Large, spacious store filled with all things for the beach! Swimsuits. Cover ups. Towels. Wetsuits. Snorklegear. Goggles and fins. Paddle boards. Boogie boards. Skateboards. Yep, it's all here! And plenty of room to walk around without feeling claustrophobic as is the case in some of the stores with a smaller footprint. Plus some really nice casual clothing. For women there are maxi dresses, shirts, tshirts, sweatshirts. I particularly liked the new towel ponchos that they carry, as do most other shops these days. Super convenient when walking to and from the beach. Also lots of beach bags, backpacks and totes. Walls full of Havaianas and Teva water shoes. They are well stocked! Even though they have lots of items, they didn't have a mesh bag I needed for my swim gear. The owner directed me to Suf N Sea where I found just what I needed. Great store! Will be back. read more

Huge sandal collection (two walls) and they had my size (13), but the main reason to come here is the cats. They had two outside and one inside working as a dressing room CATtendant. If you try to take in more than two items, she gives you paws. read more

Raging Isle is one of my new favorite North Shore shops. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly, and I found several items that I absolutely love. I was surprised at how affordable and high quality everything was, with great sale selections compared to a lot of other surf shops. A special shout-out to Tarik, who assisted my group when we were visiting. He was super friendly and led us straight to what we were looking for. The place itself has a great atmosphere. Today I went in with my daughter and son to look for some Christmas gifts. The staff here was super kind and helpful. The gentleman helping me at the register assisted me with everything I needed and even commented on my shirt that I was using. Upon leaving with my daughter, the gentleman at the register looked at my daughter and told her it was her lucky day while asking her to pick out a bracelet for her to have. Little did he know that, my daughter was having a sad day and that just lifted her spirits up! Love this store, and love the aloha spirit that is alive in that shop!!! My friend and I were just cruising around Haleiwa and stopped by at this shop! Good thing we did. First of all, service was awesome! Everyone working there are so friendly! I swear we took a good while trying different swimsuit and wetsuit and the workers were so patient and talking stories with us. They have pretty much everything here from swimsuit, wetsuit, slippers, boards, skateboards, socks, etc! Check out the back by the fitting room, that's where discounted items are! Nice enough shop, but I have to dock it a few stars due to blatant sexism I experienced here. A summary of the conversation I had with one of the sales associates (middle-aged white male), after he already asked if I needed help and I said I was just browsing: Me: Oh, my husband just walked in - looks like he's shopping too. Associate: You shopping with his money? Me (looking confused): No, it's my money. Associate (laughing in a light tone): You got his wallet? Just.... wow. I didn't even respond out of shock that anyone would say this in 2021. I wish I had. Not that it matters, but I work in tech and my salary is over 3x higher than my husband's. Even if I was a homemaker and my husband was the breadwinner, a comment like this to any woman, let alone a paying customer, is unacceptable. Do better. read more

In search of a wetsuit and was directed by the hubs to go to North Shore for the best prices. Like Goldilocks, I stopped at two other stores before finding the perfect one at Raging Isle. The store is tucked away in the back of North Shore Marketplace, across from the standalone Patagonia store, so you might easily miss it. There's lots of parking, although it's difficult to find a spot on the weekends. Inside there's a good-sized collection of women's swimsuits and wetsuits (it's toward the back - the big sign that says wetsuits directs you to the men's). There are three large dressing rooms - which tells me a woman had a hand in designing at least part of the store. Staff are very friendly and helpful - was a wonderful shopping experience overall! read more

Whenever I walk into this store it makes "local people" feel like their walking on eggshells. The owners don't know how to genuinely greet all of their customers. I'm turned off at how the owners watch you like a "hawk" and make you feel like your going to steal their items. It's such a shame. read more

Very cute selection for guys, ladies, girls, boys, surfers, etc. They carry Billabong, Volcom, Element, RVCA, and a wide selection of bikinis too. I also noticed they have really cute assesories for females. A long with a wide selection of surf gear and guy stuff. So thats pretty much a win win considering a lot of little surf shops in an area like that wouldn't have such a heafty selection. They are locted in the same shopping center where Cholo's Homestyle Mexicano Rest, Banzai Sushi Bar, Breakers Bar&Grille, etc is. They have a good amount of parking here as well. I'm not sure on the hours of opperation but I'm sure it's between 10A.M. - 8 P.M. ? I'm not that sure but I know that "Country" businesses tend to close down a lot more early than businesses in "Town" or in the Honolulu district.... The workers are cool too, aloha style. They greet you when you walk in which is great and are not too over bearing when it comes to their selling approach/technique. They also have a pretty good sales selection here and they have good promotions. :) read more

Boyfriend and I swung by the day before our friend's wedding to pick up a last-minute aloha shirt. I had picked him up a $14 aloha shirt when I was at Walmart the night prior to our flight, which would have sufficed had they stocked a more suitable (read: smaller) size. They have a wide selection of apparel, accessories, and surf gear. Within a minute, I had found 5 different aloha shirts for my boyfriend to try, and a helpful staff member pointed me to other options. They also have a decent clearance section in the back of the store, with racks of items 30% and 50% off. Unfortunately, the boyfriend didn't like the discounted aloha shirts I found, but we did find a Billabong aloha shirt at retail price for $55 (average price is $55-60, with high end being $80) that fit him well and that he would actually wear again (that last part is key). Exchanges only within 10 days from purchase with all tags and labels plus original receipt, no refunds. Exchange credit valid for 1 year. No refunds or exchanges on discounted or sale items. Now to return that Walmart bedsheet--I mean aloha shirt ;) read more

