This is absolutely a hidden gem nail salon I found after trying many others, and the experience is amazing. The salon is clean and cozy with gentle aromatherapy, without any pungent smell from low-quality nail gel. All tools are disinfected for each customer, which is very reassuring. I brought a complicated blended design picture, and the manicurist has great taste, patiently adjusting colors and details with me, making the finished product almost identical to the reference. Absolutely fantastic experience! I've been there twice now, and both times was blown away by the quality care I received. My mom, my aunt, my grandma, and my best friends and I went to get our nails done over the weekend and every single one of us left utterly amazed by the salon. It's clean, it has a fantastic energy, and the people are so nice. They provided me with a free bottled water and even brought it over to me after I accidentally forgot it at the table. I got builder gel nails with tips, and the woman doing my nails was so thorough she was even checking to make sure they were all the same length! Though I've only gotten gel nails with tips, as that's my usual manicure, I can also say with certainty that their dip manicures are incredible (that's what my mom got) and their basic mani-pedi is also a treat (that's what my grandma got)! The rest of us all got gel nails with tips and we are each so happy with our results! I cannot find a single flaw in my nails, and I am so excited to go back to this salon again! I am 100% making this my regular place to get my nails done! They do everything right. They take the time to clean up cuticles, they use cuticle oil, they lotion and rub your hands, and they even give you a shoulder massage at the end, which is fantastic. I had been going to another local nail salon for a number of years. I arrived for my appointment with the technician I really like (the owner's mother, actually) and was told that she took another customer because I didn't show up. Not true, I was actually a few minutes early for my appointment. However, the owner had written it in his book wrong. He insisted it was me who was wrong. Bad move. Well, I knew that was untrue because I had repeated the appointment time 3x when I called to book the time. And even if I WAS wrong (I wasn't), he should have demonstrated good customer service and sucked it up. Instead, someone else did my pedicure. I share this with you so that you will appreciate why I went back to Rain Nails which I used to go to before the nail salon was sold. I should also mention that this 'old' place raised their prices considerably after COVID-19. I have been to the 'new' Rain Nail three times now. Sure, it's not as fancy as the 'old' salon but it's clean, they honor my appointment time, the people are friendly, and the gals who do my ANC and pedicure do a very good job. Plus it's a good $10 less than the 'old' place. I recommend that you give them a try! read more

I've had anc for a long time and came here on a whim instead of my usual place (on my sisters insistence) and my nail broke IMMEDIATELY upon leaving. Definitely disappointed. I am also use to being asked to tip in cash, so I always make sure I have enough just for tip. But the manager scolded me for paying on a card even though I was tipping in cash. The woman who was doing my pedicure continuously caused me pain. I told her politely three times to lighten up the technique. The end of the massage she started to punch my leg and I told her to stop it. I was so mad. I feel like I shouldn't have paid for the pedicure but I didn't want to make a scene. Worst service I have ever received. I booked an appointment to get acrylics removed, gel set with one tip for a nail that was broken and a pedicure. They booked the appointment and when I came in and started on my nails then told me they did not have time to do any of the services. Outrageously priced for the service provided. I asked for the same pedicure for both of my daughters. One daughter received great service, the other I don't think they spent 5 minutes on in total and frankly that's being generous. They did absolutely nothing other than paint her toes and the girl ran back to do the manicure she was working on. Upon paying I was told that each color (regular polish, not gel or anything fancy) was $5 extra. My one had picked out 3 and the other 2 colors. Other than unscrewing a different bottle top, there is nothing required. $15 for that. Then they wanted the smallest flower on a nail. $5 a piece for that. I wouldn't have been so upset if they had at least done a pedicure on my one kiddo. But to paint her nails and upcharge a ridiculous amount. You have lost a long time customer. Crazy. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. My husband and I stopped in for quick basic manicures. They asked if we had an appointment I said no. They asked what service we wanted I said basic manicures so they said the could take us. I wash my hands and sit and the nail technician proceeds to shape my very short/nonexistent nails. I don't keep nails due to my profession but I wanted to clean up my cuticles and nail bed. She then barely pushes back my overgrown cuticles without applying any type of cuticle softener, then snips away cuticle. At this time a woman walks in with a 5pm appointment. We have been there 5 minutes. She then tells me wash my hands and as I walk back she is getting lotion ready to put on my hands?!!!! I'm like uhhmmm what, your not gonna buff my nails...that was the worst "rush them out" manicure I have received in ALL my life. To add insult to literal injury, the young girl who was doing my husband's nails cut his pinky finger..."Deep" and acted as though she didn't know what to do. I got my nails done for the first time here today, they had to start from scratch - taking off acrylics that were botched at city nail & spa, redoing tips (almond shape which takes precision) and ANC dip and holy cow they look amazing. The man who did my nails (I'm sorry I can't spell your name!) took two whole hours to fix the hot mess that was my nails. Free beverage & massages included. My nails are fierce. Worst pedicure I have ever had... rushed thru in maybe 15 minutes. The initial foot bath was longer than the entire service.

