I know In-N-Out has a huge fan base, but for me it's just okay. The cheeseburgers are probably a 6/10. They're not bad, but nothing special or memorable. The fries are my biggest disappointment. Most of the time they come out soggy, which puts it at about a 3/10. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day, I'm not sure. The chocolate shake is really good, it was a 9/10 and honestly the best part of the meal. To be fair, I do respect that they make their fries fresh from real potatoes right on the spot, and that's definitely a plus. Always a spot to hit when I have that late night burger and good fries craving! The line never stops but all the staffs are very efficient getting the orders out as timely as possible. The quality is consistent too considering they are working under the pressure non stop. I love to order their protein style cheeseburger so I can feel less guilty eating too much carb, or their Flying Dutchman with grilled onions. They make the patties fresh and chop the potato fries fresh too, you can see the worker in the open kitchen doing that work. I have been watching which restaurants came to fill the empty lot where Texas Instrument campus used to be. I remember seeing In-N-Out Burger on SW Freeway town bound but I couldn't remember where to exit. I actually came from the opposite side of freeway. I started from W Airport Blvd toward S Kirkwood Road within the open grassy field. Coming from the road to this parking lot was very tricky, too. The one-and-only entrance is from an interior roadway shared with Whisky Cake Kitchen & Bar next door. I arrived at 1:00 on a Monday afternoon. This large parking lot was almost full and drive-thru lane was wrapping around the building. I was wondering how busy it was inside. Once I walked in, I couldn't believe my eyes. There were no seats left at this restaurant. I was also surprised to see how fast the service was. I got my burger and fries in 9 minutes. There was barely any wait time. I remember last time I went to an In-N-Out Burger was in Austin, being the closest one many years ago.
