So, I've only tried this place twice so I don't know if it's normal to have the bread toasted only on one side but it seems odd to me. It was tasty anyway. I made a little open- faced sandwich with bread topped by Cane's sauce, then coleslaw then a chicken finger. It was delicious! The chicken was piping hot and I had to wait a bit for it to cool down. Crunchy and tasty. I get the hype. Not 5 Star worthy due to customer service. The drive-through guy says "chicken chicken chicken what combo you picking?" I said just a moment while I look at the menu and he kept rushing me. I know there is a long line, because I waited in it. Patiently. I even made sure I didn't block the pedestrian crossing like everyone else did. I don't think waiting 20 seconds for me to look at the menu really quick is too much to ask. The chicken is excellent, the fries are usually over-salted (so ask for a no-salt ones and salt your own), the coleslaw is good, and those little containers of special sauce should be free! It's bullcrap for them to charge for that because it's their signature accoutrement to their chicken! I just discovered Raising Cane's and I am so happy I did. First I have to get out of the way that sweet tea done right makes me ridiculously happy, and Cane's sweet tea does just that. Not syrupy not flat tasting, pretty much perfect. The chicken has been hot, fresh and juicy the three times I have had it and the fries have been hot and fresh as well. Cold soggy fries are definitely a pet peeve of mine so that scores points with me. The deal sealer is Cane's dipping sauce. Not complicated, just a tasty, zesty sauce that compliments the chicken tenders very nicely. There is a piece of Texas toast that comes with your meal and who can say anything bad about toasty, buttery bread. The staff have always been friendly, energetic and very helpful.
