Best burger and fries in Ulster county!!! I wasn't expecting much from a menu that was heavily vegetarian influenced, but I took a chance and ordered a burger takeout platter. I was surprised! It's been a while since I had a delicious, cooked to perfection, gourmet style, hearty 1/2 lb. Hamburger, choice meat, on a delicious bun. Yes, Quality meat. Every bite was an absolute delight. And unlike the bland, Costco bulk fries most restaurants serve, the fries at Provisions are hand cut and they season them to perfection. And a second big takeout (sorry for the pun), the price was extremely reasonable (in these inflationary times). At current prices, I would have paid the same as MacDonalds. Food at a wedding is a funny thing. Everyone wants good food at their wedding, but often times in the maelstrom of chaos that is the actual day most people simply recall it as "pretty good". Provisions does better. Emily, Anthony, and their team worked with us to create our dream menu while keeping in our modest budget. They understood the vibe and energy we were aiming for in our wedding. We wanted a stationed buffet, where guests could sample multiple dishes instead of just having one. They worked with us and crafted options that ensured that every guest had multiple options to choose from. We had an absolutely amazing tasting where we cleaned our plates entirely During the planning phase, Emily was a super clear and effective communicator. We knew exactly what we needed to get to her and when, and if she needed something from us there was no confusion about that. On the day of our wedding the Provisions team executed everything perfectly. So many guests came up to us loving both the quality of the food and variety of it. Make sure you try their pulled pork and balsamic chicken, both of those were huge hits! If we ever have another event that we need catering fore, we're definitely going to see if provision can do it. I wouldn't be like "omg you have to try this place when you're in Woodstock" but it's definitely a solid and soothing spot for great paninis. I randomly stopped in to pick up some lunch today. I was very impressed by the burger. The focaccia bun was amazing. The burger was cooked perfectly and the patty tasted very fresh and had a great flavor to it. The special sauce on the burger was delicious. The burger came in a cute box with a side of fries that were seasoned perfectly. So lucky to have this place around the corner from my house. Can't wait to try more of the sandwiches on the menu. Cute little sandwich shop in Woodstock. The guy who took my order picked his ear, then touched his face. Thank the lord he wasn't making my sandwich or I probably wouldn't have eaten it. I asked for a coke and he started cutting cake, I asked him what he was doing and that I asked for a coke. He must be one of those that's been in Woodstock a little too long. My group of friends have been coming here on our annual Catskills trip for the past 3 years since Emily was at the shop! We are so happy for her that she turned an intimate sandwich shop into a beautiful restaurant & bar. It blows my mind that she was able to do that! AMAZING. Really shows that when you have a dream & a passion, you can do ANYTHING! I got the goat cheese & house made jam in the gluten free wrap with a side of fries & my 3 other friends got the O'Henry with sides of fries (their favorite, they literally talk about it ALL year until the next time we come!) My wrap was light & FULL of goat cheese & the jam was a beautiful pair for the goat cheese. If you're obsessed with goat cheese like I am, THIS is the sandwich for you. I REALLY loved this & I'm probably going to crave it until next year LOL! The fries were DELICIOUS & I'm now obsessed. The siracha aioli was great to dip the fries in! Provisions is one of the best mom and pop sandwich/catering establishments in the Hudson Valley! Emily and Anthony are some of the most amazing kind hearted. Selfless people I have ever met. Emily and Antony started the table of Woodstock a few years back and if you don't know what that is it is a program that is meant for the needy and they make food for hundreds of families every week to help the struggling families! They also are very involved in the community as well as the school system. Back to the food their ingredients are all locally sourced farm fresh, and their bread is homemade daily, Anthony is an amazing cook and he makes top-notch food at a very fair price. Emily is an amazing cook as well and she is one of the most hardest working people I know and she does it with a smile on her face every day day in and day out, and she does it for the love of her community! If I could live off of Provisions food alone, I would do it in a heartbeat that's how good their food is, I've been getting their food now for almost a decade, and I can honestly say they are very very very consistent when it comes to the quality taste and over all appearance of their food it is one of the most consistent establishments out there! I highly recommend that you stop in to the location and Boiceville to give their tasty sandwiches a try. She also makes some of the most amazing chocolate chip peanut butter cookies I've ever tasted in my entire life other than sandwiches. They have salads, other baked goods as well as some dessert treats. Now that the pandemic has winding down, they are offering dine in seating again, which is limited due to the space. Let me reiterate, how good and