I emailed via her website and received no response. I called and left a message. A few days later I received an email (I had asked her to email, not call back). Once we made contact, scheduling was easy. The massage itself was excellent for an all-over relaxing massage. Valerie did a great job on my neck and hands, utilizing some great stretches. The reason I knocked down a couple of stars is that when she asked what I wanted from the session I specifically mentioned that my hips are my problem area and that is where I wanted the focus. I also wrote on the intake form that my hips were my focus area. I mentioned that I wanted deep pressure. Maybe I wasn't clear about my desires for the massage: to work out problem areas and relieve pain. I felt she could have asked some follow up questions to make sure we were on the same page (I thought we were). I was enjoying the massage, looking forward to my hips being worked on until she abruptly said, "I'm done" and walked out. I was stunned. She hadn't even touched my hips. She had barely touched my lower back, or my thighs. With the exception of my neck, all of my problem areas were ignored. I think Valerie is an exceptional massage therapist, but a poor communicator. Lastly, the location on Wilmot is hard to find. I was 5 minutes late, filled out paperwork and undressed before we started. It appears she starts the clock at your appointment time. She stopped exactly 90 minutes after my appointment time, which means I only received (guessing) a 65-75 minute massage, since part of the time was spent filling out paperwork and waiting for her to come in after I undressed.

I have to walk around the building and find a staircase to get up to the second floor. A minor inconvenience. Second, the door was locked and the lights were turned off during business hours. I knock on the door for 4 or 5 minutes before an old man with a paint brush and a confused look answers the door. I inform him that I have a massage scheduled for 4:15. He meanders on back and comes out and says no one is answering their door. Third, he informs me that I need to call my massage therapist, Valerie. Why the people working there cannot call is beyond me. So I call Valerie. No answer. I inform the old man that there's no answer. He tells me, "Well, I don't know what to tell you." I ask the old man to get somebody in back. He walks back and after a couple minutes, comes out with another lady. She proceeds to tell me that my massage therapist is not there. She informs me that I can sit down and wait for her. I leave. Last, and my favorite part, was the phone call I got at 4:45 from Valerie. Valerie opens with "This number called me." I said, "Yes I had an appointment scheduled with you at 4:15." Valerie sharply snaps back and say, "Well my paper says 6:15!" I tell Valerie that I'm looking at the confirmation right now, and it's says 4:15. Valerie comes back with, "Well my paper says 6:15!." I tell her that I guess it's not gonna workout then, and hang up the phone. Worst customer experience I've ever had. I would discourage anyone who has thought of using this place from buying their services.
