Absolutely love this place and will be back for more ramen! The rating of this place does not lie, the food was amazing. None of their apps were oily or overwhelming. Highly recommend getting the sweet potato tempura! The restaurant is very large, there was a party of 10 seated next to us and there was still so much space! So a great place to bring friend to! The bowls were big, savory. and extremely filling! It was very hard to finish all the food, but it was a great meal for the next day and held up very well! The broth itself had an amazing umami flavor and the eggs are not made with pork fat! Most places do make it with pork, and as a person who can't have it, this made my night! Come by and remember to check in for a free slice of cheesecake!

Great food and great service. What more do you want. Ordered the tonkotsu ramen and the spicy miso ramen. Very good ramen , the noodles were cooked al dente and the broth tasted just right. Not too salty and good umami taste. Our server was great. She was very fast to get what we wanted. We were able to get 5% off by paying cash as well. Also this restaurant is quite big so it can accommodate tables up to 10 people if need be. This restaurant is BYOB as well. Great spot in NB to get ramen.

College ramen shop in downtown New Brunswick. Not comparable to the ramen place around the corner. Came here because Ramen Nagomi had a 1.5 hour wait. No wait here. This is much more casual. Given the price and vibe, it's a great place. Good portions. Slightly disappointed that the hot tea (even the genmaicha style brown rice tea) is a tea bag served in a paper cup. It was decent tea but not the same as traditional Japanese loose leaf. The udon was flavorful and yummy. The mushrooms were very good. The bathroom had mouthwash which was a unique nice touch. Service was fast and efficient.

"Karaage Chicken" aka sliced chicken katsu
    Adam K.

The "chicken karaage" is just a fried chicken cutlet that's been cut into strips. I'm all for reusing the same items across multiple dishes but calling this karaage is extremely misleading. The chashu in their chashu buns is the same as the ones they used to top their ramen. 2 paper thin slices of pork belly. It's lackluster in both the buns and the ramen. To end on a positive note their flavored Japanese iced teas are enjoyable. Lots of good ramen options in the area, sadly rakkii ramen is not one of them.

I never pick ramen - but this place is absolute Service was extremely fast and the ambiance was quiet. Some very chill vibes with the music made it a relaxing dinner

I've ordered from here a few times and their ramen is alright. The pork belly was kind of tough instead of having that melt-in-your-mouth kind of texture. I usually get the black garlic tonkotsu ramen, Osaka noodles, or sukiyaki noodles/rice bowl. The service and turn-around time is pretty quick. While it's not my favorite ramen place, I do like the other noodle options on their menu. Centrally located on George Street. Street parking and parking garages are available in the area.

Came here yesterday for a quick lunch, and was seated immediately and served very quickly. I got the black garlic tonkotsu, and it was delicious.

Came here on a Sunday for dinner and sat down right away. Service, presentation and food was great. Will definitely come again when visiting Rutgers.

Met with friends here. It was empty when we dined in. Our server was great she had a nice personality. We ordered the tonkotsu ramen and curry chicken don. The curry was ok it didnt have potatoes and looked super plain and basic. It definitely would have been better if it was chicken katsu on the curry and not karaage chicken. The ramen portion was great but the the curry chicken over rice it had such a small portion. The tonkotsu ramen the broth tasted good. The egg tasted sweet and the mushroom tasted sour. They had cute wall decors.

Spicy Miso Soup and Tonkotsu Ramen
    Melissa S.

The spicy miso soup is so good, and same thing goes for the Tonkotsu ramen! Super flavorful and good for the soul tbh. They were also super affordable, each bowl being $16 which wasn't bad at all for us. The environment was nice, and the service was respectable. Totally recommend if you're in the mood for ramen downtown

    Rob P.

Rakkii was our savior when we flew in late and wanted a decent meal. Ramen wasn't the best I've ever had but I am super picky on ramen. It probably beats 90% of the ramen in Austin, but I dunno how it'd fare in NYC proper.

The ramen is just as rich, flavorful, and comforting as the original. We came with high expectations, and both the tonkotsu and spicy miso ramen were as satisfying as ever. That creamy pork broth? Still unbeatable. The spice and depth of the miso? Well balanced. And yes, we definitely got the takoyaki again (some habits shouldn't be broken). One major plus: street parking is way easier here compared to the Bayard St location. No circling the block endlessly or needing to pay metered parking -- we found free parking right out front, which made the whole experience feel way more relaxed. Any downsides? The Easton spot is smaller, with fewer tables and a tighter layout. It feels more like a ramen bar than a sit-down social restaurant, which is fine for a quick meal or a casual date night, but maybe not ideal for bigger groups or a cozier intimate feel. That said, the staff was helpful and attentive, and the ramen quality hasn't skipped a beat. The system worked beautifully at first. Their website promised pickup in 20 minutes. I left the The Heldrich Hotel and made the ten minute walk, only to find my order already being bagged. Efficiency like that gives a person hope. Hope, as it turns out, is fragile. Back in the room, I opened the containers immediately. Spicy beef noodles with hand pulled noodles in a beef and pork broth, along with steamed pork soup dumplings that had been spoken of with reverence online. The dumplings were cold. Not warm, not cooling. Cold, like they had been waiting longer than I had. They had fused together into a single tragic mass. When I tried to separate them, the dough tore open and the soup filling spilled out into the container, abandoning its purpose. How this happened during a ten minute walk is a mystery. The more likely answer is that it did not. The noodles were at least hot. The flavor was fine. Not offensive, not memorable, just present. You eat it, and it disappears from your mind almost immediately. This is a place people seem to love, which makes the experience feel like a clerical error in the matrix. Perhaps it was an off night. We didn't enjoy it but were happy we tried it. I thought my ramen was fine, not my favorite but no complaints. My friend didn't like her ramen so she asked for hot sauce, sriracha, and soy sauce to spice it up and the server was confused at first but was fine bringing it over once we clarified what we wanted. We also didn't love the karaage chicken. All in all, we enjoyed our visit there and appreciated trying something new. They give cute little cat shaped chopstick holders. Both ramens were nice and hot but flavors were underwhelming. The pork itself was good. The noodles were just ok. The tonkotsu had heavy garlic flavor but I was expecting a heartier broth with rich pork flavored like I'm used to. The spicy miso tonkotsu had a kick but also could have been richer.
