    Outdoor pizza oven

Hard to decide how to rate this place because I have never been to one like it before. Imagine you are on a backpacking trip and looking for a place to stop for the night. All of a sudden you come into a clearing with a few tables and chairs, a unique pizza oven under a roof and a small building. Food is served on paper plates with wooden utensils. We were visiting my daughter who is very familiar with this place and she arranged for us to have a thin crust, 8 slice pizza and a salad to share with 4 of us. Both were very good and just the right for the amount of food for our situation. Do not expect anything fancy. This is a picnic in the woods complete with bugs and rain if the weather turns bad. The food and the service will be good and often there is entertainment. The environment will either seem charming or be much too rustic for some. We enjoyed the surroundings and the friendly people.

Very unique spot with an amazing location, good music & delicious food. A pizza oven in the woods?! Come on now.. My husband & I hiked here from the Binnewater Kiln parking lot in Rosendale. I think is was about 2.5 miles each way. We enjoyed lemonade, curry pizza and a freshly made salad. There was an acoustic guitar player preforming and a variety of people stopping buy either on horseback, bike or on foot. I really enjoyed this place and look forward to going back!

cool place to stop by when you're biking! Great set up with seats and live music. Rose lemonade is so good! Pizza's also great to share with friends. A bit pricey overall but still good. Get some rest before you go on!

A review in one word....MAGICAL. My boyfriend and I went on a bike ride today and came across the most adorable cafe in the middle of the woods. We were so surprised, but even more excited when we saw the menu. I ordered a bunch of things and everything was excellent. My boyfriend ordered the pizza and he said it was the best pizza he's ever had. The brick oven is amazing. The owners Brian and Tara were so personable and friendly. Tara explained how the cafe came about. What a great and interesting story. Please do yourself a favor and visit this cafe. We will be back as this will fast become a favorite of ours. Smiles, Love and light Tonya and Joe.

Actual wood fired oven in the middle of the woods + Spectacular and tasty pizza is an awesome find! The pizza Beats any hipster spot in BK or overhyped Manhattan eatery. The people running the place- Kara and Simon - are super nice, as well as the localsZ We also had great coffee. Definitely give this place a try if you are in the area. These small business owners are worthy of your support...and the pizza was damn good - for reals. They also sell empanadas, salads and home baked goods and teas and lemonade ...we will be back to try next time

Ask the Community - Rail Trail Cafe

How close can you get if you drive? I use a walker and need to get closer if possible. Is the road dirt, gravel?

Road is gravel as well as the walk from the parking area to where you sit down. I would guess it's about 100 feet with a slight uphill.

After dinner we were looking for a decent bar to enjoy a quick drink before heading home. This place surpassed our expectations by a mile. Neon lights, edgy signs and the aroma of incense draw you in. The bar keeper greets you under the disco ball. You take a look around, cool clothes and even better decor. The bar is set up with mint infused water and glasses. I love the attention to detail, and anticipation of customer needs. After talking to the bartender; Thomas about their cocktail options, I settled on a draft IPA, although I had my eye on their Filthy Twisted Martini. Thomas described it as breaking all the trad martini rules and it sounded delicious, but he let me know it did have a bit of spice. I couldn't tolerate anymore spice so I decided to try that one another time. My Wife ordered their botanical lemonade, she loved it, describing it as the best lemonade she ever had. Y'all!! It's delicious, a must try, with the option to have it with or without alcohol. We decided to sit on their rooftop patio, people watching and enjoying the cool summer evening. Bathrooms were super clean. Parking on the street. This place will be on my mind until the next time I'm there. Signed, The Happy Hour Huntress

After we walked in one of the waitresses informed us that we can sit wherever we want. I instantly felt like I was inconveniencing her with my presence by the way she said it. Didn't take it personal just yet. What appeared to be the hostess came over a few minutes after we sat down and handed us menus that were very dirty. I looked at my husband and said I am ready to walk out of this place bc I am starving and it looks like they are too short staffed right now which is understandably out of a businesses control sometimes. But wait, instead of the waitress coming to our table to bring water or ask us if we would like a drink, she went to another table with a man and a child that she obviously knew well, and started eating their french fries and talking. That's when we decided to leave and spend our money elsewhere. So unprofessional. That couldn't wait? I hate to leave a review like this, but if I was the owner of this business, I would not want someone like that working for me, representing what seems to be a great place.

They have a short tap list on a chalk board over the bar area but a massive bottle and can list. Truly a beer enthusiast paradise. Prices vary but pretty much run $6-$9 per beer.
