Very cool spot, never thought I'd find a log cabin in the middle of Houston! Rustic in decor with many antiques and country feel. Unique menu, lots of wild game. We all had the restaurant week special, I had the Quail bites, Salmon and blueberry pie. Everything was very tasty and nicely presented. Our waiter was excellent as well, very helpful and friendly.
Came in to try out their restaurant week menu! Great choices, great environment, and a chill time. Service in the bar area was spectacular!
Somehow I've never been here?? At least not that I can remember. Sunday funday started off with brunch of course. Seating in the main room is better than the little back room. The back room has a cute view and is generally quieter but hotter bc it's by the patio and serves as a sort of service pass through area. It was lovely, service was great and food was delish. Complimentary valet. Faves: Fried Texas quail bites Agnolotti with English peas Field breakfast
Met a friend at Rainbow Lodge on a Sunday afternoon for a somewhat early-ish dinner. For some strange reason, we both thought it was located somewhere else. Upon entering everyone was very friendly, and since I arrived before my friend did, they went ahead and sat me and let me know that they'd bring her to the table when she got there. The restaurant was nicely decorated and our server came over and took my drink order while I waited. I ordered San Pellegrino and our server brought me an ice bucket like they put the wine in so that it didnt get hot before I could finish it. Its little touches like that, that mean so much. After my friend arrived, and we had time to look over the menu, we ordered appetizers. The way we do it is... I order one and she orders one and we share. Thats pretty much how our whole meal usually goes. Appetizers: Me - Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes- they were pretty good, but not anything that really jumped out at me. Friend - Seared Sea Scallop with Rainbow Trout Caviar - it's served wirh a crispy potato nest, champagne butter, and chive oil. It was delicious and we both were sad that it didn't come with more than one scallop. I'm sure both of us could have eaten a few of them. Entee: Me - Griddled Gulf Red Snapper with Creole Remoulade - its served with dressed shaved brussels sprouts, asparagus and lump crab salad topped with a fried oyster. The fish was very good and super fresh. The thing I wasn't crazy about was the shaved brussels. I guess I didnt think that they wouldn't be cooked. I understand wanting to add texture to the meal, but it just wasn't my cup of tea, but I would eat that fish again any day of the week. Friend - Rainbow Trout with Lump Blue Crab and Pecan Brown Butter with sauteed spinach with garlic. I must admit, she was winning at ordering. Once again, hers was much better than mine. The trout was kind of crispy and had a great flavor. Next time I may just have to order that myself. Dessert: Me - Chocolate Mousse Cake. It's described as a decadent trio of fluffy mousse layered on rich cake base topped with chocolate ganache seasonal berries. It was very good and super rich. The mousse was smooth and the cake was moist. What more could you ask for in a chocolate mousse cake. Friend - Warm Croissant Bread Pudding. They describe it as bread pudding with brown sugar whiskey sauce, almond tuile cup, vanilla ice cream. So my friend prides herself on her bread pudding. I mean, she makes a REALLY good one, but as soon as she tasted this one, she said... this one is BETTER than mine. Thats a huge compliment coming from her. She is super picky about bread pudding. I also thought it was good. Service: This is my only real complaint and it isn't awful. Our server was pretty busy with a larger table so we kind of got neglected. She did apologize, but we did have a wait a bit to request things. We weren't upset, I would just expect a little bit more from Rainbow Lodge. Also, the valet staff wasn't very friendly at all. They didn't say thank you when given a tip. They acted like they weren't very happy at all.
It's always a treat when we get to have dinner at Rainbow Lodge. This visit was a last-minute idea, which made it feel even more special. We enjoyed sitting outdoors in the beautiful setting, and as a bonus, we even got to witness a wedding proposal -- such a memorable moment The food, as always, was full of incredible flavor, and the service was amazing. Thomas was excellent -- professional, friendly, and attentive. He truly enhanced the entire experience. Then the dessert was out of this world!!
What a great place for a date night! Great and friendly service with beautiful ambiance!! The food was too notch and the little things like the sauce the my paired things with took it over the edge! We enjoyed the taste of the wild for an appetizer, had the antelope and filet for entrees and then tried the pan a cotta and bread pudding for dessert! All was excellent! Definitely try this place! You won't regret it!
The décor here is wonderful. My husband and I visited during Houston Restaurant Weeks because I wanted to try wild game, though the menu also includes seafood. We ordered rabbit, duck gumbo, bison, salmon, bread pudding, and blueberry lemonade pie, and everything was outstanding. Unlike some restaurants that serve smaller portions during HRW, this restaurant served regular, generous portions with beautiful presentation. Our server, David, was attentive, explained each dish, and offered helpful suggestions. We also ordered the Taste of the Wild to sample additional meats, and the antelope was especially tender and flavorful. They also have an extensive wine selection. I will definitely be back.
I live in The Heights so I cautioned three "newbies" to Rainbow Lodge that Chicken-Fried Chicken Sundays will be busy and essentially, if we want good service, sit in the dining room. Yet, we sat in the bar area and LAUREN was extremely attention and helpful. We did not want for anything!!!! All 5 of us had a spectacular time!!! Kudos to manager, Mary, and server, Lauren. And I'll even mention our water server who also found a pair of tweezers for my friend's splinter! ABOVE AND BEYOND. A Heights GEM!!!!
We went on a Tuesday evening at 6:30pm and there was almost no crowd. I had a happy hour old fashion and my wife had a glass of red. We split an app and each got an entree. Rainbow lodge is not cheap but it's worth every penny. I've been to other restaurants in Houston that charge 20% less but you get horrible service and bland food. Rainbow lodge has super premium food/ drink and super high end service for slightly higher than average pricing. We really enjoyed ourselves. We will definitely be back!