consistent. Their food is day in and day out all of their sandwiches. Taste as amazing as they did almost 10 years ago. If you don't know which one to try the Mac attack burger is my go to as well as Honey Boo Boo, The Hedonist, O'Henry, Annie Oakley, Chicken Little, and The Bird Is The Word! The McDreamy hummus wrap and the Chicken Little sandwich were DELICIOUS, and the owners were very personable. They gave us our food very quickly, and they catered to our dietary needs. We gave this place two stars for the homemade chicken soup. The soup was delicious. However, we did not like our sandwiches. The meatloaf sandwich had more mayonnaise than actual meatloaf. The bread was cold and didn't taste fresh. The other sandwich we ordered was the O'Henry. That sandwich was a sloppy mess. It was impossible even to hold it. The restaurant also had annoying flies making it difficult to eat or have a conversation. The worst part of the meal was finding a hair in the fries. That ultimately turned us off from this place. So happy that I listened to my coworkers when it came time to planning a retirement luncheon this past June. We ended up choosing the Baja Style Taco Buffet option and it was delicious. We were able to meet the needs to many dietary restrictions and needs and everyone was happy. There were enough left overs to heat up the next day. Emily was so accommodating and easy to work with. We ended up deciding to also cater our wedding reception in July with Provisions. All of the food received rave reviews! The pulled pork was mouth watering, the chicken parmesan was gone in seconds, and the mac and cheese was was a hit with everyone. I will definitely be using Provisions again for any catering needs! Best breakfast sandwich ever! Did you hear that? BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICH EVER!! If you like meat, pork to be exact, this place might blow your mind. My partner had the sausage, egg and cheese and had to take pics of the sausage patty to send to his brother, who is a chef. The meat is grass-fed and all made in-house. As a vegetarian, that didn't impress me much. What did impress me was the simple farm fresh egg (the yolk was so velvety), cheese, tomato and arugula on homemade focaccia. That focaccia! Like eating a pillow, and I mean that in the best possible way! This sandwich had me at first bite. Hell, it had me at the wrapper - butcher shop paper held together with a rubber band. It's so nondescript inside that I was a little worried before I got my sandwich. Could all these yelp reviews and verbal recommendations I received really be true? I think I was expecting the inside to be less butcher shop and more deli but quickly got past the pig-friendly (unfriendly?) environment and focused on the baked goods behind glass and some great art on the walls. The husband and I try to take a trip every weekend to a new lunch dining destination in Ulster County. After so many positive reviews on Ulster Eateries Unfiltered, Provisions was last weekend's trip. The storefront is unassuming but do NOT let that deter you from this amazing culinary experience. The space itself is quite small (two 4 tops and two 2 tops) and most people we saw were taking out, but it's so personal with pictures of Emily and Anthony and family members and reviews. Almost everything they offer is homemade, from the meat to the sides to the sauces. We both ordered reubens. I am not normally a fan of focaccia but it was an incredible vessel to stuff that home cured/roasted probably some of the best tasting pastrami I have ever had in my life into my pie hole. They were out of potato salad...which was actually a good thing because we got the fries. You know those fries that you hear about that are perfectly crispy on the outside and nice and yummy on the inside? Well here they are. We ate so many of them we had to take 1/2 of our sandwiches home. I also got a cheddar/chive/bacon biscuit to take. I warmed that bad boy up the next morning and put an egg on it and...oh...my..dog! Trust me, take the drive out of town, head west on 28 (it's all of 25 minutes people!) and have a fantastic meal with incredibly lovely people. read more

They make great food in their restaurant, have a good variety of sandwiches, panninis, salads and more...all that we've tried have been delicious. They also do catering, and we were pleased to try their Thanksgiving Dinner takeout this year. The meals were bountiful and delicious, and we will happily order from them again next year. Came to Woodstock for the weekend from NYC and was craving a yummy sandwich. Looked on Yelp and Provisions was the only place to have 5 stars so my husband and I checked it out. WHAT A BLESSING this place is! From the moment we walked in Lilliana, the 9-year old behind the register greeted us and was clearly running things. She was awesome! We ordered two sandwiches and I must say the O'Henry was heaven in my mouth. DELICIOUS! I gave my husband a bite and he ordered one to go for our car ride back home. While the sandwiches were out of this world, what really stood out to me about Provisions was the staff. Co-owners Emily and Anthony were so warm and welcoming. They are Woodstock locals and even have a Pay It Forward board to support folks who are hungry but can't afford a sandwich. What thoughtful community members! Great restaurant run by even better people. Emily and Anthony are the most kind and sweetest people you will come across. The food is always excellent, and