Not to be confused with Raiding Cane's which is when this place gets robbed. So this is a perfectly good Raising Cane's location which we come to now and again when we're over on Westheimer. We like it, but at the same time it could also be better. The chicken can be a little bland, and I don't like that you have to pay extra money for sauce. I literally used to be employed by this establishment and it was a great experience. The food used to be excellent. I still live nearby and thought I would stop in for some of their delicious fries and honey mustard. I asked for extra crispy fries. Normally when you ask they will cook them a little longer. My fries were limp and nasty. One thing I noticed, I honestly believe they are using smaller sized crinkle fries. They are not the same. The honey mustard sauce was nasty. They do make their own sauce and they have changed the honey mustard. I am disappointed if this is how they cut corners. Granted my order was small, I am grateful it was because I would have been angry if I paid that much for low quality food. I called and complained and they offered to make it right, but you cannot make it right serving me with the same nasty food. read more

The last 3 times I have gone to Canes I have found the same problems at different locations. first, I have been a loyal customer for some time but that is all going to end soon. It seems that they no longer use tenders where the tendons have been removed. so now when you bite the chicken, you will most likely get tendons or cartilage even in your bite. even at home, I always remove the tendons. the reason this bothers me is because now I'm getting inferior chicken at a higher price. Cane has probably gone with a less trimmed chicken to save miney but we are paying more for it. My 3 bad experiences were on Fairmont Parkway location in Pasadena Tx and a fairly new location on Bay Area Blvd in Houston, TX. I hope that Canes reconsiders the chicken changes they have made. read more

Awful canes, everytime I've gone the portion sizes are tiny. The chicken strips are smaller than any other canes I've been to. Awful never going to this canes again. Unlike other fast food places, Cane's only offers one flavor dipping sauce, their dipping sauce. If you would like catchup for your fries, be sure to ask. All in all, this was a good Saturday lunch. My experience here was just eh. I came here on a Friday night at around 10 pm. Food: I ordered the 3 strip combo. Two of the strips were kind of wimpy and the breading was falling off because they were so greasy. Then I got one really big strip. The fries are crinkle cut which is always a plus, but half of them were crunchy and the other half were just greasy and soggy. The best thing about this place is THE CANE SAUCE. The sauce is actually the only reason I come to this place. I would definitely order an extra sauce too because one sauce is not sufficient for both the tenders and fried. I replaced the toast with an extra sauce. Service: This place is like an order at the counter and they call out your name when your order is ready. The food came out fast and the lady at the counter was really nice. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is pretty nice for a fast food restaurant. It was clean and nice inside. So overall... If you want a burger, a milkshake, or vegan options, you're on your own. It's just chicken fingers. That's it. If you want to make a chicken sandwich, grab some Texas toast, line em up, and have at it. They won't make it for you. It's chicken fingers. That's it. Its the only thing they do but they do it well. The fingers are on point, made to order, and they are always hot and moist. The combos consist the fingers, fries, coleslaw, and Texas bread. The sauce is legit. I would rate this place -80 stars. Went through the drive-through for one meal, they ended up charging me for two meals only to find out that I get reimbursed in three days. Ended up paying almost $30 for three pieces of chicken. The staff did not care and we're laughing. It didn't have that greasy smell that most chains have. They are open until 11pm Sunday-Thursdays and until midnight on Friday & Saturdays. This is great for those people who get late night cravings. The food itself was pretty good. I ordered The Box Combo ($6.79) which had 4 chicken fingers, fries, coleslaw, 1 cane's sauce, texas toast and a drink. The chicken fingers were kind of small and were pretty savory. But what sets Cane's apart is their special signature sauce. It is hard to describe so you have to try it out yourself. The fries were nothing special and looked like fries you buy from the frozen food section of the grocery store. I was a fan of their sweet tea, coleslaw (I am picky about coleslaw) and their buttered Texas toast. They also have pictures of famous people, dogs (canes), and Raising Cane's merchandise for sale. The chicken strips themselves were fresh, had a good portion of chicken to breading, and were very juicy. But for chicken strips that have been marinating for 24 hours, they really didn't have much flavor to them. Which leads to the question, what are they marinating in ? Every combo comes with coleslaw and fries, and a little container of dipping sauce. Personally, I was not too keen on the flavor of the dipping sauce. It kind of tasted like thousand islands sauce with a little bit of seasoning to it. I would have preferred to have a BBQ, Sweet and Sour, or Hot sauce to go with my strips.