This was my first visit here, as we had our company Christmas party last night. I looked at the menu beforehand and honestly didn't see anything I thought I would eat. But this was the epitome of "don't judge a book by its cover." Everything was absolutely amazing. Let me start with the ambiance. Wow. The outdoor seating area is breathtaking, especially with the Christmas lights illuminating the space. It was truly beautiful. Our server, Izzy, and the other young lady (whose name I sadly forgot), did an incredible job. Izzy even shared that this building used to be an actual lodge back in 1908, it has a lot of history! The customer service stood out from the moment I walked in. Every employee we encountered was professional, attentive, and genuinely kind. You can tell this establishment takes pride in training their staff, because the service was truly top tier. Now... the food. The chicken with mashed potatoes? AMAZING. I've never had capers before, but they added a flavor I didn't know the dish needed. And my favorite part of the night? The warm croissant bread pudding. I don't know who came up with that idea or recipe, but whoever it was, give them a raise immediately. That dessert has no business being that good. I will absolutely be back for another helping, along with trying other dishes. My entire party talked about how flavorful the food was and how exceptional the service felt. This place left a lasting impression, and I'll definitely be returning. Thank you to the entire team for working so hard to take care of our Christmas party, and not only our party, but the other parties that were happening last night as well. Your hospitality truly deserves recognition.
Just to be clear, I think Rainbow Lodge deserves 4.5 stars but because there are no half stars, I'm giving them 4 stars in the review. We went to Rainbow Lodge on a Friday night with a reservation for 6 people. We had been wanting to come here for along time and Houston Restaurant Week is a great reason to try new places. We were excited for the wild game choices that we had heard so much about. Parking: This place does not have a self parking lot so valet is your only option unless you want to park across in the neighborhood and walk across a major street. The valet is free but they ask for tips so keep that in mind. Ambiance: When you walk into the restaurant, you are immediately met with taxidermy animals which represents the lodge atmosphere. The restaurant had a cabin feel with the wood and fishing rods on the wall. The seating inside is pretty standard, but one note on that is the chairs at the table were super uncomfortable. The main dining room can get loud but nothing crazy. Service: The service was very good here. We never had to ask for our water glasses to be filled and our waiter was very attentive. They spaced out the different parts of the meal nicely and we didn't feel rushed for each course. Drinks: our group got two drinks. We had the old fashion and gin and tonic. The drinks were ok. Nothing special. Food: we came here for Houston Restaurant Week for their $55 dinner menu. The menu had a lot of options but some of the high end options had an additional charge. Below are the food times we got. Warm rolls in a cast iron: we got two orders of the rolls. Each order comes with 4 rolls each and a side of pepper jack pimento cheese, bone marrow butter, and European style butter with sea salt. The rolls were fantastic! The different butters and bone marrow really complemented the roles nicely. Definitely get this if you come here! Fried Texas Quail Bites: these were a nice start to the meal. The quail was fried well and came on a bed of grits and gravy. This was our favorite appetizer. Crusted duck salad: this salad was good but nothing I would go out of my way for again. Golden beets and summer stonefruit: this was a refreshing beet and fruit salad. Once again, nothing special. Game duo of grilled Texas quail and venison medallion: the quail and venison were very good. The venison was lean and cooked medium rare. The quail had that chargrilled flavor. The crispy cheddar grit cake was also very good! Grilled bison shoulder tender: two of our friends got this bison shoulder and it was cooked very well making the bison tender and flavorful. This came with trumpet mushrooms and mashed potatoes which were also great. Grilled North American elk chop: this was the best entree the table had. It was a $38 upcharge but man was it worth it. The elk was cooked to perfection and the bone on the chop was gnawed to the bone. It was seasoned well with a coffee seasoning and you couldn't taste the gaminess of the elk. Chocolate Mousse Cake: this was a layered mousse cake that was rich and just what you would expect from a chocolate cake. Very good! Warm croissant bread pudding: this bread pudding was so good. Our favorite dessert! It came with two pieces of croissant pudding and vanilla ice cream and was a great way to top off the meal. Rainbow Lodge was exactly what we were expecting for our first time. Once again, this place is a 4.5/5. Lots of fun meats and sides and HRW made it way more affordable! We would come back to Rainbow Lodge for sure!
My friends and I came here to try the HRW menu and to celebrate their engagement. The staff was super kind upon arrival and the interior was very southwestern, Texas ranch style. I really liked it, and the menu was very cohesive with the decorations and overall vibe. The items I chose for the HRW menu consisted of the smoked duck gumbo appetizer, venison and quail entree and the panna cotta dessert with the drink tasting menu. Everything was super delicious! The gumbo was really good, not that I've ever had smoked duck, so I was really impressed with the flavors Ive only had venison a few times but it was cooked to perfection. The quail was delicious also. There was also a nice reduction on the plate as well. And the dessert was one of my favorites of this entire year. The drinks were all good, but my least favorite was the espresso martini. It was so incredibly strong lol the flavor of tequila and coffee was jarring but my friends really liked it so it is definitely a personal preference. This is such a unique place and I'd love to go back to tour the garden in the back as well.
What a fantastic restaurant. Starts with easy valet, greeted by smiling hostess, and great views in the dining area. I stopped for a drink at the bar and enjoyed a well made old fashioned by a friendly bartender. I felt like i could've stayed and chatted but my dinner guests arrived so i went to the table. We had a small group so we got to try a variety of things: antelope, mixed wild game, redfish, duck gumbo - all of it was fantastic!! And we had the best Server, Izzy. He was attentive and knowledgeable (we had lots of questions). He made the evening a great dining experience

