Idk why I haven't written this previously but if I could give this store a rating of 1,000,000- I would- not a point less. The highest score available and then some. Raj is the NICEST liquor store owner around. He gets to know you, calls you by name when he sees you, and chats about life. He posts pictures of people with their fish catches on the walls. His prices are comparable to grocery stores if not better. I will purposely drive out of my way to give him business rather than others. It's crazy to think of a liquor store owner as one of your friends- but honestly- when I buy from there- I do. I literally never had met this man in my life but he saw me a few times and remembered my name from my credit card and would then always call me by name when I entered the store. It's stuff like that you remember and it makes you feel good. Raj is very often working when I go in and asks me about my life and genuinely cares. I really think he is a gem and his store will always continue to get my business when needed because of his amazing kindness. Love you Raj and Go Raiders!! read more

Bad customer service and products are overpriced. Did not feel welcomed here and would not recommend.

Terrible selection with lots of ridiculously overpriced items and to top it off the person at the front was super rude.

Came in tonight with my government issued FEDERAL (federal trumps state) active duty military ID and was told they only "accept" state issued ID. I said I wouldn't be coming back since the woman at the front couldn't be bothered to look at the back of my MILITARY ID (which shows my birthday clear as day) and another man at the register said "that's fine". Large selection, but over-priced with sub par service. Would rather give my business to a corporation like BevMo than here. read more

I love this place and drive past 3 liquor stores on my way here to spend my money with Raja. Great prices on wine for an independent liquor store and a great selection to boot.. Ditto IPAs. Bonus points for an operational humidor for the cigars rather than the glass case that LOOKS like a humidor that other places use. read more

No stars. WORST LIQUOR STORE EVER!!! Who puts two heavy bottles of wine in a double bag that is still as weak as a single bag? Came home with my purchase and sure enough, a bottle falls through like knife to butter, glass and wine goes everywhere, cutting me and soaking me with Rose wine in which Is not a great situation. I call the liquor store and the man who answered decided since he's been doing this for 30 years and knows how to bag... and that he'd go half way after I just spent $16 on the bottle. Why would I spend more for a bottle that broke due to the lack of brain power to properly bag a bottle. So irritated especially since I've given so much business to this place that you'd think they would just replace the bottle and not ask me to spend more money for a dang bottle of wine. Horrible service and no longer is my choice place to buy wine. Beware and make sure he triple bags your wine. read more

Raja's has a solid selection of beer (better than the nearby convenience store) at a reasonable price. Like other businesses in the area, they are independent and locally owned. I don't care if you know my first name or not, getting refused service for pointing out a 45% price increase on a bottle of Pliny in a months time is out of line is ridiculous. $9/bottle! I would advise anyone to take a 10 minute drive to Dublin/San Ramon/Walnut Creek to the number of other stores that charge $6. I have never been treated so poorly at a store in my life. A good business plan would be to not rip off customers on one specific bottle, they may decide to never spend their money at your shop again. Instead charge a reasonable price for the main thing that draws people into your store and encourage them to buy other products as well. You lost more than one customer with this transaction. My favorite liquor/wine store. Good selection that is priced fairly. Raj will get it for you if it is available. AND when I asked about a special order he told me his price would be much higher than Safeway because of volume with that distributor.
