Skip this location. Save yourself aggravation. Love Dairy Queen, but avoid this location at all costs. This was not my first visit to the store -- visit number 3 -- but it ranks as my worst DQ interaction ever. Today is National Ice Cream Day and DQ is promoting $1 Off Dipped Cones. The cashier had no idea what I was talking about when I asked for the promotion. I showed him the DQ app, and he said he would have to get the manager. When the manager showed up he credited $1 -- there were three cones in our order -- and then tells us that the promotion is only for small dipped cones. (Where was this written? Sounds like he made this up!) We changed our orders to small (not what we wanted), and the manager departs to the back. The young cashier returns to charge my order, and I pay using ApplePay. Somehow the kid is distracted (perhaps he saw a squirrel), and supposedly the transaction is not processed. He asked me to pay again.... which already seems weird, and when I tried the second time the transaction was declined. Gee, no kidding. Two transactions for the same price, at roughly the same time, from the same place? Now at this point I ask for the manager again, and he refuses to return from the back. I asked for the name of the Franchise Owner so that I could report the incident, and the cashier has no idea what I am talking about (again) and the "manager" would not respond. We left without our ice cream, and a real bad taste in my mouth. Today should have been a pleasant afternoon with a delicious DQ dipped cone, and instead I received grief, aggravation, and left empty handed. The Franchise Owner needs to get involved and ensure their people have some idea of what they are doing. For now, however, stay away from this location. Tell your friends. read more

We've been to this location a couple of times. The service has been friendly and great. The blizzards are awesome and the onion rings are great. The burgers are good- normal Dairy Queen burgers. Avoid this place unless you are a very patient person. The food is good and the restaurant is very clean. The service is bad. We had to remind the cashier that we needed our drink cups. Then we had to remind them of our order because we only got part of it. Yesterday I broke down again and I went to my nearby Dairy Queen. Ok, ok so I bended my rules on never coming back but I did. I ordered my combo meal plus a cookie Oreo blizzard "at least I thought I ordered a cookie Oreo blizzard." Instead I was given a cookie dough blizzard. I admitted to the window cashier that I ordered a chocolate chip then stopped and blurted out Oreo cookie blizzard. I then excepted what I thought I made a mistake in ordering. I told them it was my mistake I would take it and try it. I tasted it and I didn't like it. I guess the team was watching me taste it and then voiced out that they could change it for me. I was surprised that they were actually being nice to me. I then nodded my head yes please. They took my cookie dough blizzard and exchanged it for what I wanted. Now that's what I call customer service. I'm now thinking of going back if they keep this customer service in pleasing the customers. I thought to myself they are finally learning. Let me start by saying that I am only leaving 5 stars because of one employee (ELIJAH) that turned our experience from negative to positive. We showed up to this location about 15 minutes before the dining room closed, but the drive-thru is still open for another hour and we planned on eating outside on the picnic tables anyway. Still, as soon as we walked in, we got death stares from the woman at the register and we could hear people in the back saying "how did they get in?". This location is notorious for closing their doors and the drive-thru earlier than their posted hours of operation. She asked Elijah to come take our order and told him to remind us that they were closing the dining room in 15 mins. She wasn't flat out rude, but her tone and looks were anything but inviting. Elijah on the other hand was as sweet and polite as could be. He took our order quickly, made sure we had everything we needed before we headed outside, and still managed to joke around and make friendly conversation with us so that we didn't feel uncomfortable with the fact that everyone else in the restaurant very obviously wanted us out. We then filled our beverages and waited outside. The dining room doors were locked behind us. While we waited, a man on a wheelchair went up to the door trying to get in. We told him that the dining room was closed but that the restaurant was still open. He waited for a bit and then started to leave. When Elijah dropped off our food, another group outside let him know about the man on the wheel chair who's order he wanted to take and bring out to him but he was not allowed to do so (I'm assuming by the employees inside). As we ate outside, we realized we needed some extras like hot sauce, gravy, and drink refills. Since the drive-thru was still open, employees were in and out running orders to vehicles and would leave the side door open. So I figured I'd run in and ask rather than get in my car and go through the drive-thru. Again, I was met with eye rolls and attitude from the employees except for Elijah who could see that I felt uncomfortable and told me not to worry. He got me what I needed and walked me back outside. He apologized that he had to lock the door behind me, but I told him I completely understood. We also ordered treats, but Elijah planned it so that we could wait until we were done with our food and then pick them up through the drive thru using our receipt. When we drove up to pick up our treats, Elijah had left for the night and we explained to the employees that we were just wanting to get the treats we had already paid for. While we couldn't hear what they were saying behind the closed window, we could tell that they were frustrated and ready to be rid of us. They all made us feel extremely uncomfortable and ashamed for asking them to simply help us and quite frankly do their job. Then we show up again today for some ice cream and noticed that he was at the window. When we pulled up, he greeted us with a big smile and said "Hey it's you guys!" I don't know how long Elijah has been working here, but he showed more professionalism and kindness than any of the other employees (including the manager) we encountered. Similar to the previous comments their time management sucks!!! Online it says they close at 10:30 and on their door it says 9 pm! We went into the restaurant at 8:54 to get a blizzard and they said their computers/cashiers were closed. Then they giggled and said "I thought you locked the doors!" And I guess the manager came up and said "why didn't you take her order" and the guy said "all the cashiers are closed". They barely opened this location 3-5 months ago and it's gone to the ground.
