I ordered take-out and the service was okay. very quick. The food was prepared in less than 10 minutes. Its a small cute and cozy restaurant if you do want to dine-in. I got the vegetable ramen & it was FULL! full of veggies & tons of noodles. Fantastic amount for the price. It was delicious, but i wish there was some bokchoy in it. I added and egg and the egg was delicious
Rai Rai Ramen is a cozy, small restaurant with an average noise level. Upon entering, the hostess greeted us warmly and promptly seated us. We were served water and given menus to order from. We decided to try their boba tea.I had the passionfruit boba tea, while my boyfriend had the mango boba tea. He enjoyed the mango flavor, but I wasn't a fan of the passionfruit one, as it wasn't mixed well. For appetizers, we shared the Rai Rai Ramen fries, which were a tasty start to our meal. For the main course, I ordered the Akamaru Modern Ramen, and my boyfriend had the Butter Corn Ramen. Both dishes were absolutely amazing! I especially loved their hot oil. It's the bomb! Overall, Rai Rai Ramen is a great spot to check out, especially on a rainy day.
There is a nice location in East Brunswick for Ramen. We had chicken cutlet and miso ramen to go. The chicken cutlet was juicy, and the breading was soft. It was delicious. The ramen was okay; I had it better. It was average ramen. Next time I visit, I will try curry with chicken. The service was nice and quick. If you are in the mood for ramen, check this place out. This place is small but seats about 20 people and has multiple tables. I would return if I am in the area again.
If you want to have an amazingly delicious Ramen, try Rai Rai Ramen in East Brunswick NJ. They have a lot in their menu to choose from. I've d been here many times and keeps on coming back. The service is great, the ambiance is cozy and it's simply the best Ramen House in town. Their price is reasonable too. I always have their Miso Base Ramen, Mochiko Chicken, wasabi flavored shumai and many others. It's also BYOB, so if you're craving for a ramen specially now that the weather is getting cold, give Rai Rai Ramen a try.
My friend was craving some quality ramen, so we made a spontaneous last-minute visit here to have dinner. I wasn't particularly feeling like having ramen, but then I noticed they had mini combos. I decided to try out their mini combo with curry rice. It turned out to be a great decision. The portion sizes for the katsu and ramen were quite large for supposedly being "mini" size. My brother and I love curry, and they graciously brought us extra when we asked. It definitely hit the spot and was the perfect meal to warm up with on a cold night. I've eaten here several times before, but I think this has become my new go-to option for future visits.

This place has got a bunch of good food in east brunswick. It's my go to spot if I'm in the area and craving ramen. Their ramen is pretty decent but ive had better. However it does a pretty good job if you're in need of a ramen fix. They have a wide menu and have a lot of options and combos to choose from. They have ramen dishes, rice dishes, and an assortment of sides and a limited amount of dimsum options. Price point is also good too. Ramen is like $14-15. I usually order for pick up here but I've dined inside a handful of times and they were all pleasant experiences. Sometimes it's not too packed inside and other times like around dinner time, it can get busier but I've always been seated almost immediately. Vibes are casual and staff is attentive and pleasant!
We've had ramen in NY, San Diego, San Fran and Chicago and this lives up to those places. Love the variety on the menu (we tried seafood ramen, mapo tofu ramen and a fried rice) but our collective favorite was the spicy miso ramen. Will be back to try more options. BYOB!

They have a variety of spicy and non spicy and different meat options in the ramen bowl. The Fried Noodles are outstanding. So delicious and flavorful. The bowls were huge and taste great as well. Also of stuff. I wish there was a little more broth/soup. The boba drinks were delicious as well. Loved it. It was a great experience and I highly recommend this place.
Huge menu with all kinds of noodle soups amongst other things. If you like noodles, this has all the options. They market their ingredients as imported from Japan and make the noodles fresh everyday. They were good noodles but I couldn't tell the difference unfortunately. Noodles are an important part of a dish but when the broth is rich, it's hard to tell the difference. Overall was good, the spicy curry ramen was good and quite spicy. The miso was a little bit salty. The oxtail ramen was nothing special but was not skimpy with the oxtail.
Adorable little place. Service was good. Nicely decorated. The food was delicious + they cooked all the ramen PERFECTLY!! Nice pieces of Oxtail. Able to get low sodium soup base. Would definitely return + try more entrees.

Visited Rai Rai Ramen at the suggestion of my cousin. It was a Saturday night so it was pretty busy. Fortunately, my girlfriend had called in a reservation so we were seated quickly. For an appetizer, we ordered the momochiko chicken. It was basically karaage, a Japanese style fried chicken. The breading was pretty thick, and it was a little greasy, but otherwise it was OK. For my entree, I got the Akamaru Modern Ramen, which has charsiu, wood fungus, whole egg, black garlic oil, and special spicy sauce. It was HEAVY. The ingredients all had a strong flavor but the dish was super filling. The broth was very thick and creamy. I didnt finish it. Not bad, but not my first choice.