Went to Rainbow lodge for thanksgiving day dinner. It was amazing as always! We went with the Thanksgiving day special menu. Service was perfect as well. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas my nephews really enjoyed it as they had never been. Only down side was the drinks. On the small side and they ran out of blue cheese stuffed olives. Over all was a great experience and that bison steak was phenomenal! Will definitely be back. read more
My husband and I have been dining here for years now. We come here on special occasions only but every time we come the food is always good and we are always happy and satisfied. First of all, we love the aesthetic of this place and patio dining here on a cool day is relaxing. We came here for lunch because it was my birthday and it's Houston Restaurant Weeks. We ordered the summertime salad, snapper, chicken fried chicken, gumbo, and warm croissant bread pudding. We have not been here for months now and everything we ordered was delicious! I highly recommend ordering these items if you are going to eat here for lunch during HRW. The service was great and because it was my birthday they gave me a complimentary carrot cake which was delicious also. They have self-parking during the day in their small parking lot and valet only at night. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. read more
I cannot believe I haven't reviewed Rainbow Lodge. This is definitely one of our top restaurants in Houston. We have been celebrating something special here every year for a few years now. When I first heard of Rainbow Lodge I thought it was a strip club. But thankfully, it's not. Instead it's a beautiful cabin inspired restaurant with a beautiful outdoor seating area especially when the weather is nice. As far as parking goes there's free parking for lunch, and valet parking available for dinner. Since we've been here multiple times, the service has always been on point and the food outstanding. Our favorite dish here is the duck gumbo, but they really everything we've had here has been delightful. Overall, I think this place is one of the best places to eat in town. They have been around for many years as a testament of their commitment to serving the best food. You should definitely check them out! read more
They have complimentary valet and it doesn't look like you can park yourself so you have to use it. Inside, it looks like a lodge and they love to hunt. The wait staff was helpful on making recommendations. All of the food was delicious. I came during HRW (Houston Restaurant Week) and would love to come back! read more

