I oversee and mange a fitness store on High ridge road (Fitness Showrooms of Stamford) I was recently referred a client, Husband and wife both Marathon runners. They both visited my store this past week, and the very first thing I noticed when they stepped into the store was their fancy sneaks Hako One! I knew of Hawley lane shoes years ago when I managed a fitness store in bulls head plaza. So I took a drive to the shoe store. I literley can not find the words of how exceptional my customer experience was. The second I walked in i was enthusiastically greeted by lovely lady named Natalie, who respectfully introduced me to a gentleman named Scott. I have never in my life met such a passionate sales individual. I myself take pride in educating my clients, and providing them with as much knoweldge as possibly can, but when it came to Scott fitting me for Hako One, I was literely speaking to doctor! Scott strongly educated me on facts of a foot that I never ever knew mattered. I couldn't stop smiling the entire time of the shoe fitting, I was absolutely amazed by the knowledge and expertise I was being provided from Scott. My customer experience was beyond expected that I actually returned 3 times, because I had that many concerns and questions. Its because of Individuals like Scott, that can change a customers mindset of how the human foot truly functions. This was an incredible experience, thank you so much Scott and the friendly staff at Hawley Lane Shoes. You can easily sense when an individual speaks with passion of their profession. Scott you are truly amazing at what you do. Thank you so much

I was 2 weeks out of the return window since person was out of town and could not try them on; staff said they shoes were worn. They were not. It was very clear they were brand new. I have been shopping here for years; all new staff are very sullen and unprofessional. Very disappointing; they would not help been in any way even with a partial credit. I will not be shopping there again.

Or they OVER buy on a trend from the 2000's....There's no variety. There's nothing that makes this place worth a visit. Most of the staff is just as uninspiring. They offer a halfhearted greeting when you walk in, but beyond that, they're completely disengaged--mostly standing around with their arms crossed, looking like they'd rather be anywhere else. Which makes sense because they barely make minimum wage, which is concerning considering how much the owner walks away with year after year. I probably wouldn't be inspired to help customers either. It's pretty obvious that the owner of this store couldn't care less about their employees--or their customers, for that matter. Unless you're looking for outdated clothes and indifferent service, I'd recommend shopping elsewhere. Go shop at the family owned business Richard's in Greenwich much better selection, happy employees and OWNERS!

Darien sport shop seems to have survived the online revolution with help from, you guessed it Santa…read moreClaus. Every year Santa comes and kids line up from across the country to sit on his lap and tell them what they want. In Darien, that could be a new Canada goose jacket (available at DSS) or a new pair of Nordic skis (available at DSS). Maybe even a new Range Rover (not available but DSS can order it). And for the adults who brave the intense December line to catch a glimpse of the big guy, they setup a makeshift bar (no charge of course) with Bloody Mary's, Mimosas, Beer, Wine, all the fixings. Back to Santa, did I mention this guy is the real deal? He claims that he runs a bird seed shop in the off season, lol. Yea Kringle, I ain't buying it. Tell those elves at the North Pole that the socks you brought me in '94 were bull$#&!. Jk I'm a good boy I take it back.
