I first discovered Events n Chill (formerly Picnic n Chill) on a CNBC segment and thought it would be a great idea for some sort of special event. When it came time to thinking of a way to propose to my then-girlfriend, Events n Chill was still bouncing around in my head so I looked into more details about their Proposal package. Although the cost is pretty steep, Events n Chill were very quick to respond with options, as well as addressing any additional questions I had. Appointments are booked and paid for through their website, and additional follow-ups and requests are quickly addressed through email. In addition to the package itself, they offer a variety of additional add-ons for additional costs. But even without any addition items, the "basic" setup that comes with your selected package is still gorgeous and personalized to your request. On the day of, you'll receive a text with a drop-pin with the GPS location of your picnic setup. Since it was a proposal and I obviously wanted it to be a surprised, they did an amazing job getting all the details of my request down including having a photographer that popped out of nowhere (she was very well hidden) right as I got down on one knee to propose. Queuing up the music as we approached the carpet. As well as personalized signage displayed and ready to go. Oh, and she said YES! Jocelyn did a really great jobs with the pictures, and was professional and engaging throughout. She was great in suggesting different poses, selecting areas and angles with better lighting, and making us feel at ease while she snapped away. The only complaint we had about the entire process was how long it took to eventually get all of our photos. While Jocelyn was quick to send a selection of photos she took that day, we noted there were several key shots that were omitted from the album provided. Follow-up emails and texts asking if she could release a few more pictures sadly went completely unanswered for over 2 weeks before thankfully, she responded and shared the entire portfolio of pictures taken that day.

Fullbright events really came through to help us plan each and every, minute by minute, details of the day of coordination. Arshita is THE most thorough person I have ever interacted with. We had three prep calls to create the minute by minute timeline of the bride, groom, all the vendors, and the family members/guests. They asked us so many thoughtful questions regarding the day of that we had never thought of. Questions regarding what, where and how each of the vendors were providing their services, what we were bringing, who was driving the bride and groom, and many many more that we were glad that someone was asking us. On the day of the event, they arrived very, very early to ensure that the decorator was there and everything was going smoothly. When things went off track, as they are bound to do at any wedding, they kept their composure and resolved every issue with grace and we as the couple and our guests felt there was nothing wrong. Our entertainment went past our expected time but Arshita had thought ahead and pushed the open bar to later. We had cops arrive due to loud music but Arshita promptly dealt with them and asked the DJ to lower the music. We could not have asked for a better day of co-ordinator! In major part due to Fullbright Events and Arshita, we had the wedding we will fondly remember for the rest of our lives.

They were deeply interested in understanding our culture and ensuring that the wedding would exceed our expectations. They also understood the stresses that come with planning a major event like a wedding and were a pleasure to work with. Their professionalism, flexibility and intelligence shone through in all my interactions with them. Once I gave them my budget, they were able to provide me with a comprehensive list of vendors to choose for photography, videography, decoration, DJ and catering. I looked through the vendors and shortlisted the ones that appealed to me. After speaking to them, I felt great so I ended up booking them for the wedding. Sheetal and Arsh also patiently worked with my fiance and I to understand our requirements and did a wonderful job of communicating them to all the vendors. They also worked with vendors in India to have jewelry and outfits shipped to the US. I must also stress here that all of the planning was done remotely due to Covid restrictions and it is a credit to them that we never felt at any point that this hampered the wedding planning. I was blown away by their dedication at this point. Needless to say, the Fullbright team exceeded our expectations at the wedding. On the day of the wedding, they were there on time at 6:00 am and ready to go. Given that we had a traditional Indian wedding, which tends to be about 6-7 hours, the team worked tirelessly to keep things running on time with all the vendors. They were very cooperative and adaptable to changes to the timeline during our wedding. They always had a smile on and helped us feel calm amidst any wedding chaos. For the reception later that evening, they were again full of energy even though they'd had a long day by then. Again, from the cocktail hour to the grand entrance to the song and dance performances and ending with the open dance floor, all the events were impeccably managed and we were on time based on our pre-planned schedule. We lost count of how many of our guests reached out to let us know that our wedding was amazing and all the events were planned and executed so smoothly. We couldn't be happier for hiring Fullbright events and trusting them with our special day. What Myri does well: 1. She has experience with kid's parties. There were definitely things that she thought of that I didn't. For example, there was a certain playdough favor set that I wanted to purchase for the kids, but she recommended against it due to the choking hazard for kids my son's age. That was very, very appreciated. 2. The event went smoothly. Myri left her assistant with us, and Kat made sure everything ran on schedule and that the food/drink station was constantly refilled. It was also great to be able to show up at our event and not have to worry about set-up or break-down. This peace-of-mind alone made hiring Myri worth it. Things that I expected more of given the price of her services: 1. I expected Myri to be more responsive to correspondence and to provide more updates on the status of the planning. I did appreciate that she was cognizant of this and apologized for her slower follow-up during her busy holiday months. Still, I would have appreciated this being communicated to me upfront or perhaps receiving even just an automated email response stating that things were busy and that she would get back to emails as soon as she could. 2. While I appreciated Myri doing walkthroughs of venues on my behalf when I was not available, something happened at the first walkthrough that resulted in the host canceling on us stating that his space was 'not appropriate' for the type of event we wanted to host, despite previously having been on board with a kids' birthday party. While I think there was some sort of misunderstanding, this put me back to square one in terms of finding a suitable venue and forced me to forgo an affordable venue that I had already spent a significant amount of time vetting. The venue I ended up booking was almost two times the cost of the first venue. In hindsight, I - as a client - may not have been suited to work with an event planner like Myri. I feel like the ideal client for Myri is someone who is very hands-off, has a large budget, wants only to make a few decisions here or there, and show up on the day of the event. I personally wanted to be more involved with the planning and know when things were getting done/next steps/to-dos, so for me it was stressful working with Myri and not knowing what to expect, particularly in the days leading up to the event.
