Though no guava is found here like the fruit some of the items are found here in Hawai'i as this Hale'iwa Store Lots shop is filled with various cute items for women it's a great place to find items to gift or to add to your wants. Browsing around I enjoyed the various items the carry from beachwear and accessories to jewelry and various totes and even a fun puzzle postcard sharing the aloha spirit is very fun and unique here along with shirts with the local fun sayings had me smiling with a fun way to express your vibe for the day. The service here seems very friendly as she was very into the conversation with a guest that went on and on is great as I was busy browsing some of the items was quite pricey though do carry some unique items but it was a nice and comfortable place to shop. Fantastic shop in the heart of Haleiwa, the store has lots of beautiful beachy women's clothing. Jumpsuits, rompers, maxis, minis, bathing suits, t-shirts, tunics, cover ups - it's all there! Beautiful flowing styles, vibrant colors and soft, ethereal colors as well. The orange maxi dress wants to be mine but I just can't spend the aprox $300! So many gift items for yourself or a friend. Wonderful scented candles, soaps and lotions. Totes, purses, pouches. Books, notecards, stickers. Those super absorb and surfers towels that everyone has these days. The best! And fashion, affordable jewelry. Look for the guava colored building! I stop in whenever I'm in town. read more

05/12/2023: Cute beachy merch! Picked up some local Hawaii stickers and then spotted a couple of things I had to have cause, why not! I grabbed a cute "Aloha" cap and bag. Chatted with the friendly gal behind the counter. Well organized and clean shelves and display tables. They also have a website to order merch. Great little boutique in the North Shore area to shop and support local/small business. I ended up grabbing a solid perfume and body mist made here in Hawai'i. Prices are alright here too. It's a nice little place to get something special for yourself or someone else as a gift. There were a lot of the same body lotion/ fragrance/ candles sort of stuff. I do wish there was a larger variety to shop other things too in there like clothing or home goods. I read there are swim cover ups and stuff. I didn't see a huge selection, maybe it just wasn't the season. I found it a bit awkward though because the staff working there didn't say hi or anything. It was just the two of us for some time. She seemed deep in thought. But she was friendly when I did have a question and was ready to purchase. There's quite a number of these mix of local made goods type of boutiques. I'd say this was pretty good but not the most exciting one I visited. I think definitely if you're in the area, check them out. Always nice to support local read more

If you're in town to eat at matsumotos then stop by this store. They have great summer clothes and beach coverups. If you're not looking for clothes, they have other items like candles, necklaces, and other knick knacks. I really liked their beach coverups, but we were only staying another day so I couldn't justify the purchase. Really love the stuff they curate, it's not screaming hawaiian prints or patterns so they can easily be worn on the mainland at a pool or beach. read more

I'm so happy we decided to give this shop another chance because they have such cute items, and the salesperson today was friendly and helpful despite the shop being crowded. This is always a must stop for us when we head to the North Shore of Oahu. By far the greatest selection for fashionable items I'd say in all of Hawaii. Bathing suits, beach cover ups, and really amazing Hawaiian made items like soaps, scrubs and even stationary. Just a perfect North Shore vibe. The ladies that work there are also super nice and there are great stores on either side of them too so an easy spot to enjoyably spend a few hours on vacation or a day off. read more

Adore this little place--a study of the equivalent of Ambience in SF, except it's smaller and more hippie like. It has such cute clothes, eminently wearable, eg,flory peasant tunics, which Americans might deem "ethnic," and I'd call a song from my heart. They mix their clothing with candles and other home stuff--think Anthro and Urban with a touch of Free People thrown in, but on a much more modest scale. I was excited to go into this shop, as they carry Spell and the Gypsy. I walked in on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, l looked at a rack, I asked the women behind the counter, do you carry any plus sizes? Her response was in a not soo nice tone, " No we don't go above a large!" I asked her why? her response " I don't know!" Needless to say, I didn't buy the Spell robe, that I was looking for! I will happily take my $249 somewhere else, where I am not looked down on for being a plus size! read more

Walked in to the kailua location this weekend with my 2 year old daughter after we grabbed shave ice from a few stores down. We were completely ignored from the moment we walked in. The person working there was at the register just standing around. Not even a hello or anything when we walked in. Went in to shop on Sunday 1/8 around 11am. The owner of this boutique needs to talk to their associates about focusing on work and not anything else. My family and I went in along with another family. I was so excited to finally come to Haleiwa to shop at this store (after many months of only being able to view cute stuff on the Guava Shop Instagram). When I entered, the associate working did not acknowledge us and was instead painting her nails behind the counter. We could not purchase anything because her nails were wet. Give the job to someone who works hard for the pay or tell her to do her job. Both the other family as well as mine walked out with nothing because of that experience. read more

My daughter and I were at the Kailua location this past Saturday 1/14 around 1045 and upon entering the shop we were totally ignored, while the clerk who I believe was the owner acknowledged others who came in before and after us (and trust me, there would have been no confusion that we might have been all one group). I have purchased before at the location on the North Shore in the past but chose not to spend my money at this store in Kailua when the lack of customer service is such that you can't even get a greeting or offer for assistance. read more

I went to check out this cute shop this past Sunday (1/15). As I walked in, I was not greeted at all. The worker was just sitting on her chair doing nothing. I was browsing the store for a good ten minutes and although I was the ONLY customer in there, I was still not acknowledged by the worker. Talk about awkward. I proceeded closer to the cash wrap to check out the items displayed there and finally the worker stood up. At that moment I was thinking that she was about to start a conversation with me (like most retail workers do who have great customer service), but instead she got up to change the song that was playing in the store!! WOW. Although there were some items I was interested in purchasing, I left. This is NOT the first time this has happened to me in this store location. I've been into this store at least 3 times in the last 6 months and it never fails -- I am not greeted or welcomed when I walk in. I don't care if you do not really want to make small talk, but at least acknowledge your customers to let them know that you care that they are in the shop?! The owners really need to step up and train their employees to have common courtesy and respect. It is what you do as a retail worker, regardless if you are having a bad day or not. For crying out loud, even fast food workers will greet every customer! Don't count on the workers at Guava to do so. read more

I have been shopping here for as long as I can remember so at least 3-4 years. I think they were at a different location when I first came in. I've bought 2 dresses here, various stationary and other gifts. Yesterday, I came in with my fam including twin 2 yr old nieces so I bought a dress but didn't try it on, my mistake. Each of my family bought something as well. When I got to my hotel, the dress fit but didn't look good on me. I drove an hour to return it to find out that they only offer store credit. Under pressure, I couldn't find anything...of course. I asked the sales lady to call the store manager/maybe owner. Although they don't offer refunds, they made a one time exception. THIS is and example of how to treat people...with exemplary customer service. They will issue my refund on Mon when I'm off the island and be back home but I appreciate their customer astonishment today as I did every time I have been in this store. Thank you Liz for making a one time exception. I hope to shop in your store every year when I come back to Oahu. read more