This shop has a lot of great cool surf style clothes but there's just one thing that I can't stand and it affects how I choose to shop. I've lived in Oahu for my whole life and more than 10 years on the North Shore and everytime I've been in this shop I've been hounded by either an employee or the owner older man (don't know which) and I've left every time shaking my head. This older man watched my every move and shadowed me the entire time I was in the store. I left after 5 minutes of this because no one likes to have that done to them thinking they are stealing something. I don't shop there anymore because of the way this old man acts to his customers. read more

So this place has some terrible staff members! Considering they are a surf shop on the north shore you'd think they would be friendly n encourage local shoppers....NOPE!! Rude, and what appears to be a mostly mainland staff that knows nothing of local culture.......I guess they survive off tourists so who cares if they are nice or not? read more

I like this surf shop. It's about a 40 minute drive to get there but it doesn't matter... the view is always gorgeous. The drive is pretty relaxing anyways...or should i say the ride there. I have my driver drive me ;) This place has I think way more choices than the surf shops in town. The workers there acknowledge that you are there and aren't pushy after asking you ONCE if you need help. It's located in Halewa Town Center and of course you can make a stop to Coffee Gallery which is my newest fave. I'll review on them after :) read more

Store was well kept but my issue is my young daughter who bought a surfing poster for the ridiculous price of $15. Had second thoughts no more than 10 minutes after walking out of the store, turned around and went back to return it. Stunned when she was told no refunds on posters. Argued that the poster walked out the door 10 min ago. To no avail. Poor kid had saved up her money, had second thoughts on how she chose to spend it and this is what she got. Terrible customer service. She's just a kid. We live in Hawaii and I will never give my business to this store again. Furthermore I will let all my friends know to steer clear as well. Shoddy business service can bite you in the you know what now that we are in the world of social media. Shame on you! read more

It's hard to really rate a surf store, especially when they are as rampant as they are down here. I'm reviewing this one, as I actually did buy something. The staff was super helpful. would look for other sizes for me, and ensured everything was going well. The store is huge and has a lot of selection, although that being said, I found pretty much the same thing is every other surf shop. I didn't have as much luck as I had hoped, but I did find a cute sweater I was bought. If you wear skate/surf brands and are a guy, girl or kid, you will find something you like! read more

favorite surf shop. they have quarterly sales that are "buy one get one half off" on the entire store. other than those times, they have the usual brand sales (buy a certain amount and get a free shirt, gift, etc). they also have a rack that's "buy any two items for $40 total", and if you know surf brands that's a deal and a half!! they always have things no other surf shops carry, and they're not tourist overpriced. they are continuously bringing in new swag and turning old stuff over to the sale rack, so i try to make it out here every couple of months. read more

I wasn't in the market for clothing the day I came in, but I found a fun pair of sunglasses for $25 and FINALLY found Rainbow flip flops (or slippers as they're called in Hawaii) in the size/style I want. This is my go-to surf shop on the N. Shore. For one, they're larger and have a better layout that say Surf 'n Sea or Quiksilver, both of which feel cramped. Especially good selection of unique surf-related t-shirts and slippahs for days. Pretty sure I've bought every pair of my Electric sunglasses here. You can usually find some vintage clothes and jewelry here too - they're not cheap, but one of a kind. One side is all skateboard gear and I think they have a repair counter as well. Great stuff. I found some swimsuits that I really like but had a very unpleasant experience with one of the workers. The cashier was trying to be friendly and ask me questions as he rang me up which led to me telling him that my husband was at work. Upon hearing this, he casually remarked that I was out spending my husbands money while he was at work. I felt so disrespected. It's 2019 and the idea that women can't spend the money that they worked incredibly hard for is so misogynistic and unwelcome. Won't be going to this store again. read more

Walked in on a visit to Haleiwa. Quickly greeted by an extremely helpful dude name "Frank," or at least thats what I think his name was. Frank was great. Couldn't find a shirt in my size and Frank volunteered to go check in the back to see if one was back there. Great Aloha experience. I'll definitely be stopping back there next time I'm in town. Actually this place is pretty good as far as selection and price. They tend to have edgier pieces from the big lines, good merchandise turnover and semi-frequent sales (although the discounts aren't all that deep). The reason this place gets 3 stars instead of 4 is that the owner is a raging $&@#%. He's completely rude to the point of antagonism. For example, today I went in and was greeted/helped very warmly by his staff. He was at the register. I asked him if he offered a military discount. "Are you full-time active duty?" He grunts at me. When I said I am, he grunts again: "show me." All this with zero eye contact. Once he inspects my military ID so long I suspect he may be doing reconnaissance for the PRC, he sooooo kindly offers me 10% off of the full-price items only. Kiiiinda wanted to choke him out at that point. Stuff like this happens whenever I see him here. If the selection of bikinis wasn't so great I would never willingly give money to this complete and utter $&@#%. read more
