As of December, 2022 this place changed ownership. The previous man who ran it was a great guy. He was on top of things for the most part. The new management is bad at stocking, but my real complaint is their scan prices often don't match the sign on the shelf. Eg my gf went in to buy Kendal Jackson Chardonnay. In the chilled section it is marked as 12.99 but when scanned it's 14.99. She told them this and they overrode it and gave her the shelf price. Yesterday I went to buy the same product and had the same experience. So they have been told TWICE the prices do not match and they haven't fixed it. On drizzle it showed they had Weller's in stock so I went there. It was out of the way by about 20 minutes but it was worth it to get a bottle of Weller's. They didn't have it but the woman working at the counter said she would have it by 10 the next morning. I left a business card and said I would be back the next day. I went in here a couple weeks ago. Wanted to buy beer. There were no prices. I asked the guy behind the counter why. He said the prices change every couple days and he didn't want to be bothered with updating the tags. So I asked "the only way to know what something costs is to ask you ?". He said yes. They have the lowest prices on all the beers and especially their bourbons are the best(price vise and collection vise). The gals workin there are super nice. however their selection sucks. Most liquor stores are crammed wall to wall with booze. Kav's is so overstocked with the typical whiskeys and vodkas, they should order a bottle or two of something to give it some variety. Their wines are also ranging, but limited in selection. Either more than $ 22 or less than $ 8. Genes next door has a HUUUGE selection of beer compared to Kavs, but at a larger price (if comparing coors for instance). Wow, it's like I died and went to heaven,only this heaven was filled with alcohol at affordable prices. From the movement you walk in to when you walk out, you are surrounded by bottles on bottles of beer,whiskies & wines. The selection is unreal! You have cheap to really,really expensive stuff.this goes for pretty much every single alcohol that they carry. I've never seen 380$ malt whisky. The best part is their prices beat EVERY store around,even Safeway. Their selection of bourbons are really unbelievable with prices... Sorry, I don't go into a liquor store, to buy snacks. They're usually overpriced, and short on selection. I go into a liquor store, because it says LIQUOR, on the sign outside. I could give a flying crap, about their ice cream, snack selection. This place was always and will a remain a place for me to get my type of bourbon, saving me about $5, compared to other stores. I like that!! Yes, I've bought a few lotto tickets, cigs, and beer, and it's always been a quick in n out. Store is small, so if you're looking for a large selection of things, I would suggest some other place. Please, try to remember, the people behind the counter, have to deal with everything from high school kids, to drunks who get pissed off, because they were refused a sale, as they were beyond wasted. This can begin to wear on a person after awhile, no matter how good your customer skills tend to be. You have a whole shopping center to park, so never seemed a problem. In fact I would recommend not parking in front of the store, as you will then have to back out into one of the main entrance, exit areas.
