Every time I go here it is excellent. The lunch specials are delicious and priced great. The teriyaki chicken is what I usually get for supper, and the red curry chicken is what I order for lunch. I usually get it medium-hot and it is perfectly spicy. The crispy spring rolls are also a must. Great service as well. read more

This was the first, and most likely the last time I'll visit Rain. The atmosphere was good, service was excellent, but I was very unimpressed with the food. We went for lunch and our table got two sushi rolls, a Thai curry plate, and 2 plates of stir fry noodles. The sushi was sub par and the curry was not impressive at all. Overall, the taste of the food was just unimpressive, and for the price point, I'd rather go somewhere like Kumo and get more bang for my buck. read more

The best veggie tempura I've ever had. Should be called katmandu because it's a mountain. Chicken satay is out of the world. Pad pik something with beef is a wonderful main course. The panang with seafood is as well. The service could have been horrible and I'd still go back, but fortunately our waitress was wonderful. read more

Love both the sushi/sashimi and the Thai items on the menu. Wish they served appetizer-sized tempura. The only way they serve it is a huge platter. It's good, but then you feel like you are overeating if getting other dishes too. Chattanooga roll is also huge...delicious, but like four rolls in one. I can't comment on the food or the service because we were seated and after a little while we left. That was our entire visit. Nobody came to our table to take care of us, not even a drink order or a greet. We just sat there with menus, decided what we wanted and eventually we got tired of sitting there and left. Hard to beat this place for Thai food. The service leaves something to be desired and at this price point it really should be more attentive. My drink ran out twice, and apparently the server felt I had enough diet coke and voluntarily converted me to sweet tea. A little slow for lunch, but you can get in and out in an hour. The food was great, I ordered the chicken fried rice mild and my boyfriend ordered the pork fried rice no onions and vegetables with extra white sauce. Although the food was great, we didn't stay for too long, our waitress was never really around when we needed her, so needless to say we didn't leave a tip. The food is awesome, but the service is not so great. It makes me sad to write this, but I will probably just get food to go from now on. A little back ground- my husband and I are both restaurant veterans, that's all we've ever worked in really, so we are over tippers. We came in with our 3 children (who know how to act in public by the way) and our good friend. So 3 adults, 3 elementary aged children. We felt like our server (Alex) did not want us there, maybe he thought "Oh great, a family, now I'm not getting a tip", I don't know. We were super nice to him, my kids always said please and thank you, and our order was easy peasy. But it was awkward, and totally obvious he wasn't happy to wait on us. Well, come time for us to settle up, and yep -automatic gratuity of 18% was added on. A party of 8, maybe 10 people, yes, I get it, some places auto grat those, but 3 adults/3 kids, really? Alex, you probably would have gotten more from us, because even when I do not get good service, I usually convince myself that they are busy, or had a bad day, so I should try and make it better, but you convinced me that my suspicions were indeed correct. My oh my has this place went down hill! It used to be way ahead of any competition in the area, but they've since taken their eye of the prize. The sushi rolls are over 50% smaller than original, and twice out of the last 3 times they have burned the mayo on the volcano from not paying attention. That wouldn't be so bad if they made another batch, but they just throw it on there and serve it anyway. For what it's worth, the prices never really bothered me, and I would pay a little more not to have mini sushi served to me as if it's supposed to be the real thing. Finally, I haven't really tried any of the Thai food, but I'm definitely disappointed with the sushi menu. read more

was in town for a night on business and the hotel recommended this place, it was a great time. we ate at the sushi bar and tried a ton of different rolls and sashimi, and it was all really good....had a nice bottle of wine, and some sapporo. very friendly staff.....will definitely go back whenever I am in town there. read more
