I purchased a Bernedoodle puppy (originally Purple Collar Biscotti x Lou) from Namaste Bernedoodles…read morein May 2025 for $4,000. Shortly after bringing him home, the puppy was diagnosed by my licensed veterinarian with pica, a compulsive disorder that causes ingestion of non-food items. As a result, he required one obstruction surgery and was taken to the emergency room five times for ingestion of foreign objects during the three and half months that I owned him. This condition required ongoing management and significant expenses. I ultimately returned the puppy to the breeder as outlined under the contract, with a very tearful goodbye. He ingested another foreign object, and I could no longer afford medical expenses for the puppy after spending approximately $15k in medical expenses prior to receiving any insurance reimbursement at that time. In order to return the puppy, I signed a liability waiver and non-disparagement clause, which stated that no financial reimbursement would be provided, a new puppy would not be provided, and that I could not make negative public statements about the breeder. This whole experience has been financially and emotionally devastating for myself and my 5 year-old son. I am sharing only my personal, factual experience so that others can make informed decisions. I would be happy to speak with anyone who would like additional factual information or documentation regarding my experience.

He never sheds, I brush him often (but never daily and sometimes not even weekly), he rarely knots, and his coat is amazing (and otherBernedoodle owners/trainers have commented same)...his coat just is and looks superior (the pics don't do it justice). I didn't even really care about that when buying...only cared about health but Barkley looks like Adonis compared to most other Bernedoodles I've seen around. His health is excellent, he is very strong and lean and well proportioned, he never stinks and I don't bath him often and walk him daily, and his teeth are also beautiful. He has no health problems whatsoever and he's just the most loving, sincere, sweet, kind, happy, hilarious, goofy loyal boy. I looked for several months on the Namaste website waiting for the perfect one. In late January 2024, I saw Barkley's puppy pic and knew he was the one, and picked him up a week later. The ladies and Kishan were very responsive to all of my inquiries before and after I bought Barkley. There was nothing they did not provide to me that I asked for. I am an attorney and can be over inquisitive at times and these folks were just great to deal with! No complaints whatsoever. I asked about the parents and health and I got my answers...but I never asked for actual parent reports or anything (and wouldn't as that's not appropriate in my opinion), and Namaste gives a one year health guarantee if you read the contract, they give you. I trusted the information I received and it was all 100% accurate based on how Barkley turned out. I'm so appreciative to Namaste for creating Barkley. :) keep up the excellent work!! She lives east of Dallas in Greenville TX. Her cell phone number however is still valid. 2) She sold us a goldendoodle puppy that was 8 weeks old and it lived for only 7 days after we picked it up. 3) The puppy was infected with Parvo acquired from her kennels and we had to watch it die even after investing a substantial amount of money trying to save it. 4) Erica has refused to reimburse us for the dead puppy because she refuses to acknowledge that she sold us an infected puppy. Erica obviously doesn't want her buyers to know that she has a poor reputation and an infected kennel. Parvo takes from 3 to 6 days to manifest itself, do the math as to Erica's liability. 5) Our puppy had a sister that she slept with and my guess is that puppy died also. 6) Erica also sold us another puppy that was reported as 4 months old. Our vet called into question that puppy's age as she had all of her adult teeth at 4 months of age. This puppy also knew commands such as sit and cowers constantly like she had been mistreated. Erica told us the dog was not a rehome but she exhibits unusual traits for an untrained dog.
