Chicken fingers, Reuben sandwich, hamburger and a pork sandwich made the cut on our table. Portions are large and the prices were reasonable at $15 range for a drink and fries, sandwich combo. I think you can get a little overwhelmed if this is your first time with it being such a large menu and so many people buzzing around, but the folks were friendly and based on all the feedback around us pretty much everything on the menu ranks solidly. We got the sausage on a bun, chicken sandwich, and chopped brisket. All were beyond good. The bbq sauce was amazing. Chicken was cooked perfectly, and was so moist. Even my son enjoyed the food, and my son doesn't ever eat BBQ. Y'all, if you ever get an opportunity to try them, do it. Staff was so friendly. Onion rings are one of the hub's favorites so off we went. The restaurant is located inside an old railroad warehouse and it has a very rustic atmosphere. I had a few items picked out from different sections and Zyra our waitress helped me make the best choice. We started out with the onion rings with ranch dressing and we DEVOURED THEM! We both chose the blackened catfish and were both very pleased. The fillets were perfectly cooked with nice seasoning and topped with pico de gallo. The pico added some much welcome acidity and zestiness to the dish. I ordered the pinto beans and crispy new potatoes and they were all superb. We enjoy stopping in Nacogdoches and soaking up the history and great food that the oldest town in Texas has to offer! We will definitely return to Clear Springs. My sister's food didn't come out at all , not late, not forgotten in the kitchen, just never showed up because our waitress never bothered to check on us even once after taking the order. A couple of the dishes that did arrive were wrong, and we were stuck sitting there with empty drinks for ages because she disappeared and didn't come back to the table. We literally had to wave her down from across the room just to get her attention. Only then did she realize my sister's food was missing, and instead of apologizing or taking responsibility, she immediately blamed someone in the back. As if she hadn't ignored us the entire time and wouldn't have known anything was wrong because she never checked on us. Between the missing meal, the wrong dishes, the empty drinks, and the excuses, the whole experience was a mess. We won't be returning.

The side of green beans and carrots she got were actually pretty good so perhaps there was just a disconnect in flavor at the meat station this day.
