I come here every week to eat there or get take out. The price is amazing for the amount of food you are getting, and the quality is consistently good! Try the Monster Roll! I ordered it, my friends tried it, and they all ended up ordering it! The combo roll is good too, and I normally do the spicy tuna and spicy salmon. They are really honest about whether they use fresh or frozen tuna for the rolls, and I appreciate the candor. You can upgrade to fresh tuna or salmon if it's available that day. Their bento boxes are great for a healthy lunch or dinner. The beef stew tofu soup is generally yummy as well-not as spicy as it normally is in Korea, but I don't take spices that well so I'm definitely glad. read more

We arrived when the restaurant opened, so the restaurant was empty. Our orders were taken quickly, and all the food came out within 15 minutes. Different menu items take a different amount of time to prepare, so the server gave us the choice of whether we wanted the food all at once or one at a time. The fish pieces in the Salmon Avocado Roll and Hew Dup Bap were very thick, and they were delicious. The Hwe dup bap was a great portion for its cost. The Udon soup's beef broth was very smooth and not too oily which was great, but udon is not my preference and was not my order, so I can't comment too much on that. The service was amazing - the owners, who were Korean, gave us free kimchi and miso soup - but that may have been because we were Korean too, and was the first customer of the day. Overall, the restaurant's food was great, and I would recommend it to anyone near the area who wants to try East Asian cuisine. read more

Went here for lunch. I was really disappointed with the lunch special. Most sushi joints include at least a soup or salad with their sushi roll lunch specials but not here. Two rolls were $9 which was not really a lunch special because $4.50 is a typical price for a cali roll and a spicy tuna roll at most sushi places. The food was good and I have not complaints reading the food or service. I just wish they had a better lunch deal. read more

My boyfriend ordered 3 rolls for takeout. It only took about ten minutes for them to be ready. The spicy tuna is very good but be prepared that the spicy Mayo is spicier than average. My boyfriend and I have been eating here for almost 2 years and have never had a bad experience. The food is so delicious and cooked with so much love. The owners are always so welcoming and make such an effort in remembering us and also our orders. As an avid sushi lover this is a dream spot! I came here for the first time last night! The staff were sooo nice! Let me start off by saying that this restaurant is a gem to the Rahway NJ community. Haruka is comparable to the nearby sushi spots in the adjacent cities like Iselin and Colonia. Walking into the restaurant, they're about about 7 tables for sitdown dinner and a bar area. Walking in we were greeted by smiles and asked if we wanted to start our meal with green tea or water. The menu is vast with a nice selection of appetizers . As far as entrees, the sushi menu and the noodle menu are spot on! For dessert, we received complimentary ice cream which was a nice tough. I will definitely come back to this spot ! Rahway sushi has been my savior since moving to the area! I love that it's so close to the train station AND my apartment in a place where most the food is either Portuguese or American. The staff if friendly and they're quick. I've never eaten inside but I've done take out countless times and plan to continue. The bento boxes are great. read more

We went there today for lunch and I got a lunch special and extra soup for my daughter, avocado and rice & my bill was only 22$ this place was awesome for a quick lunch and very affordable for the quality of the sushi. I've gone to more expensive places and the quality doesn't touch Rahway Sushi... I was genuinely impressed. Rahway is definitely making a come back with all these awesome restaurants popping up. Very good sushi! I had the specialty Philadelphia but with raw salmon--it was very fresh!!! The avocado salad with ginger dressing was great along with the soy wings spicy!!! This was a pleasant encounter because I accidentally discovered this place and didn't know it has been there for a year! It's right near Rahway station which literally down the restaurant path! I used to live in the neighborhood so I stopped by for a pint and saw that the place was opening. I walked in and was greeted to a soft opening free buffet a little bit of everything that they offer on the menu all for free. I was greeted by the entire staff and the food was excellent. It's a small little place. I thought they will just serve typical Sushi/bento box meal. but what surprised me was their Korean Garlic Flavored Wings!!! Friendly place with good food. Enjoyed the bento box with shrimp tempura and the bento box with the donkatsu (pork cutlet). What surprised and impressed us was that neither the tempura nor the cutlet were greasy, meaning they were prepared properly. Only suggestion for improvement would be to soften the physical environment by adding softer lighting (the fluorescent lights diminish the atmosphere). Glad to have them in Rahway. read more

I always order sushi from a different place, but decided to give this place a try and boy was I disappointed. The Sashimi was not fresh and sushi didn't taste good.
