After my last manicure with Mai, my nails have never been so healthy and long before. She is so meticulous with not only the quality of her work, but also with ensuring the health of your nails, and I shows in the strength of my nail and the retention of her gel/acrylic work. After my nightmare of an experience at a previous salon, Mai is quite honestly my hero. Throughout the entire service, she is double and triple checking the quality of her work, she obviously has such a passion for what she does. This time at the salon, I also got a pedicure. I haven't had one in quite a while (like a good two years) so Mai had her work cut out for her. She did such an amazing job. My skin hasn't been this soft in a long time! I decided at the last minute on a Sunday morning that I wanted a pedicure so I called and was told they could take me when I got there! Took about five minutes to get a pedicure chair, which gave me just enough time to pick out a color (they have probably 100 options each for ANC and gel). I chose the Deluxe pedicure and Henry was my technician. He was absolutely lovely and gave one of the best foot massages I've probably ever had. He was meticulous with my cuticles, trimming my nails, and applying the gel polish. I left incredibly happy and will definitely be back for more services.

Like the other reviews said, they do use a "cheese grater" type contraption to remove the calluses, which was fine with me bc I have one exactly like it (but it's in a box somewhere traveling across the country). I asked the lady to be gentle because I have VERY sensitive feet. She spent nearly 20 minutes making sure my feet were baby butt soft!! I didn't catch her name but she did amazing. I should have taken a "before" photo of my heels...seriously, she was that good. Price was ehh...$30 for a fairly basic pedicure but she didn't charge me more for the extra extra time she spent on my heels, so it evens out. One semi-downfall, they didn't use a brush/polish remover to clean up the polish on my skin, she just used her nail. But overall, if that's all I can ding them for, it's not a bad place to go at all. I had requested an acrylic full set in my appointment and found out later that we were actually applying builder gel. I'm not sure on the specific differences between acrylic and builder gel, but I was told by a previous nail technician that the acrylic is more long lasting and tough, which I prefer because I'm pretty hard on my hands. Again, maybe the way that the builder gel was applied mimics the acrylic, but the lack of clarity on my end is a little frustrating as I've been to salons that walk-through what exactly is being applied, and also have sisters that provide acrylic and builder gel nail services in another state. The application itself is rather thick and a little lumpy on some nails, which I didn't notice until after I left . Definitely on me for not saying something while I was there to have them try to fix it. I also had nail tips applied, not a fan of the opaque color of the tip underneath as I don't think it mimics a natural nail. If I go here again, I think I'll request a different tip type. The salon vibe and interior is pretty standard. Booking an appointment was a little confusing, I booked an appointment at B&T salon in Ballston Spa but was told via Facebook message from the business to go to Le Nails instead as the owner spends more time there than at the one in Ballston Spa. Maybe they have strong suits in other services at the salon, but my acrylic full set appointment was just meh.