Went to rainbow lodge last night with my two sons. We always like to try a new place for Houston Restaurant Weeks and we had been wanting to try this place for awhile. It did not disappoint. Our server was a little flat and seemed to not enjoy his job but the food came out in perfect timing. Everything was great. Towards the end of our visit he seemed to open up a little. We all did HRW menu. I got the best salad, antelope and bread pudding. It was all amazing. Presentations were beautiful as well. One of my sons got the fried quail, bison tenderloins and chocolate mousse cake. He liked his a lot. My other son got the duck gumbo, elk chop and mousse cake. We all loved the antelope the most. The bison was more tough that I would've thought but everything was delicious. We shared a bottle of wine and I started with a cocktail that had angels envy in it. The ambiance was nice, the restaurant is a log cabin. I loved the feel of it. Nice place with table cloths and wine glasses on the tables. Bathrooms were clean and stocked. The staff was extremely curtious and acknowledged you when you walked past. The only thing I didn't care for was the parking. I believe it's only valet so we parked across the street in a lot. I'm not a fan of valet. I would just rather keep my keys myself. Anyways I highly recommend this place. read more

Ambience is so fun! Definitely a lodge feel. Staff was so friendly and valet was quick. Parking lot is teeny! Started with the rolls- butters were awesome- a good mix of flavors that will please all palettes. Tenderloin was cooked to perfection, and the tiny potatoes were the perfect side. Elk chop offered a unique flavor with the coffee rub. Meat portion seemed a bit small. Mashed potatoes were light, fluffy, and full of flavor. read more

I returned here for Houston Restaurant Weeks this year. The service was good (not great). I had fried quail with grits for my appetizer. My entree was bison and I chose the croissant bread pudding for dessert. The fried quail was amazing and probably my favorite part of the whole meal. The bison was good but some parts were more chewy/tough than others. Lastly, I wasn't super impressed by the bread pudding as it tasted overwhelmingly like a croissant and - while I enjoy a good croissant- I'm not sure I want my dessert to taste overwhelmingly like one. I don't think I'd return again for HRW unless they added better options to the menu. read more

We took our friend who were from out of town to this place because we have been here before and could vouch that the quality was there. When we arrived, we had to wait another 15 minutes because our table wasn't ready and then when we actually sat down, we had to wait another 15 minutes because there was nobody to take care of us. We just sat there with no menu and no water. We ordered the tater tots with caviar, fried oyster cheese, and grits, the charcuterie board, and the duck gumbo. The tater tot was overly fried nothing to write home about the cheese and grits was undercooked and lacking. Charcuterie board came out without the toast and our server didn't even catch it and we had to flag him down so we can get our toast. Our entrées came out and was not even that hot and we have to flag down the waiter to get water multiple times even though we can see our waiter and bustboy just standing there. The antelope loin came out with brussels sprouts and the Brussel sprout had been burnt and you can visually see it burnt and they didn't fix that until we flagged them down and ask them for a different side because it taste completely gassy burn. The whole experience was not worth inviting anyone of our friends to and I would never come back to this establishment. read more
One of our favorite places when in the area. Delightful log cabin setting with lovely decor and game trophies. Enough selection that this non meat eater can always find something divine to snack on. Caviar tater tots and lobster avocado salad between two slices of green tomato. Yum! The jalapeno cheddar grits are an addiction. Sticky toffee pudding is out of this world. And then there's the huge selection of game meats available for carnivores like my husband. Elk, venison, bison...he loves it. And our server Jody was nothing short of fabulous! Parking is very limited and they have a paid valet. The restaurant has the hunting lodge vibes with lots of taxidermy animal heads in the place. The restaurant specialises in game meats. We tried their halibut in risotto, the flavour was alright but the risotto wasn't cooked properly and had a tough bite to it. The beets salad needed salt, but the presentation was nice and the ingredients seemed fresh. My duck chilaquiles were decent but nothing fancy. The game platter was a bunch of dried meat cuts and did not look as appealing. The chicken fried steak was good, and again, nothing to hark home about. Their bourbon vanilla ice cream with their bread pudding was the best. Lemon polenta cake was dry and meh. Service was good and attentive. Pricey for okay food. Would pass on this. read more

This place is outrageously delicious! Holy shit. The antelope was by far my favourite! We shared a whole bunch of different things and everything was cooked to perfection, including the veggies. I would've liked the venison to be less "dressed up" with the chili rub but it was still good. The elk was a runner up favourite- so much flavour in it! What an adventure to take your tastebuds on. The hibiscus margarita is delectable and you can't beat half price wine on Sundays. You don't wanna miss that bread pudding either. The service and atmosphere of the place matches the food... warm and cozy, wonderful and unique. Looking forward to brunch once it's warmer so we can eat outside! read more

