Easy to order in the drive thru..... Great prices. Ordered a tostada, taco lite and Diet Coke for $11.33. The taco shell was a delicious flour shell perfectly cooked. Meat and beans on the tostada were perfectly seasoned. Tons of packed cheese in my taco and very generous on the tostada. The taco weighed a ton. Unfortunately they only had 1 flavor of taco sauce and it was very similar to a tapatio type flavor. No green sauce or other options. I loved both items I ordered and very friendly staff in drive thru line. I will be back for sure. read more

I have been spending more and more of my time in Rockwall over the last couple years. And during the pandemic years the few restaurants that I was familiar with from Houston, have closed and gone away. So now that I have found Taco Casa... "TB" and "J-in the B" are not getting much of our fast food budget. The crispy tacos have recognizable ground beef, and taco seasoning and lots of it. You can taste the beef and know that you've eaten a taco after a couple of them. That you don't wanna do without any of their taco sauce, some of the best I've ever had out of a little packet. One of these bad boys are equal to up to three of the others any time. It took me a while to get to where I wanted something else off the menu... and I found their Chilada... It kind of threw me off when it only came with mild sauce, but I gave one a try... And now I get them two out of three times that I go to pick up tacos. Being kind of a chili snob, and the fact that hatch green chilies are my favorite chilies. At home I make my own sauce from dried chilies that I get right from Hatch, New Mexico. This sauce is very legit!!!! I highly recommend it. After several of their Chilada's, I got brave and I asked if they had a spicy sauce... The girl in the window asked did you mean our "green" sauce? I replied sure I'll try it!!! And ever since then I always get at least one "Christmas pair", I have learned this from New Mexico chili heads... Is red and green sauce on the same entrée, very typical in New Mexico. The rest is as they say history, I have yet had the need to go back to "TB" and "J-in the B" . And on top of the great food, the folks that work there are the most friendly people I have talked to through a window ever!!! Even on taco Tuesdays when you sometimes have to wait in the drive-through for up to 45 minutes!!! Which also speaks volumes for this particular Taco Casa!!! read more

If you're looking for some GOOD nachos - fresh chips, actual ground beef and tasty melted cheese, COME HERE. For just under 6$, I got a faat serving of chips, a full 8oz container of beef and an 8oz container of cheesy goodness. I LOVE that they keep the ingredients separate because literally nobody likes a soggy plate of nachos.. To add, I got the super tacos - they're called super because they're double the size in length so you really only need 1 or 2 and you'll be full.. the beef is tasty, love the cheese and the lettuce isn't soggy. I know pictures may not do it justice but take my word for it. And don't forget, you gotta try their hot sauce! Blends perfectly with most of the items on the menu. Last thing.. Be PATIENT. I don't do a lot of reviews, but this visit was worth making one. The drive through was full and although it appeared to be moving quickly, I decided to come inside. The woman took my order and was very pleasant. And then my food came out. I had my usual, two crispy tacos and a chili burger. Everything was fresh and filled with meat, lettuce and cheese. Horrible customer service. Every time we have tried to go, their dining room has been closed. The drive thru is fast enough - but if you love taco casa like we do, you know it's just not the same as when you eat it hot. So, we have learned to call ahead of time to check. Today a woman answered the phone with "what u want" - I said "is this taco casa? (Thinking I might have dialed the wrong number.... She said "yeahhh." Me: "is your dining room open?" Lady with dreads had real attitude, still tried to be nice and was snubbed. 12 tacos was almost $30 dollars, family had 1 taco each and couldn't even finish the garbage they gave us. How can you charge almost $30 dollars for straight stale tacos and then give someone an attitude on top of that. Only shows you how the owner handles their business. I have no idea why but I absolutely love Taco Casa. I swear it has to be the cheese. Something about a cup of cheese spilling out of the taco just gets my taste buds jumping. I'm clearly not the only one because every time I go to any Taco Casa there is always a line in the drive thru. What you are about to read is and was my personal experience and just so you know . I attempted to reach the Store Owner on 2 different occasions after this incident happened . I called twice and both times Jeremy answered my calls and on the 2nd time he said that the owner wanted to know the nature of my call . 1st off , when a customer calls and tells you the he or she had a bad and unprofessional experience @ your location that's more than enough reason to pick up the phone and call them to find out what happened and then do what you need to as an Owner to make sure that it does not happen again and to make sure you make it right with that customer ! That is what a REAL owner does when their customers are truly their # 1 PRIORITY ! I went in on 07.27.23 around 1PM and the female at the register who was Hispanic with glasses and on the heavy side took my order ! First , she had a look on her face that said "I hate my job, I don't like it here and I don't care about the customers" ! She also had that LAZY and I don't want to do much but stand here and hold the counter up look ! FYI , the counter DOES NOT need your help to stay upright ! I told her and explained to her how I wanted my tacos and then she says "you don't any meat in your tacos" ! I NEVER once said that so how she came to that conclusion, I have no idea at all ! After I finished my lunch I went back to the counter to get some casa delites ! Now every Taco CASA I've been to the person