet into the ground with all the support needed and a level pool working perfectly. I went through a few estimates that were about 500-900 more expensive and with availability over 3 weeks away. This pool service was spot on with their experience. This is my third summer using this company. The service gets worse and worse each year. Rafael is very responsive in texts and says he will come ASAP to finish and never shows up. This year, he said my pool opening will take two days. It's been over a week. They came twice...took off the pool cover, loaded the pool with a ton of chemicals and said to keep my filter running the whole time and they were supposed to vacuum the pool. Today he said he was done. Well, it's been over a week.... my pool looks like a bubble bath due to all the chemicals and, from the few places between the bubbles that I can see the pool bottom, it's filthy, so it doesn't look like anything was vacuumed. Rafael is unprofessional and a fraud. He was supposed to put in a 6 foot in depth pool. Instead he did 5.5 feet. He claimed he would fix it. Said it was no big deal to dig it out. He then proceeded to avoid me for over 2 years. Said he was on vacation or that I should wait for the season to be over. This year I was firm and stated that I wanted the mistake corrected and now avoids me and will not respond to my requests. He literally, told me "not to text him" because he didn't want anything in writing. While they were doing the job, they dented my fence and broke my deck. Now that the pool is complete, the electric does not work properly and shuts off for no reason and my brand new Hayward salt meter does not read the salt properly. It keeps saying 400 and I have to keep resetting it, yet the light keeps blinking. Additionally, there was a valve that could have been installed to eliminate the need to wet vac (remove the water) for each spout when closing the pool - but he did not install this and so closing the pool is time consuming and this was not necessary. He installed my pool in 3 days, reconfigured the size, ordered me a new liner, and got all the pool equipment I needed to get my pool up and running. Rafael installed my inground pool last year and I could not be more happy. My pool was completed in a week, he does everything by code and the pool looks beautiful! Any questions I had, I got quick responses and answers. He even came back for my in the middle of the winter to install my pool cover after the pavers were installed. I now use Rafael for my pool service and maintenance and every Friday like clockwork, they're there. Best part is he has a guy for everything! Never shows up to finish his shotty work. Called and texted 10x. Will be filing a complaint with the BBB. He lies about showing up. He lies about the amount of time , he tries to change prices he quoted. You don't need this headache, just go with a reputable pool company. Saves you time and money in the long run. read more

I called this service and set up an appt. The guy never showed up. He was called the next day and said he would be there that day. Once again, he was a no show. I can only assume that if he can't even show up for an appt, then his pool services must leave something to be desired as well. Two thumbs down for customer service. read more

What horrible service, I called for their services to have my pool cleaned once a week for the entire summer, which I had paid in FULL. The girl said they will be there on Thursday. They came but at night time at 7 p.m., they cleaned half of the pool and tell us they would be back tomorrow to finish the job. No one shows up, but he comes back the following week at same time 7 p.m. which 2 guys had no idea what the hell they were doing. They were suppose to do a back wash, instead they start to drain the water from the pool, then start cleaning the walls of the pool. I think you're supposed to clean the side walls first, then drain the dirty water out, then add fresh clean water after you finish cleaning. We saw this and stopped them before they drained out all the water out of the pool, and we asked the guy what the hell are you doing? The guy starts apologizing saying i'm sorry, but I really don't know what I am doing, I'm new to this, and the boss just put me on the job and left me with no training. I called the office to complain, and the secretary tells me that the boss is not in, hes on vacation. Like seriously WHAT?!! are you serious? I said I am not happy with the services my pool water is now turned green, my kids can't go in the pool, how are we supposed to enjoy it? I asked for a refund, the secretary told me she could not help me until Rafael gets back. So I asked the secretary can you please have Rafael call me, going back and forth 2 weeks, still have not gotten a call back from Rafael to apologize or to even correct the mistakes that his men did. So I am supposed to wait until Rafael gets back, and I am left with a half a** job, green pool. Unbelievable, I don't understand how the owner can go on vacation, during your own season to make money, and not even leave someone there to help your customer, absolutely horrible experience, I urge anyone and everyone not to use this company. read more

Do not use this pool company. Every year Raphael opened and serviced our pool. This year he sent his son and we had nothing but problems we couldn't use our chlorine dispenser because Raphael tightened it so much no one could get it open.He told me a 78 year old woman to use some muscle.Imagine. When I called their office they told me he would be at my house tomorrow but not what tomorrow. Maybe Christmas. Or he would call me in an hour I am still waiting. The workers at Raphael's Pool Service are fantasic. They worked so hard through 90 degree plus weather and did an excellent job. They literally busted hump! They arrived 10:30 am and didn't leave until the job was nearly complete at 11:20 pm. They came back the next morning and finshed the job. Also, he gave us the best quote and didn't up the price when he was done like some other installers l interviewed. Honest and respectful and didn't leave a mess. Highly recommended. read more