My husband and I love this place! 5 stars for the seafood and vegetable Ramen dishes! We get them both with vegetable broth. The portion is huge and filling! You would not believe how much seafood they put in the seafood ramen! The vegetable ramen is packed with vegetables too! It's a great value for a great price, and it keeps us coming back every week! I highly doubt any other ramen place gives such generous portions! That's why the place is always busy! One time I tried the shrimp wonton ramen and didn't like the filling in that one. Something tasted off with it, and not like the filling you usually get when ordering wonton soup. We haven't tried any other dishes yet because we really love ordering the seafood or vegetable ramen. Came here for dinner on a Saturday evening and the place was pretty busy, but it was no wait for a table which was nice. Menu had a decent selection of Japanese dishes and since I had had soup for lunch, I actually opted for a curry. The food came out pretty quickly which was solid and portion size was huge - great amount of food and it was well made. Overall, solid experience, albeit a bit pricy. Overall, we left satisfied though and wouldn't mind coming back. Thanks, Rai Rai! read more

I've been to the NB RaiRai Ramen and was ok with it. This is virtually the same. The ramen was a ok and the portions were big. The servers were nice. Attentive and kind. The place was huge with ample seating. The entrance could use a little sprucing up. It was like walking into a janitor closet. One thing I loved A LOT was that they add the tip onto your bill so you don't have tp worry about it. read more

Great reviews drew us here for dinner on a weekday. Place was full, but the manager found us a table in the middle for four. We tried the fries with pork and spicy sauce. Good, but the pork was minced beyond recognition so the flavor would have been better if in small chunks. Four entrees included a seafood crispy noodle, shrimp wonton in ramen, and chicken katsu shoyu ramen. The entrees were great, plentiful, hot and very tasty. Staff were attentive, refilled our water pitcher several times. Nice place in a strip mall next to a ShopRite. Will definitely visit again. read more
What a great find near me! I feel like we have a food desert in these parts. Finally! A place that i can look forward to eating at regularly. I was so happy to try this place out. It looked very clean and new. I thought they recently opened but they've been open for 3 years. Their other location has been open for 10 years! We ordered the house ramen that came with a fried oyster, generous portion of pork belly, 1/2 egg and veggies. I love that their noodles are made fresh in house. They have the option of low sodium broth which is a first for me and I immediately ordered it low sodium. While I love ramen, I always found the broth to be a tad too salty no matter where I had ramen. The low sodium broth was absolutely perfect! It was very rich and flavorful. They cook their pork broth for over 15 hours and their beef broth for over 24 hours which is what the owner told me. We got 3 appetizers: chicken katsu, oyster omelette and takoyaki. We enjoyed them all. Huge generous portion for the chicken Katsu. If you like a little heat, be sure to add some of their house made chili. It compliments the ramen well. Portions are huge. Service is friendly. Prices are so reasonable. They're located in a huge shopping center so parking should never be an issue. I was told their ox tail ramen is the bomb. I can't wait to go back and try that next time. I can't wait to go back! read more
It's easy to miss this spot if you aren't looking for it. It is inside the mall next to DSW/Best Buy. I promise it is worth a stop though. The ramen is simply amazing, very tasty and with lots of ingredients. They have a huge selection of flavors so a little bit for everyone. The Mochiko chicken was a very pleasant surprise. Perfectly crunchy with a nice sauce to accompany it. The prices are right, especially considering the quality of the food. They do offer a 10% cash discount. The staff is very friendly, and they kindly packaged our leftovers so we didn't have to (involuntarily) make a mess. Service is very fast which is a nice bonus. read more

Great cozy atmosphere. Service and quick and the food is great. This place is a chain restaurant and there another one located in New Brunswick. This location however has more meal options. It is in a shopping center area so there is plenty of parking. I would recommend this place on a cold day and maybe a lunch date. The ramen here is very good. read more

