Aesthetics aside, you could've easily eaten this as fingers and a side of bread, but this large sandwich did the job. High marks for all of the food (however... please add some spice to the chicken seasoning and sauce, and more flavor to the coleslaw), the portions were great, the prices were very reasonable, and the service straightforward. The menu was extremely limited, but the same could be said with In-N-Out. I wished there were some Hawaii-specific menu items. First timers for this brand. Very good first impression. App initialization and ordering experience was easy enough. Oddly, Drive Thru wasn't available for ordering on the app. I'm assuming this is for speed continuity as the lane appeared to move quickly. Our delivery person was so polite and kind. Food- chicken fingers and sandwich were tender, moist and fresh! Bread , fries and coleslaw all hit the mark. First time eating here at the Hawaii Kai location. I'm not one that prefers to eat chicken tenders and like my fried chicken thighs. Anyway, the menu was reasonable and the chicken was moist and tasty. However, I am not used to getting only one kind of dipping sauce and I wasn't impressed with the sauce. I would definitely recommend that they add a variety of sauces that would give consumers more choices. The chicken flavor is fine and I definitely think a ranch, bbq, or a type of spicy sauce would entice more people to try it. read more

Visited this location on 12/23/2025 and decided to dine in. Food is typical Raising Canes, nothing wrong with that, but why 3 stars???? First off, seemed like the a/c was off in the place. Looked for an open table under the ceiling fans, all of them were dirty. So I decided to sit at a somewhat cleaner table near the fan. Waited for my wife and kids to order and get the drinks, and she decided the table was too hot to sit in. So she decided to clean a table under the fan and we moved over. Towards the end of our meal, we seen a larger family come in and wanted to sit at the largest table in the place, table was a mess so they asked them to clean off the table-worker didn't seemed happy about it, especially passing 2 tables with leftover fries on it and NOT doing anything about it. Raising Cane's is a favorite of mine, so when we spotted a location on our way to Sandy Beach, we had to stop! My husband and I opted for a Caniac meal with a lemonade. We substituted the coleslaw for extra fries and added a honey mustard. The food arrived quickly and extremely fresh. The chicken fingers and fries were crispy and hot, just the way I like them. My husband, who isn't the biggest fan of Raising Cane's, stated, this location was by far the best he had ever had--a huge compliment indeed! Overall, our visit to Raising Cane's 10/10. Moved to Hawaii Kai for about two months now and glad to have this Raising Canes in our neighborhood! I'd say this Hawaii Kai location is by far the best I've had compared to raising Canes in California I've been too. Every time I go through the drive through the workers are super nice and they make sure they get your order right! Love love love that they have a drive through wish the one by UH had a drive through but understand the location that it's in. Chicken tenders are always amazing! The toast is so yummy and buttery! We have enjoyed Raising Cane's across multiple states and cities so we know what to expect. We have not had a bad experience at this particular Raising Cane's. Parking: ample as it is in a huge parking lot alongside City Mill, Panda Express, Starbucks, Ross, and Costco to name a few of the big establishments. However, parking can get difficult at peak times because of those popular places. They do have a drive-thru in case there's no parking. Inside: Maintained pretty well and clean. Bathrooms are clean. There is ample seating and lighting. Not too noisy. Food: We love their chicken and the sauce. It has always been crispy and not soggy when we order from this location. I am disappointed today with the staff who took my order via drive thru at the Hawai'i Kai location. The receipt of my order says server name is "Lily V." I was having difficulty hearing her and the speaker on the drive thru seemed broken. I told her that I couldn't hear what she was saying and that her voice was going in and out. Rather than having patience with me as a customer, she raised her voice as if it's almost like she was yelling at me. I didn't tell her that her voice was soft. I told her that the connection isn't clear. I drove to this location today for one reason. It's for my youngest brother's birthday. And after today, I honestly don't want to support Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers UNLESS they retrain their staff to have patience and what it means to service customers specially IF they know that their system isn't working properly! It's not your customers fault that your system is broken. Please see your management on how they can help you better service your customers. Please don't take it out on your customers who is there to buy food that you're selling that helps you keep your job! It's not appreciated and it's not very nice! Well some for dinner as I found myself in Hawaii Kai and knowing mom wanted some chicken thinking this would be the best option as it was pretty late and I wasn't in the mood to do a search. Raising Cane's is in Hawaii Kai Towne Center a lovely spacious location with lots of free parking a few just steps from their front door and as i entered the greet i received felt very warm and friendly and though their menu is very simple the staff obviously was aware I was unsure as I stared in the abyss trying to decide...stepped away giving me full view of their menu board which gave me comfort and not felt rushed. I ordered the Caniac which included 6 chicken fingers, crinkle cut fries, two Texas toast, Cole slaw and two Cane's Sauce...I don't do slaw and got an extra Texas toast instead so we don't have to share it lol! It all came just a few cents from twenty bucks but since I'm sharing it I thought it was well worth it and it came out fast and hot the quality of the chicken was just fresh and cooked perfectly. I just tried mobile twice through the app - that made my life a whole lot easier because I forgot my credit card - and the app had my card number saved it's a nice atmosphere inside - clean and fun with the disco ball - been to several events here and it's great for the community kids and family love it - simple but always fresh. texas toast is not an