There is a nice location in East Brunswick for Ramen. We had chicken cutlet and miso ramen to go. The chicken cutlet was juicy, and the breading was soft. It was delicious. The ramen was okay; I had it better. It was average ramen. Next time I visit, I will try curry with chicken. The service was nice and quick. If you are in the mood for ramen, check this place out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is small but seats about 20 people and has multiple tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would return if I am in the area again.

If you want to have an amazingly delicious Ramen, try Rai Rai Ramen in East Brunswick NJ. They have a lot in their menu to choose from. I've d been here many times and keeps on coming back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service is great, the ambiance is cozy and it's simply the best Ramen House in town.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their price is reasonable too. I always have their Miso Base Ramen, Mochiko Chicken, wasabi flavored shumai and many others. It's also BYOB, so if you're craving for a ramen specially now that the weather is getting cold, give Rai Rai Ramen a try.

    Mini Combo with Curry Rice

My friend was craving some quality ramen, so we made a spontaneous last-minute visit here to have dinner. I wasn't particularly feeling like having ramen, but then I noticed they had mini combos. I decided to try out their mini combo with curry rice. It turned out to be a great decision. The portion sizes for the katsu and ramen were quite large for supposedly being "mini" size. My brother and I love curry, and they graciously brought us extra when we asked. It definitely hit the spot and was the perfect meal to warm up with on a cold night. I've eaten here several times before, but I think this has become my new go-to option for future visits.

It was not my first time here, and for sure, it won't be my last time. This place has some solid ramen. It's not the best ramen I've ever had in my life, but it's pretty damn good. The side orders here aren't bad at all, too. I really liked the mochiko chicken and the Chinese broccoli. Noth are great sid options for the table. The vibe here isn't nothing too special, but it gets the job done with setting a semi-asain ambiance.

This place has got a bunch of good food in east brunswick. It's my go to spot if I'm in the area and craving ramen. Their ramen is pretty decent but ive had better. However it does a pretty good job if you're in need of a ramen fix. They have a wide menu and have a lot of options and combos to choose from. They have ramen dishes, rice dishes, and an assortment of sides and a limited amount of dimsum options. Price point is also good too. Ramen is like $14-15. I usually order for pick up here but I've dined inside a handful of times and they were all pleasant experiences. Sometimes it's not too packed inside and other times like around dinner time, it can get busier but I've always been seated almost immediately. Vibes are casual and staff is attentive and pleasant!

We've had ramen in NY, San Diego, San Fran and Chicago and this lives up to those places. Love the variety on the menu (we tried seafood ramen, mapo tofu ramen and a fried rice) but our collective favorite was the spicy miso ramen. Will be back to try more options. BYOB!

The staff is so nice. You're quickly seated and taken order. They have a spicy sauce for you to adjust the level at the table. They have a variety of spicy and non spicy and different meat options in the ramen bowl. The Fried Noodles are outstanding. So delicious and flavorful. The bowls were huge and taste great as well. Also of stuff. I wish there was a little more broth/soup. The boba drinks were delicious as well. Loved it. It was a great experience and I highly recommend this place.

Huge menu with all kinds of noodle soups amongst other things. If you like noodles, this has all the options. They market their ingredients as imported from Japan and make the noodles fresh everyday. They were good noodles but I couldn't tell the difference unfortunately. Noodles are an important part of a dish but when the broth is rich, it's hard to tell the difference. Overall was good, the spicy curry ramen was good and quite spicy. The miso was a little bit salty. The oxtail ramen was nothing special but was not skimpy with the oxtail.

Adorable little place. Service was good. Nicely decorated. The food was delicious + they cooked all the ramen PERFECTLY!! Nice pieces of Oxtail. Able to get low sodium soup base. Would definitely return + try more entrees.

Heard a lot about this place and it didn't disappoint! I had the chicken fried rice and also tried some of my buddies Tan Tan ramen was delicious and spicy!

Visited Rai Rai Ramen at the suggestion of my cousin. It was a Saturday night so it was pretty busy. Fortunately, my girlfriend had called in a reservation so we were seated quickly. For an appetizer, we ordered the momochiko chicken. It was basically karaage, a Japanese style fried chicken. The breading was pretty thick, and it was a little greasy, but otherwise it was OK. For my entree, I got the Akamaru Modern Ramen, which has charsiu, wood fungus, whole egg, black garlic oil, and special spicy sauce. It was HEAVY. The ingredients all had a strong flavor but the dish was super filling. The broth was very thick and creamy. I didnt finish it. Not bad, but not my first choice.

