Somewhere along the journey I became determined to find the deli olives that were on sale... but could not for the life of me figure out which counter they belonged to. I also didn't want to interrupt anyone because the place was busy, so instead I just wandered around looking suspiciously like someone casing the olive situation. That said, I was shocked at how much I ended up with for how little I paid. Organic tahini, Biscoff cookies (obviously), a few pickled items, some produce... somehow my cart kept filling up while my total stayed reasonable. I also realized halfway through that I should have bought a kettle here instead of the one I recently purchased elsewhere. Regrets. I was definitely a busy day at the market with lots of interesting stuff, especially if you like foods a little outside the norm. It's a bit out of my way for regular trips, but I could see myself swinging back through on Wednesdays for the deals... and possibly finishing my olive investigation.

Baklava bar that is insanely good, and their butcher bar is amazing including Hilal meats (research Hilal meat better than how our American meat is processed). Hilal is like Kosher in that it is a religious way they render their meats. Back to the review they added an olive bar and I'm a green Olive fanatic. Try the grilled green olives if you go and you'll get your life. Produce is fresh and reasonably priced. I was told the chilly sauce here does not contain artificial red food coloring. This is a small chain with locations in CA which made ma tad nervous but the food was actually good. It is counter order. I will mention that something about the restaurant makes it VERY loud. Any sound in there of just silverware or someone talking with reasonable inside voice sounded very loud in this space. It almost felt like they would just need some scientist/ space designer to come there and tell them to add a carpet near the bar or a piece of furniture somewhere and it would easily be much better. Something about the space made everything much louder than it needed to be and seemed like something that some expert would know how to correct for them. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. Also for the poori or bread served with the thali there is no refill, so you should expect to eat most of the dishes with rice and other carb heavy food.