Went here for our anniversary dinner. There is a cute outdoor seating area with heating lamps and the lights really elevated the mood and cozy effect. We sat inside and the interior was decorated to resemble a lodge which I liked. For appetizers, we ordered the bread with three types of butter and gumbo that was filled with rice and seafood which I was a huge fan of. My boyfriend ordered the antelope and I ordered the beef sirloin. Antelope was served with vegetables and grits that were very creamy. The beef was super tender and the sides came with broccolini and potatoes which were very flavorful, only thing was that they were a bit cold when it arrived and the portions are a bit small. We also ordered the bread pudding that came with vanilla ice cream that was warm and gooey. They also served us a chocolate mousse that was very silky and smooth. Overall a good experience, only wished the food was a warmer and would like to try their drinks in the future. read more
Came here for a buddies birthday and did family style eating. Been wanting to try for many years and also look around the grounds in which we completely forgot to do at the end of dinner. Everything was plated wonderfully, our favorites were the duck gumbo, steak, risotto and bread pudding. Oh and the drinks though i felt the maple old fashioned was a little too sweet, especially since you're using sweeter whiskey whistlepig and adding maple syrup, I'm more rye forward. Coming here has become an annual event during HRW. We had an off experience this time- no complimentary biscuit, took maybe 30-40 minutes for our entree, forgot our appetizer, had to remind several times about our friend's birthday, and also 15 minutes for the check. As for the food, I was sad to see the braised bison brisket gone from HRW menu. I got the ceviche which was so delicious but sadly small & the griddled shrimp with arancini (wasn't a big fan of the arancini, pretty bland). We got quail bites for the table and were disappointed- the breading had no seasoning and the grits were bland- we were expecting at least cheesy grits. However, the quail itself was tender and delicious. My friends got their $2 mimosas - they were definitely heavy handed w the champagne, maybe more orange juice would better balance them but can't complain for $2. Despite this off experience, I know what they're capable of and looking forward to returning next year. read more
Id recommend this place. The vibe is really great and the food is pretty delicious. Such an interesting concept. Only drawback is the price. I went here on a Saturday evening for a friends birthday. We had 7 people (max reservation is 6 online), but the host combined our 3 person & 4 person reservations and made us a new table. Great service! The food here was pretty delicious. The crab saffron risotto was delicious! I'd get this again in a heartbeat. The croissant bread butting was ok. The fried quail was another hit. Vibe was excellent here. Fancy but not too upscale. Very cool outdoor patio, would recommend sitting outside. Overall, I would come back here if it a bit cheaper. Might be back for another special occasion read more
Came here for brunch for Houston Restaurant Weeks and I have to say it was pretty good. Hadn't been here in four years because we had a racist incident when being seated but it had a good menu for HRW so we decided to give it a try. The crowd and employees were definitely more diverse than last time. Food was good and came out fresh and hot. Summertime salad was super tasty and I'm honestly craving it again. Oyster were superb and flavorful. Chicken was huge with two pieces. Mashed potatoes were really tasty. The petite $4 dessert addition was carrot cake and while the frosting and whipped cream were top notch it was dry. Sad. read more

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and everything was so delicious! We started with espresso martinis and the taste of the wild appetizer, which came with venison, bison, and quail. It was my first time having venison and bison and it was amazing. We then had a bottle of red with dinner and I got the off menu fish of the night and my boyfriend got the filet, both of which were amazing. We also ordered the bread to take home and that was great as well. Lastly, for my birthday, they gave me a card and had different employees sign it, which I thought was very personable. It was raining that night unfortunately, but I believe they have a little deck outside by the creek which looked nice! Would recommend. read more

Came here for a Valentine's Day lunch with my work crew. We made a reservation just in case but the restaurant wasn't too busy. I didn't see another option other than valet parking so we did that. Valet was tip only and they accepted cards! We got some hibiscus margaritas and crab cakes to start. The margaritas were amazing!! After two I was buzzing so be careful with these!! LOL. Crab cake was also super good! For my entre I had the red snapper over risotto that was not on the menu. It was amazing. Cooked to perfection and so flavorful and paired perfectly with the risotto. The complementary bread and butter was also super delicious and straight out of the oven. Food took a little to come out but the apps and drinks kept us entertained. Our server was super nice and attentive and very helpful in helping us navigate through the menu as first timers. I really loved this place!! I will be back for sure! read more

