I had to stop by an In-N-Out Burger during my Bay Area visit. Trying to taste the authentic California style burger. What a fail!!!! This In-N-Out Burger is within my reach. Me and a friend made our way here to find the drive through was extremely long. Then, we decided to park at the Walmart parking lot and proceed to walk. There was no line in the restaurant but people scattered around waiting for their food. We literally waited 30 minutes for our food. Considering the cost of food, long wait is expected. Not sure if it's the busy season or the way they make their food, the fries were nasty. They were dry and hard, not just one piece but the whole tray. Salt packets were provided. Burger... ugh. Okay my review is gonna focus on this specific location & what I usually order. Since I don't eat meat my order fave has been: animal style fries, grilled cheese, double cheese + double veggies, & I have the iconic pepperoncinis. but back in my burger days a double double protein style with cheese was my go to. We always order our food to go here, the line is usually a long one so it's a bit faster if we order inside. The food quality has always been consistently great, my husband has a serious in-n-out diet and if they had a yearly membership I'm 100% confident that he would purchase it lol This is our local in-n-out and the staff is always amazing, kind, professional, and calm under pressure. I've seen some interesting stuff happen in this parking lot they share with Walmart, and would just say to not leave any valuables in the car & lock your doors. I've eaten inside a few times, but haven't in years. It was usually packed, but with still tables available for you to sit. Even though there's a lot of orders they get them out very fast and still preserve the quality. Me and my friend with her dog visited the drive thru section and I just discovered that they are selling an item for dogs called, "pop patties" (no salt or pepper). That's awesome! Got our orders for three in the drive thru. Employees performed well with busy site, kudos on the employees! With 10 cars ahead of us, we got our orders right, as we go thru the driveway the site had a clean and clear pathway with maximum effectivity of the orders. Despite the drive thru line being a double line that spilled out of the parking lot, I was able to walk in, place my order, and get it all in under 20 minutes. We beat the drive thru line. The person taking my order got our order wrong. We wanted a combo and to upgrade the fries to animal fries. She added an additional animal fries. She also misheard and thought we wanted 2 combos instead of only 1 combo. It was packed inside so I understand it may have been difficult to hear. It was an easy fix for us but listen careful when they're repeating your order back to you. The double double tasted amazing as always. Been here multiple times but first time reviewing this place. I usually do drive thru and it can be super long. Also, the parking lot is a nightmare, it is next to Walmart and it can be really hard to get out if you decide to park here. I would recommend to park on the other side of the lot, so that you can get out easier. Whoever designed the parking/drive thru area did not do a good design job cause it can get congested, especially during dinner time. Besides that, the food and service is fine via drive thru or if you go inside. For this review, we sat inside and it was better than I expected, pretty clean. We got a cheese burger with grilled onions, 2 hamburgers with grilled onions, and 2 fries and it was good. Ketchup, napkin etc are all self served, and the jalapeno peppers were pretty big too! First time at this location. For the drive-thru, they use a weird two line system and have a sign that says 'please alternate vehicle's', or similar. I don't like this system as people are either confused with this or try to cut in line. I've always had a great experience with in n out service but I came here this past Saturday through the drive through and the person that took my order seems like she was over her job .. I always tried to make a stop before flying out from Oakland airport, and I always order Double Double Animal Style, cut in half (for ease of eating in the plane). Parking is a bit hit or miss here because of the drive-thru line cuts through the lot and blocks some of the spaces, and there is a busy Walmart next to here as well. Like most of their locations, food takes awhile here. I do not care for or crave burgers ever, so I would only come here, if my family or friends want to come here. I'm sick of getting cold ass fries from the drive thru! I always ask for fresh fries and I get cold stale fries that are as hard as a rock.

Come here with caution. I've never had major issues at this location before, aside from the occasional cold fries or thin lettuce when ordering protein style. However, my family and I visited on 12/19/25, and all of us became ill afterward. We experienced nausea, sweating, stomach cramps, and multiple urgent trips to the bathroom. Given how busy this restaurant gets, this is very concerning. This location should be inspected more frequently, as rushed food handling could easily lead to situations like this. read more
