Matty did a lovely job on my nails today! I came in for my first time here this morning and got a spa manicure with gel polish and nail art... I wanted my adorable kitties on my nails and Matty really understood the assignment!! She does great nail art, was also very pleasant to talk to and made my experience a relaxing one! I also love that upon check in I was offered water, coffee or tea and a fresh hot towel for my hands.. only things that could have made the experience better would have been to be offered a glass of wine, a heated neck wrap and a foot soak LOL.. I'd come in early and pay extra to get all of that while waiting to be brought back for my scheduled services so take note, Rain Salon & Spa! In conclusion, It was a fabulous mani and I'd definitely come back. I plan to visit their Garden City location at some point as well as there are some additional services offered there. read more

Unhappy with hair and Manager Mechele not refunding money for a horrible due job. Made me come and allow them to fix something that almost impossible to fix after depositing dark color on my roots, the fix was temporary and mostly washed out after one week. Expensive for the quality. Bought many of their expensive products so hair could improve, they obviously didn't appreciate that either as left the looking bad. read more

Additional charge after being quoted how much a service will cost only to be charged 23% more. Ever since I've been seeing her, I always receive compliments on my hair. I don't want anyone else to cut or color my hair now, except for Kylie. Not only is she great at what she does, but she also has a great personality. Entering Rain Salon and Spa is a wonderful experience every time. From the moment you walk through the door, the staff is really kind and helpful. I recently called them, and Tay helped me; she went above and beyond. Every interaction I've had has been a 10 out of 10. I had not had a pedicure in SIX MONTHS. I am not ashamed to admit this since it's Covid-19 shutdown in California. But I came to see my brother and his wife and kids in Boise over Labor Day weekend. And I needed a pedicure. BADLY. I was fortunate to get an appointment at Rain Salon & Spa, which also has a salon, doing haircuts and other spa services. My sister in law Tracy drove me here since her friend who is quite picky recommenced them. We entered and was treated to a socially distanced steam towel and hand sanitizer (which was great because no matter what I needed, I don't need Covid) and was graciously offered a beverage. We were seated and met the wonderful Natalie, my nail technician who was FABULOUS. The pedicure was amazing and she didn't even make me feel like it's been 6 months. The service was efficient and very professionally done. I love the work and the atmosphere. The smell of Rosemary-Mint was wonderful and reminded me of Quail Lodge in Carmel, Ca Monterey Peninsula (home of Pebble Beach Golf Course). Relaxing and a true spa experience for such a convenience and without the $$$$ prices. I was so pleased with the service and their kindness, I had to write a review and encourage everyone (since I'm sure they're guy friendly too) to give them a try. This review is a month over due! First, love the complimentary warm towels they offer upon walking in! Got a hair cut here from Eli and she was so sweet and did an amazing job. We did a huge cut and I couldn't be anymore happier. The only downside was no refills on the wine, never had an issue like that at any other salon. This place is top notch amazing! If you're looking for a high end spa, this is the place! No detail was left out on my first experience. Upon arrival I was greeted by friendly staff and offered a hot towel and tea or water to drink. The hot towel was very nice to clean my hands. I was then escorted to a waiting area where I completed some medical forms on an iPad. I loved how professional everyone looked! My esthetician greeted me and walked me back. I was offered a steam sauna hot shower complimentary after my facial but I declined. It was nice to be offered that though! The back area was dimly lit and beautiful! My esthetician Makayla was fantastic! My facial came with a neck, shoulder and foot massage. I rebooked and will definitely be back. This place is worth the cost! Honestly it was 100% better than that one place in Eagle by the River. I am originally from CA so I've experienced quite a few spa facials in my time but this place is one of the best I've had in Idaho! Go book a facial, you won't be disappointed! read more

After 3 years, I'm done with this place. Their prices have gradually increased to ridiculous levels and they've recently change their cancellation policy to 48 hours or they charge you 50%. Impractical if you you have employment situations, illness, or kids. I have found a much better salon that is more flexible and treats their longer term clients with more respect. Avoid this business. I bought a gift for my wife a cut and color. They gave her "rising talent" which is code for inexperienced stylist. She told her she didn't want it too short as she had a bad experience before and wanted shoulder length. She got chopped to her ears. The color was non-existent and she came home crying. The stylist told her try it out for a bit and come back if you don't like it. She didn't tell her it needed to be 7 days. I called the following week to resolve it. The person set an appointment to fix it, didn't say I would be charged to fix it. The $235 cut color hack job was added to another $107. I talked to Brianna the manager who wasn't willing to do anything, neither was the owner. Now I see what the other poor reviews meant, what a nightmare, I wish I had never sent my wife here. Beware of having Cameron for a haircut. Unbelievably horrible. I could have given a monkey scissors and gotten a better haircut. I was super excited to get my hair done for my birthday and it ended up being a terrible experience. In all the times I've gotten my hair done, this was the worst. My stylist did not listen to what I was asking for in terms of color and cut. She was very nice but failed miserably on execution. I stressed what color I was going for and my hair was essentially the same color as it was before she "colored" it. The cut was the worst cut I have ever had. She butchered my hair. Bad. I asked for a straight cut, and she gave me layers near the end...but only on one side. The entire cut was uneven. I had several long strands all over my head and some extremely short ones as well. She was supposedly a master stylist, having worked there for 12 years. I expected better, especially for the price. I told her several times throughout the process that it wasn't what I asked for. She assured me that I could come back and she could do more to my hair. The cut couldn't really be fixed without going shorter and it is already as short as I was willing to go. I left very upset and cheated. I told them I wanted a refund and they stressed that they do not offer refunds but that I could come back and have the same lady fix it. I didn't feel comfortable doing that at all! They wanted someone else to do it and I still didn't feel comfortable. I just wanted my money back. I sent them pictures on fb of how awful my hair was but they still insisted I go in..which again I did NOT feel comfortable doing. I did not receive the service I paid for. There is absolutely NO excuse for this. It was an expensive lesson. I do not recommend Rain Salon & Spa at all! read more

Saw Randi for a massage package and it she was absolutely wonderful. Although we got a late start (they only have one dressing room and it was occupied while I was waiting to go in) she tacked on an extra fifteen minutes to the treatment to make up for lost time. Everything from the oil journey and scalp massage to her attention to detail in my tense shoulders was amazing. She was very sweet and made sure I was comfortable the entire.
