Terrible experience! I did an online order to pick up in store for my Daughters 14th Birthday. She absolutely LOVES Canes. Ordered (4) Box Combos, (2) 3 Finger Combos, a Kids Meal and 4 EXTRA Canes Sauce. Got to the store to pick up, everything was on the counter ready for pick up. After checking my order I was missing a drink for one of the combos. Told the crew and they double checked receipt after I had told them I ordered 6 Combos and a Kids meal so I should have 6 adult drinks. Treated me as if I was trying to get a free drink? After getting the drink I checked my food to make sure that was all there. I was missing my kids meal?? They checked my bags, once again feeling like i was trying to get something for free when my bags haven't even left the counter??? Told them, you got my kids meal drink here, but no kids meal?? Finally got my kids meal and at this point was checking for my 4 EXTRA Sauces. After checking, I had seen they had threw some extra sauces in a couple of the Combos and the girl insisted they were in the Combos. Not sure WHY my extra sauces were thrown in ANY of the Combos??? When I ordered them separate from the Combos, but at this point in the experience tired of feeling like I was in the wrong for asking for what I paid for... I was just Done! I Grabbed my bags and came home because Canes was a surprise for my Daughters Birthday we were celebrating. Just to get home to see I only received 3 EXTRA Sauces and my food was cold??? OMG! Okay, very seldom do I leave a restaurant review but this place is deserving. My wife and myself took my 88 year old mother to Canes today and we were met with polite , courteous, and helpful people. Placed our orders and the chicken I must say was great. The place was really crowded but still employees were there to help. This was our first time to eat there and rest assured it will not be our last. I will say also that the chicken cooked here is so much better than another Chicken place in town that is very busy and I do not understand that. This place has some really great chicken fingers- I always get the 3 piece tenders combo! Every worker I interacted with was extremely helpful and friendly. It also doesn't hurt that the company does give a discount for veterans, military members which i appreciate!! Every time I go to work in Tyler if I'm there for lunch Canes is the place I go to eat. There is also a really nice guy who monitors the dining area keeping the entire area clean and doesn't mind taking your empty plate when you're done-I was very appreciative of that gesture. Oh, and I can't forget the guy, who was either the shift manager or manager, who helped add the discount to my meal. He could have easily ignored me and just added the discount to the cash register but while doing that he said hello and asked how I was doing. Just one more reason to visit this place. read more

My wife is the Fan of this place, I prefer their Competition that makes WAAY BETTER CHICKEN, but I digress...We made a trip over to get Chicken tonight because my wife had a craving. We ordered a Box for her and I got a 3 piece with an extra Tender because I DO NOT LIKE their version of Coleslaw, but wanted 4 Tenders. My Fries were as cold as they could be considering the outside temperature, the Lemonade (which costs EXTRA) was so weak it looks clear to me, and the Tenders were small and thin! Especially, the one they put in its own box and is in the photo. This was THE WORST drive-thru experience we have had since they started with this whole COVID HOAX! While Pam (one of the managers) was very apologetic and put me down for a remake, the thing that bothered me the MOST is because EVERYTHING, except casual dining, is Drive-thru ONLY, A REMAKE DOESN'T HELP WHEN YOU BRING HOME WHAT YOU WANTED AND IT WAS AS BAD AS THIS WAS!! The Toast was the BEST part of my meal :( I find it very irritating that some of the people that work in fast food will put some of the food that they do in your bag! The fries looked like they were in the bottom of the pile that had been there since lunch! Does the manager ever look at what is being pushed out the window? At least I made her aware of the WEAK LEMONADE, but that didn't really help me, but SOMEONE IN CHARGE SHOULD BE CHECKING on what they are serving, shouldn't they?? I am a huge fan of Canes. One of my favorite places to go. But last night I was highly disappointed. As me and my boyfriend pulled up, before I even got to the speaker I was greeted. Again before I could even roll down my window. We always order the same thing. Our same combos with extra sauces and toasts. I ordered my meal first and was immediately cut off with a repeat of my order and ready to be given my total. I had not finished ordering. Furthermore, this continued as I tried to order our meal. Cut off after every word and was thrown my total for me to pull up. She was very anxious to get me in and out of that drive thru. If she would have stopped and listened I could have given her my full order with no confusion. So as we get home with our meals, we are yet again disappointed. Our food was cold. The chicken tasted like it had been sitting out for hours and the fries were worse. They left out all of our extras we had asked and paid for. Very disappointed. Hope they get things better.