If you need a hearty bowl of decent ramen, and can overlook some operational and ambiance deficiencies, Rai Rai Ramen deserves your visit. I had pretty low expectations for this place and when I arrived, a rather haphazard operations and just overall weird vibe seemed to echo my fears. For example, when I got there with my son, there was barely any waiting space inside the door so there were like 3 people just standing there looking confused, and no one came to acknowledge us for a good 3 minutes when a lady finally came by with a clipboard and we all signed up then. Seating was done rather weird with many 6 to 8 seating arrangements that were empty, and at least three 4-seat tables with 1 or 2 people. When asked if they could separate 2 seats from a vacant 8 seater in the back, lady said it's ... reserved or something?! So ok whatever. The space is bright and clean with interesting lighting design, but its "one big communal space" is overall a bit awkward, like things were just put together haphazardly, and could use a better space design. (e.g. defined seating areas, dividers, entry way wind screen, etc.) After about 10 minutes staring at the awkward outdoor adventure TV program on one side, we were seated and we wasted no time ordering. I had their Akamaru ramen which the server lady patiently explained, to best of her lingual abilities, as a popular one with mayo(?) and spicy paste. I got more standard shoyu for my 8-yr old son. I'll say their menu was rather interesting with creative spins on traditional Japanese fares like ramen, donburi, and katsu - so kudos for that. When it came, portion seemed generous, with slabs of meat and two poached egg halves. Upon one slurp, my skepticism melted away - broth was rather interesting as the server girl was trying to communicate before - umami with good body yet not overly salty. Chasiu was chewy if not slightly rubbery, but eggs were delicious with great al dente noodles. I really enjoyed the bowl! My son also seemed to like it, including the menma (bamboo shoots) and the imitation crab meat. The entryway was not designed well, blowing arctic wind over the row of seats near the entry wall, but we slurped away to maintain our body heat. Overall, I think this is a great addition to this big box retailer area which lacks quality local eateries, esp. ramen. While it seems to be a Chinese-run joint, like most "Japanese" restaurants in the area, I will say they are doing a pretty decent job at staying faithful to the ramen formula while adding some creativity. Just don't expect too much in ambiance or operational excellence for now as it seems like they're pretty new at this, but if a hearty bowl of ramen that is by no means stellar but decent indeed is what you need, check this place out and you'll leave satisfied. read more

Okay listen, I had spaghetti for lunch the day we went to Rai Rai Ramen; and so, that's why I elected to get a rice plate at a restaurant whose primary focus is ramen (as evident in the name of this dining establishment). In other words, I simply needed more tactile variety in my daily food intake. Excellent portion sizes, guaranteed to leave you satisfied. Bubble tea had an awesome number of tapioca balls in it; however, word of advice, DO NOT drink this after 6pm if you're super sensitive to caffeine like I am because this had me WIRED. I couldn't fall asleep until 4am and I woke up the next morning angry as hell. read more

Accidently went to the wrong Rai Rai in North Brunswick, but went directly to the East Brunswick Rai Rai to meet with a friend. They are only 20 mins apart from each other. Anyways, this Rai Rai is a little bit smaller than the North Brunswick location but still got a good amount of people. It's across the street from the ShopRite and Best Buy. The sign isnt big but you'll find it if you drive past the best buy. I believe this is a good place for dates or having a semi large group to eat Ramen. Food: I love getting the Combo mini set because I get the best of both worlds for only a dollar or 2 more. The Shoyu ramen is to die for but it didn't fill me up. This is a savory bowl with noodles and meat ratio at the right amount. The curry rice filled me up. It was crispy and delicious with a good curry flavor that wasn't too liquidy. This place is amazing!! Very friendly service, amazing food, and decently priced for what you get. The coconut bubble tea was so delicious and refreshing, so I imagine the other flavors are also probs really good. The mochiko chicken was so crispy, flavorful and delish, especially when dipped in their spicy mayo. Wouldn't recommend the crab poppers though unless you really love imitation crab, I thought it would have something else in it like cream cheese or vegetables, but it was just deep fried imitation crab stick. Not bad, but a bit boring in my opinion. And the ramen was huge! Amazing price for the size you get, and it was sooo good. Even if you're not vegetarian I'd consider the vegetable ramen! Located in Mid State mall in East Brunswick Rai Rai does a very decent job in dishing out some interesting and tasty ramen bowels. We sampled a seafood as well as a kimchi version of their signature product. Both hit the spot. Additionally, we tried their wasabi dumplings and a fried shrimp whatever and both were tasty as well. They accommodated our request to ratchet up the heat and spices nicely. Simple operation with efficient service that leads to a quick meal for sure. Although, this is not quite at the level of the many outstanding ramen joints in Manhattan, for Jersey they do a credible job. Nice addition of the EB dining scene. read more
We came here to eat right before they were closing; I would say maybe half an hour before closing time. The staff: They are very friendly here and are also helpful with our menu and food. They did not rush us to leave when it was closer to the closing time. Ramen: I forgot which ramen I got because I just picked anything random on the menu. The noodles were cooked perfectly where it was not too soft or too hard. The pork was delicious along with the corn. Overall: This restaurant is basically the same as the one in the North Brunswick location. The service is fantastic just like the other location with friendly staff. read more
