I wanted to highlight the staff first! The individuals are so kind and polite. The lady at the window about 1:30 went over and beyond. She raced to the window before I pulled off to provide me with my sauce that I ordered at the last minute. The food is good but wish they would cook their fry's a little longer always seem to mushy, and the chicken a lot of times the batter gals off before you can get the chicken dipped and eaten. I ended up getting the Box Combo and it was absolutely amazing for the first ever visit, the chicken was crispy, tender, and juicy and don't even get me started on how good the breading was as well. The fries were not that much for me to brag on but they were still good and the Canes sauce with with the chicken was absolutely amazing! The texas toast tasted like juicy garlic bread and I LOVED the crisp on the toast and the good crunch. There was ice put in my drink as well and it was a really good amount and they had gotten everything correct! I went to the original Raising Cane's in Baton Rouge years ago, and I fell in love... with Cane's sauce. I have literally driven with my friend from Houston to Baton Rouge just to eat here. I got SO excited when I found out they were expanding. It's the perfect chicken finger/sauce combination. I wish they didn't have crinkle fries though. I'm not knocking them a star for that, it's just a personal preference. I'm vegetarian now, but I can still eat fries and Cane's Sauce. They also will sell you a 32oz cup of just sauce. This Raising Cane's location is awesome. Just a few blocks from where my house was, this place effectively killed my obsession with another chicken strip joint across town. If you've never been to one, they offer chicken strips, chicken strip sandwiches, and chicken strip wraps, and that's about it...this specialization isn't much for variety but it also means they know their way around a piece of poultry. Raising canes is really good if you want a simple meal with chicken. It is not quite like Chick-fil-A has its own batter. I preferred Chick-fil-A, but raising canes prices are a little bit better. We were greeted in a non creep way when pulling up to the drive thru and she took out order and politely informed to move over where a very nice lady read us back our order to confirm and asked how we liked to pay and then gave us back our change. First off if your really indecisive Raising Canes is for you because they only give you four options for the combos so it made it really easy to choose. I'm one of those people who takes forever to decide what I want but they made it really easy for me. I got the box combo with four strips, coleslaw, Texas toast, french fries, and a sweet tea. To me, the sweet tea was better than chik fil a's! The chicken was really juicy on this inside, which I loved.
