The center occupies 240 acres with an impressive tenant list of retail stores, professional offices, and restaurants... plenty of restaurants. We had lunch at one yesterday and had a delicious, fast, affordable, and very pleasant lunch at Cubbys. They are a "counter service" style restaurant where you order and pay at the counter, take a numbered placard for your table, and someone delivers your food to your inside or outside table. Their menu is overflowing with burgers, salads, sandwiches, tacos, quesadillas, bowls, types of fries, and Breakfast fare. We went with two half portion salads. My wife went with an $8.99 Mango Chicken salad, and I had a $9.99 Buffalo Chicken Salad. Both were pretty big for a "small" and had a generous supply of tender chicken pieces. I really like CUBBYS! I feel like they have a great simple menu. Everything is fresh. They get local grass fed meat and everything tastes so good! Their burger was amazing. I love the rosemary fries. The poblano chicken soup was delicious and of course you can't forget their whoopie pie cookies that are hard to die for! This place can be a little pricey, but I feel like their food is delicious so I'd rather spend my money on good food! We really enjoy Cubby's and make a point of stopping by for sandwiches any time we pass through town. The service is usually friendly and the sandwiches always tasty. We would like larger portions of fries but that's a minor gripe. Honestly, fries aren't a big deal most of the places we eat but the availability of Fry Sauce in UT makes us want to consume more fries when we're in the state. The one real gripe we have is that we'd like to see menu consistency among the locations. If you're going to have cheesesteaks in one you need to have them in all. Great food, poor service. I have loved Cubby's for a really long time and it has been a go-to anytime I needed something fast and fresh. Yet I went to this location tonight on my way home from a long drive and had to wait over twenty minutes just for a salad. Worse, there was no line so all of that time I spent waiting was after I ordered. I get that times are tough and finding employees is hard. They have signs around the restaurant asking us to be patient because they are short staffed. However, while I was there, I counted at least seven employees and three of them were hanging out, chatting at the cash register with no sense of urgency. I love Cubbys in the town I live in. I've never had any issues. I was in Spanish fork and called in an order. They said it would be 10 min. I paid over the phone and they said text when you arrive and they'll bring it out to me. 15 min later I pull up and text in as instructed on the sign at the pick up spot. I waited 10 min and no one ever brought my food. I called in and told them I texted in and had been waiting 10 min and then they brought it out. After getting our food we realized they only brought us 1 buffalo fries when I ordered 2 over the phone. I went inside and told them and they said I only paid for 1. Fine I'll pay for the 2nd one but I clearly ordered 2 over the phone and they got my order wrong. After waiting 3-4 min for my other fries I went up and asked if they could rush them out to me cuz my other food is getting cold. It's literally putting fries in a box and sauce in a to-go cup. I waited another 5 min before I got my fries. So now it was 10-12 min waiting from the time I texted + another 8-10 minutes waiting for my 2nd order of fries. I drive away and we start to eat. The fries were very good. Well mine were. They 1st order was lukewarm at this point. I get to my sandwich (steak torta) and I open it up and it's this crappy McDonald's bun with hardly any steak or anything and there was no fried egg like there was supposed to be. I'm used to big, filling cubby's burgers or chicken sandwiches and this was such a disappointment. The flavor was good but it looked like a cheap sandwich from the dollar menu. Plus, again, not everything that was supposed to be on it was actually on it. It's tradition to hit this cubbys everytime we are on a road trip headed through the area. We've been here countless times and everytime It's delicious. My favorite is the tri tip sandwich. They have a great kids menu too. The salads and fries are always amazing. I love beet salad because I love beets but the salad only had 3-4 slices of beets. If you're going to call it a beet salad then it needs to be packed with beets. It also had maybe two tiny orange slices. Other than that, the rest of the salad was good and the dressing was tasty. I also got the tomato basil coconut soup. It was...interesting. Updated review: I came back to try Cubby's again because the owner sent me a gift card. This time I skipped the black bean burger and went for a regular beef burger. I got the Houdini and sweet potato fries. I really enjoyed it. The bread was fresh, not dry, and the flavors blended together well. I took my daughter with me and she tried the Mac and Cheese. It was alright. It was lacking on the amount of cheese but what was there was pretty good. I did enjoy the amount of food given with the kids meal. It came with the meal item, fruit and a drink. It was a much better experience this time. I'm curious if their black bean burger is any better but I'll have to save that for another time. Original review: This was my first time going to Cubby's and I don't think I'll be back. I ordered the black bean burger and sweet potato fries. The burger looked impressive but was disappointing. Update: returned at the invitation of upper management. Cashier was friendly. Restaurant not crowded. Ordered a chicken buffalo salad and a gypsy burger with combo fries. Salad was terrific. While waiting, watched a worker not wearing gloves cleaning tables and chairs. Apparently one rag does both and several tables too. Still using the same common cleaning bucket of water which still sits on a shelf above the trash can. Daughter who worked in food industry tells me if it's a sanitation bucket, the cleaning agent is changed every 2 hours and it's acceptable practice to use the same rag on several surfaces providing only crumbs are being wiped off those surfaces. Realized worker was the same worker who brought our food to the table so I'm still hoping hands are being washed before handling the food. Just a thought but maybe locating the sanitation bucket out of sight of the customers would make this less if a concern, at least for me. I've been to this location on several occasions. I have always enjoyed the quality of food - my favourite, the T. rex. I find this just the right portion for me. However, tonight I am having second thoughts about eating in. As my husband and I were enjoying our dinner we watched one of the workers cleaning the tables. She first stood on the seating bench to clean above the partition. She used the same rag to wipe the top of the partition, tables, and trash receptacles! The seating bench interestingly enough went untouched - probably for the best . The rag was then thrown into a common cleaning bucket which is kept on the trash receptacle which sits just below the tray return shelf. I was disappointed to see that they no longer have the Chicago beef and it was only after I left the restaurant I realized that Cubby's Chicago beef no longer has Chicago beef on the outside of the building other than that the service isn't great and the past few times I've been there the food has gone downhill. I will say years ago it was worth the price but now that price has gone up in quality has gone down I won't be back. read more
