Colleen is a truly a genius when it comes to babies, lactation, family dynamics, mental health, and anything else that could possibly come up post-baby. We love that we can text her and get instant answers - Google has nothing on her! She was also an amazing health advocate for me because of her background as an RN (even joining in doc apts) as I had complex postpartum complications and our family will always be so grateful for her guidance and positivity. We also hired Colleen for her sleep specialist program/sleep training and her custom schedule, coaching, and tips made it so easy. Our son has been sleeping through the night and taking 4 naps a day since 3.5 months old. (Now he's a pretty chill baby, but Colleen is magic.) Working with her is worth every penny, whether it's for a first baby or navigating multiples. I cannot say enough about what an amazing Doula and person Colleen is. I met her through my acupuncturist and from then on she checked on me and cheered me on in the weeks leading up to my delivery without being a client of Your Family's Journey. I had a difficult delivery and on top of that, my son wouldn't latch, which was very stressful. The day I was released from the hospital I reached out to Colleen for help. She dropped everything to come and meet me at home to assist me and my family. She stayed for over three hours that first visit and was beyond amazing. She diagnosed my sons tongue tie, and even brought her backup and licensed lactation specialist Heather Kinder to get a second opinion. They are an amazing duo. Colleen assisted me both mentally and physically through one of the most challenging times of my life in the weeks after delivering my son. She's there to cheer you on night and day & assist in any way she can. Colleen is a wealth of knowledge, experience and connections in Tucson. I want to blast the internet with this review because Colleen absolutely saved us. We have lots of family & friend support but nothing compares to what Colleen offers. Wow - she is a real life, hands on encyclopedia for all things newborn, baby, postpartum, etc. My son was on a tube feeding in the NICU after birth so I worried breastfeeding was a lost goal. Colleen came over the day after we got home from the hospital and after a few hours of her help, my son has been exclusively breastfed ever since and is almost 6 months old now!!! She was far more helpful than the short and expensive lactation consultant appointments we wrongly assumed would suffice. She came over several times for several hours to keep helping with latch and breastfeeding, but she also helped with his first bath, had great advice for sleeping, checked on me from a postpartum perspective, provided emotional support, lots of tips and tricks you won't find with a google search, and we kept purchasing more hours because she was SO helpful and worth every penny! We would have been a total scared and clueless wreck without her. Just knowing she was a text or phone call away during the early weeks of a new baby was priceless. Do not hesitate, book her as soon as you know you're pregnant!!! She will be one of the first calls when we know we are pregnant with baby #2!! read more

Here is a stab at it....Colleen has supported my family with all 4 of my babies. 14 years ago as a new mom recovering from a c-section and learning to breastfeed, she helped put our minds at ease to most recently with our latest surprise baby. She helped me with my physical and emotional recovery after my c-section and 3 VBACs. With each baby, she came with no agenda and supported us how we needed her most. She gave all our babies their first in-home baths, shared with us different ways to calm our babies, listened as I discussed my frustrations and challenges with breastfeeding and monitored my emotional health. So much has changed in 14 years but I know Colleen always stays up to date with all the current recommendations and guidelines, so all I have to do is ask. She was flexible with her hours and quick to respond to all our questions both then and now. Colleen is simply amazing! As first time parents we really didn't know what to expect when we brought our baby home from the hospital. Even before our baby came home with us Colleen was helping us every step of the way! She helped us make sure we had everything done that we could before our baby arrived. Once our baby was here she checked in on us and how we were doing in the hospital each day. My daughter had a tongue tie and Colleen personally contacted her pediatric dentist connection and got us an appointment right away. Her know how even at a distance came through when trying to nurse my baby. Once we got home she was a literal God send! I don't think I could have continued breast feeding if it weren't for Colleen! She showed me different positions and tricks for better latching and feeding. Any questions we had Colleen had an answer. Her knowledge when it comes to babies is unmatched! Her constant guidance and reassurance was so vital to us as new parents! If we had any issues we knew we could call or text Colleen and she would be right back to us with an answer or suggestion. We are truly so grateful for all she has done for us! I don't think we would have made it without her!