Took good friend to Rainbow Lodge. Have been wanting to try for years. Service was wonderful and attentive, seating was perfect with right amount of privacy as to not hear much of other conversations. Started with fried green tomatoes, really funky delicious creation with shrimp and crab meat...all very fresh and super yummy. I had the risotto with shrimp and crab. Perfectly cooked and just the right amount. Friend had tenderloin. He said you could slice it like butter. He was very happy. The rolls, truly, were the highlight. Came in a cast iron skillet. Soooooo good with 3 types of butter infused with flavors. As other reviews have noted waaaaaayyyyyy tooooo expensive. Won't be going back as there are other places with delicious food that are less (like Hugo's or Caracol or numerous other restaurants). Food A+ Cost F- read more

Wow! What a special treat. We were invited here for a birthday dinner with friends. The atmosphere is unique with lots of taxidermy mounts surrounding the main dining area. Being that my husband and his friend are avid hunters, we appreciated seeing all the unique game animals. I particularly thought the reindeer mount was cool. Next, the food! Every dish was a work of art. Most reviews raved about the gumbo and boy was it worth raving about. Delicious! You can get it to go by the quart if you wish. I had exotic meats I have never tasted before like fallow and red stag. It was an adventure to try all the meats prepared in lots of delicious ways. My main course, the Nilgai was prepared perfectly. So tender and perfectly seasoned. I hardly had room for dessert, which was the croissant bread pudding. So good! My husband and I shared that. Our waiter made nothing, but wonderful recommendations to us as to what to select and how to have it cooked. It was an incredibly pleasant experience and we hope to dine in again and will recommend to all adventurous friends. read more
Rainbow Lodge offers a truly unique dining experience in wondrous ways. Several indoor and outdoor dining areas are available and possess their own unique vibes. I enjoy the gorgeous section outdoors and furthest away from the building. It's a bit more secluded, yet it is plenty close enough to enjoy the live music originating from the other outdoor section. This outdoor area is expansive and romantic, the perfect outdoor date night spot. The offerings on the rotating menu includes a unique game meat selection. Whether it's boar, venison, elk, and even antelope, Rainbow Lodge has you covered. There's even a platter of wild game meat that allows you to enjoy several varieties of more exotic meat. More conventional proteins are of course, available as well. The Alaskan halibut I ordered was light and prepared well, and my dining partner's lamb was tender and seasoned perfectly. I didn't quite enjoy the starter of shrimp bruschetta or my caeser salad. Both were underwhelming, and my salad lacked flavor and a nice dressing. The parking is pretty much valet unless you get extremely lucky and snag one of the few nearby street parking spots. Went for the first time last night with my boyfriend and his family. The feel is cabin chic with an elegant menu. Service was excellent from start to finish! The artichoke chicken might be my new favorite meal. My boyfriend was very pleased with his old fashioned and the ice was so cool! Highly recommend this place for a nice date night. read more
Family of 5 reservations for Easter Brunch went well with a change of seating. We arrived early and had some great drinks at the bar and hostess let us know our table would be ready 20 or so minutes late so we decided to dine at a table in the bar. The smoked duck gumbo was 5 stars! Loved the flavor!Also loved the grits and brussels but med rare nilgai lacked flavor and wasn't tender. The dessert trio was fun/enjoyed getting to try them all. Love all of the staff greeting our party as we arrived and walked through the establishment! Rustic decor, both indoors and out, make the perfect 'lodge' ambiance. Although the place is roomy, there are plenty of intimate spots to have a romantic or family-friendly dining experience. The dishes were quite tasty; we had the: Braised Bison Short Rib Benedict, the Classic Caesar Salad, Lobster Risotto, and the Lump Crab Meat Omelette. All were delicious! We also experimented with some hot and iced coffees- all with alcohol. Loved this spot...it felt like a field trip and WE LOVE FIELD TRIPS!!! We'll be back! read more

Is there a dress code for dinner?
No official dress code that I could determine, but a smart casual might be a wise guideline.
How is the parking? Is is valet or self park?
There's a valet out front. Dont know if there's a self parking option.
Is the outdoor area too cold in December?
Not really, and you can always ask to be seated near heat lamps
Is there a dress code? Son and I are dressed nice, we just are not in shirts with collars
Smart casual- we wore jeans, nice shirts and shoes.
Are there stairs to get inside and to a table? Asking for a disabled person with a walker...
No they have ramps. You should be fine!
Is this place 3 yr old kid friendly? More so at lunch vs dinner? Or not really?
