After many weeks of shopping here with each week becoming ever more frustrating, my decision to…read moregrocery shop elsewhere has been made for me tonight. I placed an order for delivery today, with an arrival time from 5-9 pm. I have received 22 updates telling me they are sorry, and my groceries will be delivered by 10 pm. The truck has been stuck in the McMinnville area this whole time, according to the tracker they post. Prior to this, the produce they had in store has been decidedly inferior, rotten, or just absent. The most frustrating thing is the vendors who clog many of the aisles to stock products. In addition, the shelves are lacking goods at all, or the goods are a mess and unorganized. I'm upset about this because I have shopped here for 13 years, and until the past six months, have really enjoyed the store.

As all Safeway stores, they have a majority ultra-processed inventory and staff that barely…read moreacknowledges you, but when they do, it's to check the ID of a 50 year old guy with a clearly blading head for them to ask you ANYTHING. And yet, despite me telling this checker my date of birth, he needed to tell me no for a bottle of cooking wine. During my wait, he sneezed into his arm multiple times and wiped his snotty nose on his sweatshirt. I just love the occasional professionalism I experience at this establishment; these two fools telling me Ai is going to get them fired. Sure, right. At least in California, they let checkers make a choice to ID. What a joke Oregon is turning out to be.

I love Trader Joe's, but don't get there as often as I'd like to. My favorite grab and go is the…read morelemon orzo salad, and as temperatures began to rise, I was overdue. One of my favorite things about the store is the variety of seasonal products. As I grabbed my salad and danced through the aisles, the summer theme wasn't lost on me. I used to enjoy perusing the beer and wine section, and now, while my options of alcohol removed imbibes are limited, I absolutely did a double take upon seeing the Athletic Lemon Shandy. Steigl Radler (grapefruit) used to be my go-to in the summer, and I'd just been talking about it. So seeing this, in non-alc version made me realize that the blessing was real! In a world where everything seems to be a luxury these days, I'm reminded that it's the little joys in life that get us by.

They always have fresh and beautiful flowers, great produce and a good variety of MY favorite TJ's items. The staff is good too. I've let them in on my "ONLY AT TJ's" do y'all jam my flowers in the basket seat. Leave it CLOSED please!! When you stick stems down, a lot of times you break them or they get broken on the way out. Plus you're taking away PRECIOUS cart space. Stop putting the basket open! Ain't no kid sitting in it! Lol But for real. Every. Single. TJ's does I lol.

If the Safeway by my house was more like this location I would shop there a lot more. Everything…read morewas very easy to find and the folks who work here want to help. I ended up with an Instacart order where someone tried to pull a beer delivery scheme resulting in me having to legally try to return it. I was dreading this as the last time (it was a completely different area and store) was such a complete nightmare. But no, the first person I saw took ownership of the issue and made it so simple. He was that perfect friendly and helpful combo. He wanted to help and that is so refreshing but seems to be the way of this store. That makes a lot of difference is a shopping experience and also makes you want to go back. Their produce actually looked pretty great as well!

When I got to a checkstand I told the emplee Juniper that I was told I was being followed and gave the description of them. Juniper told me it was "PROBABLY" an in store shopper since they wear regular clothes. Which would make sense and be fine but I'm sorry can you tell your "in store shoppers" to not follow the one alone young female around???? And why don't your employees already know the description of your stalkers so they can at least give reassurance and confirm it is an employee when your customers don't feel safe??? I made it through the whole store with maybe 5 things in my cart so I wasn't even a big loss of inventory if I was trying to steal. I didn't even have a purse or pockets and my wallet was visibly in the cart. He had no excuse to be following me of all people. I've been a regular for almost 3 years I come in every other morning before work and I'm always in and out in 5 minutes with around 5 things max and always obviously pays. I even stopped at the deli first and spoke to an employee to get my food so why would I even try to steal after that? In case anyone is here and sees a man of Mexican ethnicity in a tan hat with a tan american flag on it dont worry and have your heart race while checking over your shoulder until you get home like me because its probably just an "in store shopper" like Juniper wants to downplay. Also as an Army Veteran myself seeing someone wearing a hat with the flag on it while literally stalking people and making them uncomfortable isn't a good look and very disrespectful just doing your job or not. Your customers are primarily vulnerable elderly people and someone being following wasn't even taken seriously. Won't be back.