their menu always has different new creations that just keep getting better and better. The restaurant is great to come and hang out any day of the week especially with their new pool table! The entire staff is wonderful, welcoming and always accommodating to eveyone's needs. The bar manager Matt is a true diamond in the rough who is always happy to have a great conversation with you. It's hard to pick out a favorite sandwich but you can't go wrong with the Bat Outta Hell (with turkey), Old Skewl, or the Frank and Jesse James sandwiches all of which are delightful. Provider of tasty happiness. At first I came here for my afternoon-slump-coffee and snacks. The coffee was always great. The Beef Jerky was delicious (why yes, it did go with coffee after all). It was a perfect mix of salty and sweet flavor in thin strips. They were always out when I returned so if you see it, get it! The Brownies were very moist with a delicate shell outside and super gooey inside, but not uncooked gooey, "well-meaned" gooey! Then I went back for Chocolate Chip Cookies several times. These cookies are large and in charge in satisfaction! NO NUTS! And crispy on the outside and "well-meaned" softness on the inside with the perfect amount of chocolate chips for each bite. Sandwiches. Just try all of them. I tried the Tuna. It was big and good, served on focaccia bread, stuffed with plenty of mayo based tuna salad, lettuce and onion. There wasn't any sharing that went on with my friend's sandwich but I do know that her Vegetarian sandwich included goat cheese and it got devoured before we even made it to the swimming hole down the street. Lastly, the fabulous one, the chef/owner (I think), bless her! She sold us this giant bag of homemade focaccia bread at the end of the day for a great price. She really saved us because everything closes so frickin early in Woodstock! Another note: there is only one small table inside and a bench. This deli is really geared for take-out. Conveniently, the creek is close by with plenty of flat rock that can become a dining area as long as the weather is right. read more

My sister and I stopped in for lunch here yesterday and weren't sure what to expect because it's right off the golf course. The view was beautiful, it wasn't too crowded and the waitress was very sweet. Emily and her gang create hand crafted sandwiches for every palate using local fresh ingredients, grass fed local meats and a whole lotta heaps of love. Every bite of food I've ever consumed from this joint has been ultimately heavenly, and I had some pork belly sandwich some months back that remains indelible in my mind from first bite to last. On top of all of that, Provisions does so much good for the community. They feed a lot of people for free, man that board is always poppin. We had lunch at the golf course restaurant. We both wish they had weekend dinner service as the food was terrific! I had the Reuben Reuben and my husband had the burger. Fries were sublime, potato salad delicious but lacked salt. The room overlooking the stream is a vast improvement over some previous incarnations but the chairs, though quite comfortable, are ugly and look like catering hall furniture. The only downside to the experience was the service. Our waitperson was pleasant enough but was inattentive and we sat w/ dirty plates for about 10 minutes. We came for lunch. Honestly this was the best sandwich I ever had. I had focaccia with mozzarella, garlic, balsamic vinegar and tomatoes. I can't remember what the name of it was. My husband had the Annie Oakley. He had the fries-I had the slaw. We also had fried zucchini appetizer. It was a great lunch! I could only eat half my sandwich and the same for my husband. The view is beautiful we sat right next to the river inside. Looked like a really nice place to eat outside in nice weather. The waitress was extremely nice and very attentive. The bar looked cool but we sat in the restaurant. We actually walked there from Tinker Street and it was a quick walk. However, they do have plenty of parking. We stopped in here about a month ago while we were in Woodstock and had a sandwich experience so incredible that I haven't stopped thinking about it since. I am still reaching to find the words to describe how good it was. We had the O'Henry (chicken) panini and the Woodstock Dip (roast beef). The chicken was melt in your mouth tender and juicy, like nothing I've ever tasted before on a sandwich. The roast beef was literally a revelation...I try roast beef everywhere I go and have never had anything like this before. It's thick cut, tender and bursting with flavor. Last but not least, the house-made foccacia bread the sandwiches come on is to die for...I don't even have the words to describe it. If you are a bread lover, this is the place to go get a sandwich. All the ingredients are top quality and everything is lovingly prepared with super attention given to quality, flavor and sustainability to boot. What's not to adore? Oh my god the sandwiches here are so superb! I had the Bird is the Word chicken sandwich which was good and the Rueben which was amazing! It was better than Ruebens I've had at the famous delis in NYC and Philly. The pastrami was so fresh and tender my taste buds were dancing. 99% of the food is made in house. They pickle their own pickles and cabbage, bake their own bread, and the meat is fresh and local. I highly recommend the sandwiches here, however call ahead otherwise expect a wait.
