The tenders were crispy on the outside juicy on the inside and seasoned just right. The fries were perfectly cooked and paired really well with the meal. Great food, great service. Came here looking for something quick and simple. I got a two piece, dark, fries and Cajun rice with a sweet tea and an apple pie. Chicken was great, not fatty at all for dark meat and was PIPING HOT! No complaints at all. Fries were not great, and I would take a star off because I didn't love them, but were also very fresh and well seasoned, so I can't een do it to em. Dirty rice was absolutely amazing, perfectly seasoned (warning will be very hot for people that don't like spice). And I had to save the best for last, the Apple pie was absolutely amazing. Ok yall. I'm a little heated. I usually try to clear my head and think rationally before posting yelp reviews for the world to see, but I went into going to Southern Classic Chicken KNOWING I'd end up leaving a yelp review if "this" happened. And it happened. I work 12 hour shifts. I had a crappy half blah lunch today, and I've been craving some fried chicken. Sure there's a BRAND NEW Louisana Fried Chicken that JUST opened up like 1/2 a mile down the road, but, I've been to Southern before. They messed up last time. I wanted to give them a chance to atone for their mistake. I was on the phone as I was pulling up to the window to pay for my Jumbo Combo. I gave the girl at the window my card, she gives the card back. She hands me my sweet tea. I put it in my cup holder. She hands me my bag of food. I say "Is there hot sauce in here? I love that hot sauce." She says "Yes there is." I drive home. I let my dogs out (they didn't pee in the house after being home alone for 12 hours, amazed, double treats for them tonight). I open my bag of food. I pull out napkins. I pull out my box of food. I pull out 5 packets of ketchup. I open my box of food. THERE'S NOTHING LEFT TO PULL OUT, YALL. DO YOU GET IT? THEY FORGOT MY HOT SAUCE. No. Nononononononono, they didn't forget it. THEY LIED TO ME ABOUT IT. Last time I went, they forgot it. If you're not giving hot sauce automatically with your fried chicken, you're mishandling your business. EVERYONE wants the hot sauce. THIS GIRL LIED TO ME. I was literally on the phone with my dude and said they didn't give me hot sauce last time, AND THEY DIDN'T GIVE ME HOT SAUCE AGAIN. Now I am scrambling around the house. I have this fried chicken, and no hot sauce. The fries in this meal look miserable. They're quite clearly all separate fries, but they're all mushed together. They look like what a block of toy french fries would look like, because they're in 1 solid glob. They don't taste good. They're cold. I NEED HOT SAUCE TO RESCUE THIS MEAL. They didn't give me any, and now I am scrambling. SOMEHOW I am out of hot sauce in the bottle at home too. I look in the furthest reaches of my sauce drawer and find TWO packets of Schotzsky's hot sauce. That's all I have to eat with my fried chicken. I'm never going back. Never. But to no prevail, there was no dine-in, you had to walk-up to the window and or take the drive-thru route. After ordering up a two piece wing and breast chicken box, I added a order of fried chicken liver and very BIG sweet tea to wash it down with. The chicken was very tasty, very crispy and it has a spicy flavor of Louisiana hot sauce. The chicken Liver was deep fried to perfection...and of course since I was going to be driving for a few more hours, I decided to pack a peach and apple pie to go! The food at this location is good, but I will not be going back due to the lack of professionalism customer service. My experience tonight was far less than satisfactory. As I was placing my order, the cashier cut me off at two meals and provided me with the total. She did not inquire if that was all... she simply provided me with a total. I then stated that I was not done ordering, and I received no response. When I pulled up to the front window, I informed the cashier that I was not done with my order and that I still needed 3 more meals. She then told me that " it was after hours so they could not drop anymore" although the sign at the drive through stated they were open until 10pm and it was about 9:13pm. Very good chicken. Similar to Grandy's or Churches but not as oily. I was given spicy without asking I guess that is the only way it is served. Not over spicy, spiced just right. Warm service. No dine-in, walk-up and drive-thru only. Reasonable pricing too. I will be back when in town. read more

Cashier had an attitude out of this world. She was very rude and belligerent when taking our order. Repeated five times that we wanted ranch and classic sauce which she repeated back to us and when we got order of course we had BBQ sauce and honey mustard sauce. Her and the employees fixing the food were having side bar comments about the situation and I'm pretty sure they purposely put in the wrong sauce. Which cost 49 cent for each sauce. We have a receipt that proves we asked for ranch, Buffalo ,and classic sauce. We're polite and courtesies but didn't receive the same attitude. This is my second time experiencing an unpleasant customer services from this restaurant and its very much a shame considering the food is great but the customer service is terrible. Honestly the best place to get fried chicken in Tyler seven days a week. (The actual best chicken is at Rick's but the only serve it at lunch on Mondays.) the chicken has a great spicy kick.
