Not the best place to go and learn as the regulars there somewhat look down on new drivers and lower skill levels. Hobby shop itself is packed pretty well if you're on the Traxxas train or have a vehicle by one of the big racing brands. Don't show up with something not in those categories and expect to get help though. Randy, the owner is a really nice guy and is very helpful. If it wasn't for the older guys that seem to live there it would be a more inviting place for new drivers. Edit: after seeing the heated arguments/fights at this last event I know for sure I won't be coming back any time soon. Grown men yelling over toy cars is ridiculous. read more

One of the best rc car racing places in America for sure. People are super nice and so are the owners. Always put on a great race for everyone. They also have very good prices for rave entrees and parts. They have almost any part you need and if they don't you can order them. read more

Went in to Rainmans late Junewith my family and it was an awesome experience. Stopped by for some quick laps with my slash 4x4. Track was not crowded on a Saturday and layout/maintenance was great. The two ladies were extremely nice and even refunded some of my practice fee as I was only there for about 15 minutes, the money which I used to buy a new body for my slash. Had a truck shipped here for pickup from Horizon Hobby. They took 15-30 minutes to explain all kinds of tips about the truck. I looked at batteries and didn't purchase one, but they still gave me tips on what to look out for with batteries. Great people and I look forward to doing business with them in the future. read more

I wanted to buy my sons a Traxxas Slash for Christmas. Unfortunately, I made that decision the Tuesday before Christmas. I went in to Rainman's on December 20th and they had a few 2WD left, however one was pink. It was tempting, but I was sure a fight would ensue on who got the pink one. The owner told me he expected some more to be delivered the next couple of days. I was under the gun so I bought one on-line and was hoping I'd get lucky. I did secure a second truck on-line, but now I wanted one for myself as well. Long story short, I ended up with 4 trucks and my wife didn't want one. Anyway, I went back to the shop and explained the situation. I didn't want to return one of the trucks to this shop, I could of easily sent back the one that came from Amazon. However, I was certain they could sell it faster and another customer would be able to enjoy it for Christmas. The Rain-man's staff is very friendly and knowledgable, and they have a large inventory of parts. We had a mishap at home and we needed a stub axel carrier. I took the boys to the track to get the part and I almost had to drag them out of there. They were absolutely mesmerized by the race track and can't wait to bring their trucks there. We went home with the part and my son thought it was almost as much fun fixing the truck as racing it....almost. Thank you Rain-Man's Hobby & Raceway, this is going to be a great hobby my sons and I will enjoy for a very long time! We are already starting building a track in our yard! read more

Was brought here by a friend last August. Since then I've bought a 2wd slash and 4x4 slash. Staff is amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and are willing to let you look at parts or accessories without the pressure of a sale. Track is always in great condition (Clay) and the facility is always clean. I race every Friday and almost every Wednesday and I couldn't ask for a better group of people I've meet and the helping hand people are willing to give you if you have any questions about anything RC. read more

Recently started to get my foot back into the fun world of RC cars. Stopped by on a Wednesday night to watch some races. Friendly guy asked how we were doing and answered some questions, turned out to be the owner and a really nice guy. Ended up back at the shop the next day and bought a basher (traxxas slash) to have some fun with and hopefully eventually get my son into racing along side me. I initially started talking to the "lady" everybody seems to have a problem with, but found her to be helpful and fairly nice. She did eventually call Randy over and he addressed all my questions, rang me up, changed out some plugs on the car, and I was on my way. I found the prices to be about the same as online so decided to support my local shop. The facility is really nice, compared to the old places I used to race at back in the days (Wilkins raceway, Metro, TQ, etc). The track is clay with a slick misting system. I have had a good experience so far with this place and look forward to getting out there to practice and hopefully get back into racing at some point. read more

So I'm new to the RC Hobby and so far my experience with most have been good until today. I had been here yesterday and kid was really helpful.
