I've been to this location a few times and I actually thoroughly like it. Their pick up is usually seamless and they get my order correct which is nice. Recently, I ate in person and the food came out piping hot. I placed a curbside pickup order expecting someone to bring the food out to my car. After arriving, I waited nearly 30 minutes and no one came out. I eventually went inside to check on my order and found it sitting on the mobile pickup shelf, where it had likely been for quite some time. This completely defeats the purpose of offering curbside pickup if customers still have to come inside to retrieve their orders. My favorite chicken finger place! Their chicken is so tastey, juicy, and the outside breading is so crunchy! My whole family loves this place! It's also good to order for big group gatherings! This Cane's location was on point! Came after a concert around 11pm and the line had about 10 cars in line. It moved pretty quickly and we prob only waited about 10 mins from ordering to receiving our food. The food was delicious! The chicken tender pieces were big, way bigger than the San Jose location. My oh my this location is a bit on the newer side since the last time I was in Hayward and it is efficient. You drive in and there is 2 lines. No merging, no determine who goes first, 2 separate lines, finally a place gets it! You place your order and if you are in the far right lane your order is hand delivered to you by employees, otherwise if you are in the other lane you can drive right up to the window. It was quicker than I expected considering the amount of cars at this location. It was this location that we learned you can customize your order. The price was a little bit steaper than what we paid at another location, but my son was hooked. The chicken was just as tasty and juicy as he had a couple days prior at a other location. Comes with 4 tenders, fries, a slice of bread, a drink and coleslaw. Overall, I give the chicken a 7/10. It was pretty good. So where did the 7/10 come from. It comes from taste, and value. I feel $15.50 for the meal is too much. A bit on the pricy side. I believe a fair price would be $12- $13 max. That would give it a fair value. But as it, it's on the expensive side. After all it's chicken ( chicken is a cheaper meat ). Will I return? Maybe. But not often. The value to me isn't there. It's a just good but it's not great. That is my assessment. read more

Thought I'd treat myself after a little bit of thrifting at the nearby Eco Thrift. Four finger combo with lemonade, and I always sub in an extra piece of Texas toast for the coleslaw ($16.38). Admittedly, a bit pricey for fast food, but it comes out hot and fresh. Lemonade today was a bit watered down. As a tail end of lunch hour on a Monday, there were only three cars ahead of me in the drive-thru and there was an attendant there taking orders and payment. Back on the road in five minutes. Every time I go to any Raising Cane's location, I am waiting 30 minutes or more, even sometimes an hour. The last time I went to a Raising Cane's was the Oakland location and only drive through was available. Oh my goodness, that took forever. I was in Hayward and decided to check out Raising Cane's because I haven't had it for more than 1.5 years which is when I went to the Oakland location. There's a new location opening up in San Jose and I cannot wait for it. I ordered the three chicken finger combo which includes the three chicken fingers, fries, toast and a fountain drink. There were only three customers in the store so I didn't really have to wait that long. I got my order and it was piping hot. I enjoyed the chicken fingers and also the toast. The chicken fingers were hot and crispy and I love the Raising Cane's sauce. The fries were hot but quite soggy. I wish they were much crispier like the crinkle cut fries at Shake Shack. That piece essentially redeemed my ratings for Raising Cane's. As a whole, I thought the fingers were tasty but smallish. Enough for a lunch meal, but not enough for dinner time. The sauce was a little unique. It was like typical orange fast food special sauce but very peppery with more character. I wouldn't be surprised if the sauce itself was a draw. I heard that the Texas Toast was supposed be good, but mine was not toasty at all-- just soft and unappealing--dinner bun-like. The fries were a nice surprise. They were crinkle cut but almost McDonald's shoestring size. Usually crinkle cut are the mouthful steak fries size. The coleslaw was fresh and refreshingly not overly sweet. The service was quick and efficient. The staff was on the move either cooking, taking orders or cleaning up the dining room. They seemed quick and eager to work. This location has good food but it is very small inside. There definitely could be more seating for indoor dining. Their chicken tenders are cooked perfectly and of course their canes sauce is always good. We got their "caniac combo" and a kids meal for my son. The fries are good and not salty compared to other locations I've been too. You definitely need to try their coleslaw, it's very good (a bit small of a portion for a caniac combo though).