at the register will take a few seconds to step to the line grab them and then give them to me ! This female that seems to have a problem with taking steps or taking the initiative to take care of a customer stood there and took 4 other orders before I had to step in front of the next customer and ask her how long before I get those Casa Delites ! Then that's when she looked at me with a dumb look on her face and then went to the line to get them for me when that's what she should've done when I first ordered them ! I guess this Taco Casa only hires employees who will do the bare minimum ! If this female had a job where she had to move constantly , she wouldn't last half a day ! She probably takes more steps walking from her car to inside and from inside to her car than what she does the whole time she's inside ! FYI , there's a place called a gym ! Maybe you should try it or eat less so you can move more ! As far as the Management / Owner is concerned , I was once told by a TRUE LEADER that the titles done mean SHIT if you ain't a TRUE LEADER ! So given that I NEVER got a call back from the Owner ! WE now know that this location is LACKING a TRUE LEADER ! That's probably why they have the employees that they currently have ! So I've been here a handful of times. Never had an issue. But about 4/5 hours after consuming the food, I got very very sick. I'm still not completely better. I can't eat and I'm even afraid to drink anything. I'm in lots of pain. Now I work in the food industry so I know how important it is to be clean while handling food. I dont know if someone wasn't clean or if something they used was contaminated but I got food poisoning!! This is the only place I ate and I got sick hours after eating here. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! As I like to preface when I give 5 stars its a genre thing. For take out, fast-food, old school Texican food; Taco Casa is as good as it gets. The way I try and describe Taco Casa to the poor, unwashed masses is to get them to hearken back to days of yesteryear what the original Taco Bell used to be like circa bell-bottoms, Boston and Budweiser. The finely shredded cheddar cheese, the extremely tasty uncomplicated red sauce, FRESH lettuce, tomatoes, onion etc..., BLACK OLIVES PEOPLE! Meat, like real, actually cooked that day seasoned ground beef that came in a case saying GROUND BEEF. Freshly fried chips, tostadas and taco shells. Simple and glorious nacho cheese sauce just as good as the ballpark (in fact in RW I think they donate a bunch of this stuff for the YMCA league for sale at the field). The portions are excellent and the value is incredible! On top of that, the hot sauce is awesome. Little heat, nice acidity and flavor and goes good on everything they make. Which is another thing... The menu: it's simple, there's like 15-20 items, and they do them all extremely well. The kids working there are all friendly and have positive attitudes with big smiles on their face. Hell even the "uniforms" look like 1978 wants its wardrobe back. Drive by at any meal hour and see the line filled up. Well worth a wait IMO. This place is just sad. Won't be going back. Have really enjoyed TC through the years, but it is no longer worth the trouble. On 2/19 I sat in their drive through for 25 minutes. The main restaurant was dark and the doors were locked. People were approaching the building and leaving. People left the drive through lane out of frustration over the agonizingly long wait times. Hanging in one window was the Taco Tuesday ad. The special sale prices are now more than the regular menu prices used to be. I'd say every menu item has had at minimum, a 30-40 cent price increase. When I placed the order, I was told I had to have correct change if paying with cash as they were out of one dollar bills. (Send someone to QT and buy some ones for Pete's sake.) When I gave the person my money I requested a five dollar bill in change (best I could do). He stated that I had to have correct change. I told him to check the register for a five, which he did; but he seemed completely butt hurt about doing so. So, you are now paying more for the worst service this place has ever provided. They could take a lesson from Rosa's. On a high note, the food was OK and I received enough napkins and hot sauce packets to open my own restaurant some day. I would have originally given 5 stars because upon our initial visit I was impressed with how much food you can get for a good price for the family and then how fast that been burrito filled me up. They load your tacos up too. My sons actually share the bean burrito(they are younger). My husband and I have been getting the nachos to share. My daughter loves the crunchy tacos. Here's my thing. It's cheaper to get the nachos and just add what you want. We normally add the sour cream, beef and beans. We don't like tomatoes. It comes w/jalapeños. Well today I ordered it like this and the guy tells me so basically the super nachos. I was like no just the nachos and add sour cream, meat and beans. I know it's way extra for the super nachos so this is why I order it the way I mentioned above. Sour cream, olives and beans are priced individually at .49 cents extra not sure if the beef is same pricing but if it's a build your own type of menu item why can't you give me the nachos like I ordered them? I have been ordering them that way and it is way cheaper. Also, some locations spread the nacho cheese, beans and meat throughout the chips (Garland location near 30). The A/C has been out at this place for a WEEK! It is SO extremely hot in there you can hardly bare to stay in there for more than 2 minutes. I can't imagine how the amazing workers feel. They are working so hard and sweating TO DEATH in there because the A/C is not getting fixed. THESE ARE NOT HEALTHY WORKING CONDITIONS. Especially in the food industry. This is NOT ok. Your workers are what keep that place afloat and treating them this way working in 100 degree heat with zero fans, zero AC, zero solution to the problem is absolutely unacceptable.