I have to be honest I have been going for months. I went in today and was never more disappointed. I was cut snd scraped repeatedly. I asked for ombré, please don't ask them for that if you choose to go, it was awful. I am saddened that I won't return because until today I thought Kelly was amazing. IF I COULD LEAVE 0 STARS I WOULD!!! it took 3 different nail techs to get my nails done, AND they still didn't come close to the outcome we discussed. the customer service these women have is the worst. they were the rudest people I have ever met, and messed up my nails from beginning to end. after talking to them about my design, they had agreed and had no problem. from removing my old ANC (she almost pulled my actual nail off), to cutting my nails down (she cut the skin off the tips), to filling my new ANC (cut my cuticle with the file 4 different times), everything was a DISASTER. don't let me forget no cuticle care at all!!! my nails were not taken care of AT ALL. even the aftercare wasn't great since she dipped my hands into hot wax 5x after giving me fresh cuts on my cuticles. read more

Terrible service, my sister and I went last night for manicures and pedicures, we were told 15/20 mins 30 mins later we were set up for a pedicure only to wait another 30 mins for them to come over to start the pedicure. I had to ask for warm water because my feet were cold at that point. As for the French manicure it's for sure the worst one I've ever had, I showered this morning and this is what happened, not worth your time or money! I even call prior and expressed all my concerns and assured I would be very happy. Open arrival I again asked all my concerns even stated if it's a problem that's ok I understand and again was told I would be very happy. Well let just say I ALWAYS get ANC and I left with all my natural nails cut OFF I asked for a trim not cut off completely and was so mad I even expressed that's extremely short not what I asked for which I was ignored. If you truly want a miserable nail salon experience, then Rain nails in Saratoga springs ny is the place for you. It doesn't matter if you've got an appointment, you're gonna wait, and wait, and wait before you actually get your manicure. One person will start the process, while burning you as much as possible with the dremel, they wrap your nails, and they go off to do whatever. Then you sit and wait ohhhhh 45 minutes with acetone on your fingers before some else could be bothered to come over, because the person who starts you is now off doing a pedicure . Sooooo...... No one else is coming to help me and I'm starting to get really pissed off by now and I am not hiding that fact. So the person who's doing my friends nails, stops working on my friend and starts removing the cotton balls and acetone from me and cleans up my nails, and then goes back to finish my friend. Then someone else finally comes over to me to do my shaping and dip. Well.....this is where it all went from bad to worse. My nails are natural and I keep them round shape. This person filed my nails into points and asked me if I liked them. NOPE!!! I keep my nails round I said and pointed to a picture on her station that had nail shapes. So she then flattened them out and made them square. I said OMG not square, ROUND.I then picked up the card at her station with illustrations of nail shapes and pointed again and said ROUND!. Finally she shaped my nails round and started the dipping. I had wanted an ombre manicure and this woman had absolutely no idea what she was doing, she was making a horrible mess on my nails so I told her to stop and just give me a solid color. It was a nightmare. All over my cuticles, nails and halfway down my fingers I had so much ANC powder and cotton stuck to me. It was a hot mess. When it was time to smooth down the ANC with dremel she had the wrong bit on it and started removing the manicure she just put on. Luckily her coworker said something before she wrecked all my nails and she went and got the right tool and then she had to fix the nail she messed up. When manicure was finished I could see my natural nails thru the ANC and I had so much residue and cotton stuck to me. It looked horrible. This is the worst manicure service I've gotten and will not be returning to Rain nails. I paid for my service, but did not tip. read more
