Been dealing with Rainier for 14 plus years now. Had one memorable transaction about twelve years ago that had 5 separate transactions involved in one closing. They pulled it all off without a hitch. One of the most recent seller transactions was all cash, close in ten days. Two days into the transaction the buyer tried to submit another P&S to Rainier to resell the house and use the earnest money from the second sale on the first purchase. They are extremely unorganized, you never talk with the same person twice, they got my email and the lenders email wrong on several occasions, they are very slow in answering emails, I felt lost in the transaction...would not use them again. read more

If this is the Title Co. your lender is using, I would highly recommend you request another. We refinanced our home recently and all was super smooth until we came into the office of Rainier Title in Lynnwood. Long story made short, they didn't know who we were, in spite of announcing our names, and giving them our ID. They left us in a room with another parties loan docs and all their personal info. If you closed on Jan 11th at 2:00 PM in Lynnwood, you personal information has been compromised! After figuring out who we were, finally, they kept telling us the other signing was a courtesy signing, so that explained it all away. Out docs were not even ready for the appointment and were brought into the room in pieces as they printed. The employee we sat with was highly inexperienced. In fact my wife knew more about some of the docs than she did. Both my wife and I were disappointed with this entire process. The following week I submitted my comments and concerns to the Rainier Title website contact page. I received a email back from the Lynnwood manager, Margie Allen, who assured me she had spoken to the employee about security and that it was a simple mistake to leave the other docs in the room with my wife and I alone. Can you say flagrant disregard for her clients personal information. Margie Allen also let me know it was only the employees second signing and she was in the process of training. Mind you, Margie was not in the room during signing at all, so not sure how that training works at Rainier Title. When you pay roughly a $1,000 for a service, do you expect to be ginny pig for the trainee? Margie again in her response email indicated that they thought we were the courtesy signers and that explained it all away. Courtesy must mean to them no money no service. In the end, stay AWAY from Rainier Title, as i really believe they have have flagrant disregard for your personal info as well as Fed mandated Security policies. Your purchase and or refinance could cost you thousands more than they ironically charge you if your identity is stolen as a result of their incompetence! read more

This title company managed to delay a sale in this much needed economy by ordering the wrong form. Then they sent us incomplete forms, not once, but THREE times which AGAIN delayed the sale. Then, once it WAS complete, they completed the IRS Forms completely wrong and when asked to fix it, was met with disdain and rude attitude. The forms sent over were NOT corrected by Rainier, instead they want US to correct it and then fax it back. Horrible customer service!!! Suggested to the buyer, who is a large builder in Seattle, to NEVER use them again. read more
