This is a beautiful store with a well curated selection of high quality, stylish goods. Now, I was…read morehere in the midst of winter, so they were stocked with sturdy leather boots, warm coats and super soft flannel shirts. This being more of a men's shop, I would have happily purchased one of everything for my husband's wardrobe, and he would have worn it all. However, the prices being what they are (totally reasonable for the quality of the items, please note) going on a binge shop here isn't exactly something I would do. If you're looking to invest in craftsmanship, and a quality piece that will last you for years to come, then this is absolutely the shop for you. The items here definitely all fall within a particular style: rugged yet stylish and well-tailored. I hate to say it, but this is the dream shop for a lumbersexual, if anyone actually considers themselves one of those. Barbour, Penfield, Woolrich, Arc'Teryx and Fred Perry pieces line the shelves and the shoe selection consists of Camper, Hunter, and Wolverine. Great stuff, and a good range of prices, too. There is a lovely, but very small, selection of women's clothing, shoes and bags, too. The store is open to an adjoining space called Paloma where I perused several Kate Spade and Mackage handbags, a Fred Perry parka that I covet, and a sweet little Barbour dress. They have women's Camper and Wolverine shoes, too -- much the same aesthetic but for ladies. Great shop, friendly staff that greets you and then lets you browse to your own beat. I like you, Downcity Outfitters. Next time I need a coat, a flannel or a great pair of boots, you'll be the first place I look.

At their new location in Pawtucket... Beyond bad customer…read moreservice!!! Called for days with no answer to find out if they had a Black Friday sale. After driving from Bristol we found a note on the door with a number to call for assistance. The man was not only un-accommodating but complained how busy and stressed with online orders he was. We were actual people standing outside their door and they wouldn't come down a few flights of stairs to sell us a jacket. Told us to drive back tomorrow....I think not.

My fav clothing brand in the entire fucking world. Everything they have is so so insanely beautiful…read moreand cute and I've never found a brand that embodies me better. So entirely worth the price. here is a pic of a few of my sweaters.

Purchased a sweater back in April and it was received with a horrible smell and the quality of…read moresweater was not good. Looked as if the sweater was made poorly and the neckline was stretched out. Called to get a return label to send back. No one apologized yet did acknowledge that there had been an issue with the sweater smelling and some returned due to that issue. Noone saying "I'm sorry we sent you a horribly smelling sweater".... Just sent a return label so sweater could be returned. I returned sweater. Saw that a week ago it came back on the website with a preorder date of 1/5/25. I placed the preorder with hopes that the sweater would be of better quality and not the horrible smell of the last sweater. Two days later I receive a email stating the sweater had shipped. How could this sweater ship if the preorder date was 1/5/25 and this is 12/14/24. Received sweater today and it was the same stinky, stretched out neckline sweater order months previously that I returned. Not only do I have to run around again and return this sweater to the post office but what company sends out the same sweater that was returned due to complaints that it was damaged and stunk. A $148 dollar sweater, that was smelly...sent out again!!! I am beyond aggravated with the company and the lack of integrity of their products. If you knew the sweater was returned due to defects and smell why not damage it out....not try to sell it again. I will not be purchasing from this company again. Their customer service stinks and obviously do not care about good customer service. Unbelievable!