Great reviews drew us here for dinner on a weekday. Place was full, but the manager found us a table in the middle for four. We tried the fries with pork and spicy sauce. Good, but the pork was minced beyond recognition so the flavor would have been better if in small chunks. Four entrees included a seafood crispy noodle, shrimp wonton in ramen, and chicken katsu shoyu ramen. The entrees were great, plentiful, hot and very tasty. Staff were attentive, refilled our water pitcher several times. Nice place in a strip mall next to a ShopRite. Will definitely visit again.

It's easy to miss this spot if you aren't looking for it. It is inside the mall next to DSW/Best Buy. I promise it is worth a stop though. The ramen is simply amazing, very tasty and with lots of ingredients. They have a huge selection of flavors so a little bit for everyone. The Mochiko chicken was a very pleasant surprise. Perfectly crunchy with a nice sauce to accompany it. The prices are right, especially considering the quality of the food. They do offer a 10% cash discount. The staff is very friendly, and they kindly packaged our leftovers so we didn't have to (involuntarily) make a mess. Service is very fast which is a nice bonus.

Is Rai Rai Ramen open for indoor dining?

Yes, it is open now, they space you out nicely.

Does anyone know if the noodles are gluten-free? Asking for a friend.

Most likely yes, because it's usually rice noodles, but the broth and sauces in their dishes make it hard for those who are gf to eat at because they likely have soy and wheat in it.

Will they omit the pork in mapo tofu?

Yes, they have vegetarian vertion mapo tofu

Like many people today, I'm mindful of what I spend dining out, so I expect good value for the price. Since I live in South Jersey, I brought the food home to eat later. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The ramen included four slices of chashu (pork belly), but three of those slices were entirely fat with no meat. I understand that pork belly naturally contains fat--that's part of what makes it flavorful--but receiving pieces that were essentially all fat made the dish unpleasant and felt like poor quality control. I called the restaurant to share my concern, but the response was underwhelming. I was simply told the manager would be informed. When I asked if there was anything further that could be done, I received no real resolution--just a basic explanation of what pork belly is. As someone who understands the product, that explanation missed the point. The issue wasn't what chashu is--it was the quality of what was served. Everything else about the meal was fine, which is why I'm giving two stars instead of one. However, customer service matters just as much as the food. A simple effort to address the issue or offer a solution would have made a big difference. As a former business owner, I've always believed customer satisfaction should be a top priority. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here, and for that reason, I won't be returning.

Michelle was absolutely fantastic. Friendly, sharp, attentive, and just genuinely great at what she does. The whole staff made us feel comfortable, and then owner Dave came over personally to welcome us, which tells you a lot about the pride behind this place. Now the food. The fish tacos were outstanding. Crispy fresh fish, light, flavorful, with fresh slaw and pico that gave every bite the perfect balance. Nothing greasy, nothing heavy, just done right. The brisket quesadilla was loaded. Smoky tender brisket, perfectly melted cheese, crispy tortilla, pure comfort food. But the brisket sourdough sandwich stole the show. The system worked beautifully at first. Their website promised pickup in 20 minutes. I left the The Heldrich Hotel and made the ten minute walk, only to find my order already being bagged. Efficiency like that gives a person hope. Hope, as it turns out, is fragile. Back in the room, I opened the containers immediately. Spicy beef noodles with hand pulled noodles in a beef and pork broth, along with steamed pork soup dumplings that had been spoken of with reverence online. The dumplings were cold. Not warm, not cooling. Cold, like they had been waiting longer than I had. They had fused together into a single tragic mass. When I tried to separate them, the dough tore open and the soup filling spilled out into the container, abandoning its purpose. How this happened during a ten minute walk is a mystery. The more likely answer is that it did not. The noodles were at least hot. The flavor was fine. Not offensive, not memorable, just present. You eat it, and it disappears from your mind almost immediately. This is a place people seem to love, which makes the experience feel like a clerical error in the matrix. Perhaps it was an off night. Perhaps I caught them at the exact wrong moment, but on this particular evening, dinner felt less like a meal and more like a misunderstanding.
