Everything was delicious, turkey was moist, and the mashed butternut squash was divine. The apple crisp had apples so tender they melted in your mouth. The serving staff were so much fun and kind as well, shout out Carlos and his partner! The trees weren't too colorful yet but still beautiful scenery. The seats were not super comfortable but it's the price you pay for an authentic experience. The tables were surprisingly large. The train was very warm but felt better once we got moving. I recommend getting seats that are odd numbers because you'll be closer to the lake. The train goes down and back but does not turn around so if you get the lake side you'll get it on the way out and back. Also if you get table 1 you'll be served first!

I checked the tour online videos, and I still wasn't sure where this is taking us, but I didn't realize until we were riding the railroad what it was all about. All I can say, is it was unforgettable, it was beautiful, and it was something I would do again when it is Summer, even Winter when it is covered with winter wonderland!

Looking for things to do in the great Lake Winnipesaukee/Lake Winnisquam metro area, Gunstock…read moreMountain Resort popped up and I was happy to learn they have things to do all year round. As we were visiting in July, I got tickets to do the mountain coaster and it was great. Getting there was easy and there are large signs along the way to help guide you there easily. Once arrived at the huge parking lot, we locked the car and went to the ticket office where the super friendly young lady checked us in and let us know where to go. The coaster is clearly marked and when we got there, the line was very small. We had a timed ticket so we had unlimited rides for two hours. We rode the coaster a total of three times (took just over 30 minutes total) and that was plenty. It was a lot of fun and it's a thrill going through the trees so quickly...even the ride up is fun and scenic. There are a lot of staff helping on-board and off-board riders and they were all very friendly and helpful. The ride is safe for all ages and we saw little kids riding with their parents, youngsters riding alone (if they met the height requirement) and even grandparents riding it. It was a lot of fun...thrilling but not too scary. Just a reminder...you need to wear closed toe shows. Flip-flops and Crocs won't due it so bring some sneakers. There was a craft show going on while we where there so we walked around and spent some money on local food. That was nice. We also saw people on the zip lines and they all seemed to be having a blast. If we come back, I will definitely sign up for that. This was just a fun time at a nice place with friendly staff. The place feels so laid back (although safety is paramount so I don't want it to seem that wasn't taken seriously). If you come here, I think you'll be like me and leave with two things: 1) a smile on your face; and 2) a desire to come back soon.

Tues-Sat night skiing is $50...(with free rentals for those who need it). We will be going back for the night skiing. There is the Penny chairlift that does not go far up the mtn at all--it takes you a little bit up to try out some green trails. Those slopes are not very wide which is helpful for beginners in my opinion BUT my friends enjoyed it.

Going during the week sure beats the weekend crowds. Wiers is getting ready for Bike Week so handicap parking is at a premium, keep your placard visible. Staff was approachable, polite, almost everyone had a smile. Take the tour, enjoy the scenery, listen to the stories, sit back relax and have a drink/food, have a good time.

It seemed the…read moremajority of the staff we interacted with were from Romania and were extremely friendly and positive. They actually were the highlight of the cruise! We were probably all in $270 for the entire experience. We drove an hour from Ossipee for this cruise. Regrettably, I can say I would never do it again. I will take that money and drive the hour and a half to the Capital Grille in Salem, New Hampshire! On the outset, this looked like a good way to spend our 21st wedding anniversary. Normally we love dinner cruises! This one left a sour taste in our mouths. Be warned, no air-conditioning. Be warned, though it is a buffet it was extremely limited. For some reason, I had an expectation of a green salad, maybe a slaw, a couple choices of meats, a couple choices of vegetables, and maybe a starch or two. This was not. This was a wait in line with your plate for bread rolls, two different types of apple salad, dried out Restaurant pack turkey breast, a bucket of gravy, dried out roasted vegetable raviolis, dressing, and sautéd green beans. The green beans were delicious. As long as you had gravy, the turkey wasn't too bad. I guess we were lucky that they had gravy when we went through as that seemed to be a major complaint later on. Apparently they ran out and many did not get any. BTW, we paid $10 extra per person to go through that buffet early and get a watered down warm gin drink as an arrival cocktail. There's no table service in the dining room! If you want anything to drink, you must go to the bar. There seemed to be coffee and water gratis. You have no idea what they have at the bar as there is no bar menus on the tables! I had to take a picture and text it to my wife so she could make a decision on what she wanted. And it was hot! Did I mention that there's no air-conditioning? That was rhetorical as I know I did. I was actually over this experience 10 minutes into it but it was too late to escape. I have zero recollection of any safety brief as to where the life vests were or any abandoned ship stations were! Not sure if that's a requirement here in New Hampshire, but it is almost everywhere I've ever been. I will reiterate the fact that the Romanian workers were great! I will reiterate that it was very warm with no air-conditioning. Again, if you want a great experience, take your money and time and go to Capital Grille! My wife and I have chalked this up as an experience.

The place was amazing, very beautiful and views for days! The staff were very nice and informative…read more Now the not so good things: 1. It was very hot the day and you are forced immediately off the trolley to sit in a glassed in pouch that was 112 degrees for 20 minutes, which sets the tone of the experience in a negative way. You view the mansion hot and sweaty, which stinks (Pun intended). Even if it wasn't hot, people should have the option to skip the video. 2. The trolly is supposed to cycle every 15 minutes (trolly even said it on the way up). We waited over 30 minutes. 3. Some guests were chastised for things that could have been easily avoided by putting up signs. If you don't want people doing things which seem perfectly acceptable to do, put a sing up or put it at the end of your 20 minute video. I think the guests who were talked down too felt embarrased and it was unnecessary. 4. When you drive up to the attraction, there is parking, by the cafe. We parked, got out, and had to go up to some people working in the park to find that we had to continue driving up the mountain to get to the carriage house. Are signs that expensive? "Keep driving to see Castle In The Clouds" or "This way to see Castle in the Clouds".
