Chicken tenders keep getting smaller ‍ service is okay and for some reason they keep forgetting all the sauces even if I pay for extra

Stopped yesterday around 6 on the way back to Ft Worth, ordering 2 Boxes. Food came quickly but that was the best part of the experience. We eat at other Canes 2-3 times a month so we are accustomed to the franchise's standards. Food: the food tasted like either the oil has not been changed or filtered on a proper schedule. Odd taste when ate - but also later a leftover bad taste. Also, there was no ice in the fountain dispenser. Canes real sugar tea & soft ice is a key reason I eat here - but I like tea with my ice. So I had to go back to the counter for more ice a couple times. Cleanliness: lobby are was being attended to fairly well but when I visited the bathroom before leaving - it was a complete mess. Paper on the floor by urinals, stall, sink. Urine on the floor. Trash overflowing onto the floor. Clearly it had not been attended to for quite a while. It was "gas station standard" state of being. ( and you know what they say about restaurants: look in the bathroom and you know what their kitchen area is like). We will not return. read more

This Rockwall location was a disappointment. I was hearing giggling and cackling waiting for my order to be taken, especially from the girl that was taking my order. And then have me repeat myself 2 times for my order enjoying her conversation with the girl at the window. Secondly no type of greeting at the window and they were still giggling and laughing about whatever. All I have to say is those two black girls that y'all have at the drive-thru window about 10:45 pm -10:55 pm need a refresher on proper customer service. This is simple as their menu. The chicken is pretty dang good, the Texas sweet tea is really good, the cane sauce is great. Their fries are, well no flavor and just a crinkle fry. No real flavor and not particularly crispy. In my opinion it's overpriced but still good nonetheless. For me a guilty pleasure that I only do once a year or so. read more

Well. I held out the ever so slightest glimmer of hope that this would be good. It's not. With their cane sauce as the exception (being pretty tasty). Everything else, food wise was meh. Very friendly staff, enthusiastic, upbeat and all about the product. The problem? The product. So ok ok, the lemonade was tasty. Problem here is it's an up charge and they don't really display it that way. It just says "drink". Doesn't say drink except lemonade. Regardless, I pay the 27c difference (after already cashing out). Get home open 'er up and the fries are limp. Well at least half of them. Should've ordered them crispy, but whatever. They are frozen crinkle fries and below average. The Texas Toast, wasn't. It was a soggy half cooked piece of bread. Uncool. Surely the tenders will be good? Meh. They were ok. Bit on the dry side and the breaking itself was pretty flavorless and a torch too greasy. The only saving grace was the sauce. Pretty tasty. Won't be back I don't think. Not that that is a bad thing. I get enough fried food near work. IMO you can try it but it's a pass in my book. I used to have a gripe about the toast (usually more of a bread) at this location, but it seems they solved that issue. The only issue I ever have is the breading on the chicken sometimes tastes like old grease. Lately it's been better. Kids and I love this place. I love their chicken and the fries are always fresh and hot but to be honest folks here in the south don't really eat coleslaw unless we are having fish or seafood. Drive-thru, Saturday, mid-afternoon. The wait was short. Order was 100% accurate. Previous visits to this Cane's were unimpressive. This visit was outstanding. I ordered the Caniac hoping that half the chicken in the box would be edible. The whole box was wonderful. The chicken was very hot and fresh, and crunchy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. They were so good I forgot the dipping sauce. Just a tip for the workers at Raising Canes: When you run out of one of your sides that come with half your combo items like come slaw; it might be best to have a sign stating you're out or even just having the courtesy to inform the customer upon ordering that you're out. Being informed after receiving the combo and finding no cole slaw and instead getting an extra sauce is hardly an equal substitution. Why not offer extra fries or another piece of bread? I was sorely disappointed because I actually really love Cane's cole slaw and getting an extra sauce instead just seemed unfair. To add insult to injury, I ordered extra bread and could've saved a few bucks if I'd just substituted instead. The chicken was hot and fresh though so my meal wasn't a complete disappointment! Fries were pretty good too... Hoping the next time I stop here my slaw won't be out.. or at least I'll be warned beforehand! read more