obsession for the 5 year old - so I always gottah get the kids meal, plus the toast lol! I went through the drive-thru at Raising Cane's in Hawaii Kai yesterday. The service was fast, which was great, but the food was mediocre. The chicken was dry, the Texas toast (which we always order extra of) was barely warm and soggy, and the little amount of fries we were given were also barely warm. It was like we were given a meal that had been sitting on the counter for a while. I've visited other locations, like Waikiki and Ala Moana, multiple times, and never had this issue. Nothing bad to say, great staff and specious venue. The menu is literally just chicken fingers and I didn't assume that even with "chicken fingers" in the name. I thought that was their bread and butter item but not all that it had. With that being said, ordering was easy since there weren't options. The chicken finger sandwich was good and the sauce gave it a sweet taste. Lettuce was pretty soggy and beaten but overall the kids liked it. Next time I'm just buying one combo because fast food in general isn't cheap and my kids only drink water so the soda options didn't suit them. I've been going to this Raising Cane since they opened up and have always been happy with the service and would normally give them a 5 star rating until yesterday (January 29th) After shopping at Costco I had a few minutes to spare so decided to go to Raising Cane so pick up some chicken strips. There was a young girl behind the counter and she was on the phone so I waited patiently. After about 3 minutes she got off the phone so I approached the counter to place my order. I stood there for another minute or two while the young girl stood there doing something. She still hadn't acknowledge me or said she would be right with me. Raising Cane's. What a success story! What a concept! Who'd believe a small fast food startup selling just a total of FIVE items can become a corporation and franchisor. What are those five items? Cole Slaw, Crinkle Fries, Texas Toast, and its famous Chicken Fingers and Cane's Sauce. This reminds me of a mom and pop shop that just offers a few items and prepares those items very well, and Raising Cane's seems to do that extremely well as its going to open a SIXTH location all within just a couple of years. They're all franchised by the Panda Express Group. I've heard the raves and rants about this place, and noticed super long drive thru lines when this Raising Cane's just opened during the pandemic. It's located in the Hawaii Kai Towne Center with Costco and City Mill in the previous Burger King location. The interior is very clean, bright, spacious, and interesting. Seeing that, I decided to dine in. You have to leave your contact tracing information. The employees and staff are very friendly, upbeat, and courteous. Definitely one of the better customer service places. I just ordered Chicken Fingers and a Cane's Sauce. Don't care for the combo for unlimited soda and high fructose syrup concentrate and water. Our order came out exceedingly quick. I didn't even finish my contact info, and my order was already sitting there on the counter. Aren't they made to order? Cooks THAT fast? The Chicken Fingers were pretty good. You can definitely taste and feel it's chicken breast as you get some dry and stringy parts, but it was mostly tender and soft. Fried exceptionally well to a crispy outside and nice golden color. Nice oily or greasy. It was well seasoned as well. You definitely need the Cane's Sauce since the fried batter is dry and the meat is a little dry. It had a good taste that was Mayo-ey, ketchup-ey with some spices. Solid flavors that wasn't overpowering. Overall, the Chicken Fingers were good for what it is. It's nice Raising Cane's promotes quality over quantity focusing on just several menu items. It was surprising to see SO many employees working there at one time, but everyone seemed upbeat and the ones we encountered were very friendly and courteous. With this location, it's hit or miss. The size/number of the chicken they give is inconsistent. I got a Caniac Combo to share and there was a mixture of normal sized pieces and pieces half the size of the toast. How can you give pieces this small and count it as one chicken? Either give extra pieces if they're going to be small or don't give these pieces at all. I feel this is common sense, especially if we are paying you for six normal sized pieces. This error is something that happens occasionally and despite the inconsistent sizes, the food is good. Service is generally good. I think they might need to fix their microphone for the drive thru though because it's hard to hear the worker sometimes and it also seems to be hard for them to hear us. Texas Toast - Just a thick piece of bread/toast that is all buttered up. Buggah is ono! 3. Coleslaw - Not my choice, but you get it with the combo. Not a big fan of coleslaw, but I tried to eat a little of it, and for the most part, it wasn't too bad at all. 4. Crinkle Fries...........ya hardly see these types of fries in fast food joints now days! Done right, as it was crispy on the outside, and soft on da inside. 5. Raising Cane's special sauce for the chicken fingers...........I call it "Crack' sauce, because if you actually told me this, I'd probably believe you............a great sauce to compliment them juicy chicken fingers!!!! 6. We are so happy that Raising Canes opened up in Hawaii Kai. We drove by there everyday on our way to work and saw it's progress over the past months. Then finally the announcement for the opening came. We were so excited, we went there the opening weekend. Yes, we're crazy because everyone else had the same idea. But you know what, they had it all under control. We got there around 5 and the line was pretty long. But they had a system where you get a ticket and they tell you which lane to go in. They had three lanes of cars. It was a pretty efficient system. There was a lady in the front giving tickets and maybe about three more people in the front directing the cars to go merge in the order based on their number. They would look at our number and determine who came in line first and who was next. We got through the line quick. We ordered the kid's meal, a Caniac combo which is a six piece, and a four piece meal. We took it all home and it was delicious. We loved that it was still hot and fresh. Other fried chicken places that we go to are far so it's not so hot and fresh. We will definitely be going back again. read more
