I've been to Raising Cane's in Nebraska, but this is my first time visiting an Indiana Raising Cane's. My first question: are the sauce cups aways this small in Indiana or is it because they know their market being on campus. All the Cane's I've been to have had 2oz sauce cups. This location has 1oz sauce cups. Service was good and the restaurant is clean. Food came out relatively fast, and it was hot out of the fryer. The chicken's breading was a little limp and lacking texture. I would personally like it wa bit crispier. There just isn't enough breading on it to crisp it up anymore, and the little amount that was on it made it soggy and limp.

Work brought me to Bloomington, and arriving late, I needed a quick bite. The hotel reception suggested a few places, and Raising Cane's caught our eye. I hadn't been there before, but my sister had, so we decided to give it a shot. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was welcoming. Near the entrance, there was a kiosk with the menu, making it easy to order and wait for your number to be called. Since it was late, my sister and I opted to share a meal. We went for 8 tenders, double fries, and a drink. The food was served hot and fresh - exactly what we needed after a day of traveling. No complaints at all. I now understand why people rave about Raising Cane's. The food is genuinely good. In my opinion, you can never have too many chicken tenders. When in doubt, chicken tenders and fries always hit the spot.

This is my first time eating anywhere this close to the IU campus. This Cane's is only a block and a half from the edge of the campus. I had just finished shopping on the west side of I-69 and was looking for this Cane's. The women's basketball team had just finished winning their first round game in the NCAA tournament as the number one seed and I watched the folks trickling in from Assembly Hall. Their dining room here is three times the size of a regular Cane's. And they have an outdoor walk up pickup window. I ordered my usual three piece combo meal. The chicken was superb as always, maybe better than the Avon store but they were still pretty new when I went there. I wish they would give you more of those fantastic crinkle fries. The Texas Toast is, of course, the bomb! Nothing beats it! I love the ketchup pump. It is like a draft beer spigot. Just pull down the handle, hold it down and it flows into the paper cups. No need to pump it like every place else. Two employees were very helpful getting me setup with a Rewards card. I found a street parking spot one block away. There is a parking lot directly south behind the row of restaurants on Kirkwood. Both the lot and the street are metered so bring your quarters.

Enjoy the photo of the wife and I enjoying our meal- extra Cane's sauce is a must!

You either have to be a fan of canes's, or hate everything about it...I love the place. We came in around 10pm on a Friday night- place wasn't too busy. We ordered, and got our food right away. Ambiance is always fun, but not too over stimulating. Everything tasted great.

It's a chicken shop, but a great one! The menu is very concise, but the few items they do have are very high quality. From the chewable ice, to the very clean bathrooms, this is definitely more of an elevated fast food experience. I HATE to have to share the downside of my experience, but as you can see in one of the photos, there was a long hair in my food. I worked in food service for years and understands that things happen, but this definitely is not something you want to find in their meal. I wish I could give 5 stars, but that is the one thing that knocked one off for me. That being said, I will definitely be back again! That should attest to how great the food is

Man, customer service was nice!!! Very intelligent of the menus and what to get. I got the chicken tender sandwich with toasted bread with butter on both sides. The bread was amazing as well as the chicken. Lettuce was on as well. They had the raising sauce on there which made it even better. You can order extra sauce on the side but will cost I believe 39 cents extra. The atmosphere was great. Right smacked down on Kirkwood. Just beware of homeless people.

I liked it! I only ordered the sandwich so I never really tasted the chicken by itself, but together the sandwich is really good! The chicken has a crispy exterior, juicy interior, good seasoning and not too salty. The sandwich also has a slice of lettuce which was good because I'm not trying to eat a meal and get a habit of eating an unbalanced diet saur...I've only gotten literally one thing from the menu but the price seemed pretty decent for me, I don't remember the amount but it included a drink and I don't remember thinking this was an insane price so overall I would definitely go back! :D

Raising Cane's. Cane's bread and sauce is delicious. I can see why it is loved by many. However, the chicken is incredibly average and bland. GREAT chicken should not have to be paired with a sauce to be great. Great chicken is great even without sauce. I cannot fathom how individuals prefer Cane's instead of Chick-fil-a. Additionally, the ice machine was broken every time I went to this location. Cane's has a lot to work on, but I give it 3 stars for its incredible bread and sauce. That is all.

I was visiting my sister and she recommended this place because she had heard about it from fellow IU students. My thoughts: come for the IU memorabilia, and ambience, eat an order of onion rings (maybe sip a beer) while you watch a game and leave! The food was mediocre at best and wayyy overpriced.

It's really good! People who don't like imitation meats will appreciate this because it's not trying to be chicken at all - you can clearly tell it's breaded cauliflower. Great texture when you bite into the crispy breading and get the perfectly cooked flaky cauliflower inside. The seasoning is intense and delicious. The hot is legit hot, but even the milder spice levels are still flavorful. I tried the cauli bites, tenders, and slider. The tenders are huge! The cauli bites and chicken bites are the same price, but the cauli tenders cost $2 more per tender compared to the chicken, so meals with the tenders are $2-4 more to the equivalent chicken entrees, which is kind of ridiculous because cauliflower has to be cheaper than chicken. If you are interested in the cauliflower, be aware that the batter contains dairy and egg, and it's fried in the same oil as the chicken. So it's unfortunately not suitable for vegans or vegetarians who are strict about cross-contamination. Did not have great experiences with drinks either time I tried to get something. I tried to get a Powerade slush, but was told the Powerade machine wasn't working, so I could choose another flavor if I wanted. The fruit punch was also apparently not working (although I saw the worker pour some out and it looked fine from what I could see), so I ended up with orange which didn't really do anything for me. I tried to get iced tea on another visit. I attempted to mix the unsweetened and raspberry but I think the machine may have been not working or just out of tea because I got what tasted like straight raspberry syrup and was undrinkable. I will give the tea another go if I confirm that the machine is fixed, because I like the Gold Peak tea. I think the food is fried to order, so you have to wait for the stuff to be made, but considering that, the service is timely. The place has been clean when I'm there. The indoor seating feels very industrial but there's lots of outside seating which looks nice.

After arriving i got my food out and saw there was a huge mosquito bug literally pressed onto a couple of my fries. I mean i can see the legs head and fuzzy body with the proboscis. A big one at that. I feel sick to my stomach and obviously don't trust that the rest of the food hasn't been touched. I called to see if i could possibly get a refund because i don't really want to get more food from somewhere that already served me mosquito french fries. I spoke to the manager and told them the situation. The manager did not offer to remake my food and told me a refund was not possible and he could send me a couple coupons to my address. I told him i felt this was inadequate and i have worked in multiple different food establishments and this has never been the way something was handled. the manager then said he discussed with the higher up manager and they said it would only be possible to refund the two fries because the rest of the food was up to par. How can you possibly tell me the same food in the same bag with the bug hasn't been contaminated. In this economy i feel as these people are literally playing with people's money and time. I spent 32.04$ for 2 meals that i can't even eat it let alone enjoy the meal. I ALREADY ATE A FRY WITHOUT KNOWING THERE WAS A WHOLE MOSQUITO IN NY FRIES. I am so disappointed and irritated by the service provided from this restaurant and really want my full refund.
